Dark Oasis
This book/story is part of Dark Oasis, a branded line of experimental dark fiction created to house my most disturbing work.
Stories published under the Dark Oasis name may range from short fiction to full novels, but they share a common identity: they are written without comfort in mind. These works explore horror, obsession, corrupted intimacy, psychological fracture, toxic desire, moral decay, fear, control, compulsion, trauma, and other transgressive emotional territory.
Dark Oasis titles may contain disturbing or offensive material, including psychological horror, dark romance, abusive or manipulative dynamics, obsessive relationships, coercion, captivity-themed tension, emotional degradation, violence, sadistic themes, erotic darkness, fetish-charged tension, taboo desire, mental deterioration, paranoia, dissociation, grief, despair, self-destruction, moral corruption, and scenes intended to provoke discomfort or unease.
Not every Dark Oasis title will contain every element listed above. Some stories may lean more heavily into horror. Others may focus on obsession, toxic longing, corrupted desire, emotional captivity, or psychological collapse. But any work bearing the Dark Oasis label should be approached with the understanding that extreme darkness may appear in different forms.
Dark Oasis exists as both warning and promise: this is where my darkest fiction lives.
This work is intended for adults only. Reader discretion is strongly advised.

That was… until I was diagnosed with dementia a few months ago. I noticed strange things happening for many months before that, but I ignored them. I thought I was above it. I thought I was immune and immortal. I had some strange notion that my intelligence would protect me from everything.
I was wrong. So… wrong.
