Writing has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I cannot imagine a version of my life where I am not creating stories in some form.

I write under the name Logan Pendragon. Fiction is my greatest passion, especially science fiction and fantasy, although I am always willing to experiment with something different. I write novels, novellas, short stories, poetry, and other pieces that do not always fit neatly into one category. Sometimes I just want to see what a story can become when I stop worrying about the usual rules.

A major part of how I think about writing is something I call Snapshot Theory.

The idea is simple. Every published work captures who I was as a writer when I created it. It is a snapshot of my ability, imagination, interests, and way of thinking at that particular point in my life.

I do not rush something out simply because I have finished the first draft. I work through my entire process, revise it, improve it, and keep going until I honestly believe I have taken it as far as I can. Eventually, I reach a point where more changes would mostly make the work different instead of making it better. That is when I let it go.

Once something is published, I do not want to spend the rest of my life rewriting it to match the writer I am today. Doing that would erase part of the record. My older work shows where I was at the time, while everything I write afterward shows what I learned and where I went next.

That does not mean I believe every book is perfect. I do not think perfection is a realistic finish line for any writer. Snapshot Theory allows me to give each work everything I have, accept it as a completed part of my history, and then carry what I learned into the next one.

Everything I publish becomes another snapshot. Some pieces show an earlier version of me, and newer ones show what has changed since then. I want that record to remain visible, and I plan to keep adding to it for as long as I am able to write.
