Poem: Grim Reaper
Death. The mythic force that overshadows all existence. It covers all. Controls all. Dominates… all. Its presence is an effervescent reality that all creation must face.
Scythe. It reaps. It takes. It subtracts from what is. One swipe and all life ends. One swipe and all life ceases to exist. One swipe… nothing but darkness.
Cloak. Secrecy. Silence. They never see it coming. They never hear it coming. It creeps up and strikes at the last minute, when it’s least expected. With a single breath, it’s over.
Shroud. The deed done. The shroud lay. The body rests. Nothing left inside what once carried life, now nothing but an empty vessel left to its own fate.
The hourglass shows the fading time. Time now lost, sitting silent, to tick no more.
Death. The inevitable end to all things.
Poem: Lost
Lost in an amalgamation of darkness. Light ceases to exist along the fault lines of existence.
Lost in a steady flow of restless busyness. Never stopping to smell the decayed roses.
Lost in the heart of society, lost in the bleeding sidewalks and streets paved with our blood.
Lost in the night, darkness overflowing around me. I can’t see, but I can hear the heartbeat.
Lost. Never again to be found.
