Battle of Barren Zone

Author Note: A short story that details the events of something that happens as a side event during one of the first 3 books (out of 5 total) books. Battle of Barren Zone The barren zone. A horrific amalgamation of criminals, traffickers, and thugs. Athanasius knew of it long before his banishment, but Lisa’s first encounter with it horrified her. When the crew of the Valkyrie visited the X1b73 dimension on a nearby mission, they ran into a criminal transport ship, and it was the first time Lisa had ever encountered the concept of Interdimensional being trafficking, which was worse than localized human trafficking on Earth. It tore a sore spot in her soul because on Earth, her sister was sold into sex trafficking at a young age, for most of her life. In this pain, she responded harshly to the interdimensional being trafficking, resulting in Athanasius swearing on his honor to liberate the Barren Zone entirely when he was able to. Now, Athanasius
