I am debating and working through a code flow that'll allow me to manipulate/work with Mysql (SQL syntax) directly into Codex as well for the purpose of pushing to a database automatically and keeping them in sync.

If your host supports the Auto-deploy via the github modules, or if you're able to turn that on it's a lot easier. That avoids you having to do a lot of workarounds and is a LOT less messy.
