Kurohyō 1: batting, bowling, UFO Catcher, karaoke and massage completion
These five activities have different completion requirements. Getting a prize isn't always enough, and some of the requirements aren't what you'd expect from the other Yakuza games.
BATTING
Go to Yoshida Batting Center in the Hotel District. A round costs ¥300. For completion, hit at least 15 consecutive home runs.
The pitches are fastballs, but their speeds change. Adjust your timing rather than memorizing one rhythm. Watch where the ball goes: pulling it left means you swung early; sending it right means you were late.
The panels can reveal the next pitch's speed, keep the next pitch at the current speed, or multiply distance by 1.2. Fourteen consecutive home runs open the bonus sequence. Keep hitting its continuation panels to extend the run.
The ranking combines home runs and distance. Its starting benchmarks and prizes are:
• First: 12 home runs/1,500m, Superhuman Necklace.
• Second: 10/1,200m, PLAYER Piece.
• Third: 8/1,000m, BANKER Piece.
Notice that first place doesn't require a 15-home-run streak. Winning the necklace and finishing the completion entry are different goals.
BOWLING
Mach Bowl is behind Theater Square. A game costs ¥500, and you can choose five or ten frames. A perfect five-frame game counts for completion, so you don't have to maintain the streak across ten frames.
Choose your starting position, stop the angle indicator, choose power, then apply spin before release. One starting setup to practice: one position right of center, straight ahead, power around 90–96, and a small left spin. Adjust if the angle slips. Don't assume maximum power will fix a bad line.
Five-frame ranking benchmarks:
• 130: Kick King's Bracelet/Misanga.
• 110: Blackjack Amulet.
• 90: Bust Amulet.
Ten-frame benchmarks:
• 270: Fudo Myoo Bracelet.
• 240: Club No. 2 Card.
• 210: Weeping Hourglass.
The final frame includes bonus throws. Keep going until the game ends rather than stopping mentally after the fifth strike.
UFO CATCHER
Both Club Sega locations, Theater Square and Nakamichi Street, charge ¥100 per attempt.
Completion means emptying one cabinet. It does not mean collecting every different toy. Keep choosing retry until all eight toys are gone. Leaving the game resets the contents.
Hold the control for horizontal movement, then depth. Use the claw's shadow to judge the center of the toy. This version requires a lift, so don't rely on pushing a prize into the hole the way you might elsewhere in the series.
There are 15 toy varieties: four chicks, four dogs, four Super Monkey Ball characters and three Hito-nyan cats. Both stores draw from the same selection. Reset before starting your serious attempt if the cabinet looks awkward; once you're clearing it, stay in that session.
KARAOKE AND MASSAGE
Karaoke costs ¥500. Filling its gauge restores health and gives 200 EXP. Massage costs ¥5,000 and gives full health plus 700 EXP when the gauge fills.
Both use a 30-second Circle-button tapping challenge. For each completion entry, reach at least 200 presses on ten visits. Aim above 200 rather than stopping the instant the gauge fills. The gauge can fill before you've reached the completion target.
Keep the two totals separate. Ten successful karaoke visits don't complete massage too. These are tapping activities in Kurohyō, not the song-selection rhythm game you might be expecting.
