The Art of War: A Modern Interpretation
The Art of War has guided generals, rulers, leaders, and strategists for over two thousand years. But its lasting power is not limited to ancient warfare. It endures because Sun Tzu teaches a disciplined way of thinking: evaluate clearly, move deliberately, preserve strength, and create advantage before conflict begins. This edition presents The Art of War in four layers: the original Chinese text the 1910 Lionel Giles translation a new modern translation chapter-by-chapter modern interpretation and application Rather than treating Sun Tzu as a collection of quotes, this edition is built to help readers understand how the book works as a complete strategic system. Each chapter includes translation notes that explain important wording choices, followed by modern commentary that maps Sun Tzu’s ideas into leadership, business, decision-making, relationships, and everyday life. Inside, readers will explore themes such as: situational analysis choosing the right battles winning without unnecessary destruction preparation and positioning leverage, momentum, and timing adaptability under pressure reading signals and context commitment, escalation, and restraint intelligence as the foundation of strategy This edition is for readers who want more than a classic text on the page. It is designed for readers who want to study The Art of War, understand it in clear modern language, and apply its principles with precision in the real world.

WTF - A Beginner's Guide to Swimming
Part of the Wisdom That Fits series Swimming is useful for safety, exercise, recreation, and sport, but a lot of beginners reach the subject with years of discomfort around water. This guide starts there instead of assuming you are already relaxed in a pool. It explains: - getting comfortable in the water without rushing the process - floating, breathing, balance, and body position - how the arms, legs, and body begin working together - the basic structure of freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly - turns, streamlining, endurance, pacing, and open-water considerations - water-safety awareness, common injuries, and the limits of self-instruction This is a reading guide, not a replacement for supervised lessons. A book cannot see that you are becoming tired, correct your body position, judge an open-water condition, or help you if something goes wrong. Beginners should practice with qualified supervision in controlled water where they can stand. The goal is to give you enough understanding to make instruction easier to follow and to know why the basic skills matter. It is part of the Wisdom That Fits series: a practical starting point for readers who want the structure of a subject before deciding how far they want to take it.

WTF - A Beginner's Guide to Quantum Computing
Part of the Wisdom That Fits series Quantum computing is one of those subjects that usually gets explained in one of two ways: as impossible physics that only an expert could understand, or as a machine that will eventually replace every computer we use. Neither version gives a beginner much to work with. I wrote this guide to provide a practical starting point without opening with advanced equations. It explains: - how classical bits and quantum bits differ - what superposition, entanglement, interference, and measurement actually mean - how quantum circuits and algorithms turn those ideas into computation - where researchers are testing quantum systems now - which applications show real promise and which claims are still mostly forecasts - the security, career, and ethical questions developing around the field The book also spends time on the limits. Quantum computers are specialized machines, not automatically faster computers, and much of the current hardware is still experimental. Like the other books in the Wisdom That Fits series, this is a snapshot of the subject at the time it was reviewed. The basic concepts should give you a useful foundation, but changing hardware claims, company roadmaps, and research announcements should always be checked against current sources.

WTF - Beginners Guide to Dinosaurs
Part of the Wisdom That Fits series Most of us learn about dinosaurs in pieces: a few famous names, a museum skeleton, a toy, or whatever a movie convinced us a Tyrannosaurus sounded like. Those pieces mix real evidence with old guesses and entertainment, which can make the actual science difficult to separate from the popular version. This beginner's guide explains: - the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods - what scientifically counts as a dinosaur - the major dinosaur groups and how their anatomy differed - what fossils can tell us about diet, movement, feathers, growth, and behavior - why pterosaurs and marine reptiles were not dinosaurs - what happened during the end-Cretaceous extinction - how birds survived as the living dinosaur branch - how paleontologists reconstruct incomplete animals and revise older conclusions The book also covers strange species, major predators, dinosaur myths, fossil discovery, and the Bone Wars. Where the evidence is incomplete, the guide separates what scientists know from what they reasonably infer. Paleontology keeps changing as new fossils are found and older fossils are studied with better tools. This book is a snapshot of that evidence at the time it was reviewed and a starting point for understanding why the picture may change again.

The Expanse Mythos: World Building
The Expanse Mythos is a fictional origin story and cosmology created as the basis for an imaginative multiverse. It chronicles the beginnings of existence when only Everling and Shadow occupied the void. After eons alone, Everling creates Mate and they set out to build the Omniverse, Multiverses, and Universes that will hold all of Everling's creations. This original mythos explores concepts of infinite alternate realities and universes, providing a framework for the author's fictional tales. The imaginative worldbuilding establishes entities like Everling, Shadow, and Mate as primordial cosmic beings who shape existence in the expanse. Their conflicts and choices ultimately result in the branching Multiverses that comprise the Omniverse. With elements of fantasy, science fiction and mythology, The Expanse Mythos crafts a cosmic origin story for the author's ambitious imagination. It sets up an underlying lore for an infinitely expanding narrative universe.
