Kurohyō 1: Kamurocho's strongest ranking, every opponent and reward
The street ranking is separate from Dragon Heat. It opens through the Chapter 4 ranking substory. After that, speak to Kodo in the Hotel District to arrange fights.
You enter at rank 30 and can challenge opponents up to three places above you. Winning moves you into their position. Skipping a rank does not cost you its one-time item: the skipped rewards are included when you advance.
The money can be earned again, but the item prizes are first-time rewards. Beating someone below your current rank does not give experience or style proficiency. Don't build a leveling plan around endlessly beating the lowest-ranked opponent.
THE WHOLE LADDER
Each entry below lists the opponent's character level, fighting style, entry fee, victory payout and first-time item. The payout includes the entry money; it is not all profit. English item and style names can differ between translations.

THE SIX SUBSTORY MILESTONES
Reaching the top 25, top 20 and top 15 gives 500 experience each. Top 10 and top 5 give 1,000 each. Becoming champion gives 2,000. Those are six separate substory clears, so a near-complete substory list can still be waiting on the ranking ladder.
GETTING THROUGH THE HARDER FIGHTS
The low ranks aren't a good preview of the top ten. Train your stats and styles, repair injuries and bring recovery items before paying the larger entry fees. A ¥100,000 entry followed by a ¥140,000 win is ¥40,000 profit before your healing costs.
Watch what happens when an opponent blocks. If your follow-up punches keep getting caught, stop repeating them. Use a short attack to create an opening, attempt a grab, then move away when the exchange ends. Against fighters who answer immediately with a throw, a failed grab is your cue to retreat, not try another one in the same spot.
HAYATA is particularly dangerous at grabbing distance. Mifune also punishes careless strikes. Against Kito, make him commit to a large attack before moving in. Nobu and Togashi are better approached with short exchanges than a long string of punches you hope will break through.
Read a reward's effect before equipping it. The Champion's Ring makes enemies more aggressive; its name doesn't mean it makes every fight easier. Lucky Beads reduce street encounters, which is useful for traveling but less useful when you're deliberately looking for street fights.
Save before a difficult challenge if you're protecting an undefeated record. This ladder is worth finishing, but you don't need to throw away a no-loss run to test an opponent.
