Kurohyō 1: the three Survival courses
Survival isn't another Kodo ranking. Load your clear data, then open Extras from the title menu. The mode puts you into a restricted level-1 challenge, so your upgraded story character doesn't turn it into a victory lap.
There are three courses:
- Course I: 18 standard enemies. First-clear prize: ¥45,000.
- Course II: 24 intermediate enemies. First-clear prize: ¥360,000.
- Course III: 12 advanced enemies. First-clear prize: ¥720,000.
Those prizes are one-time rewards, not repeatable earnings. Course III has fewer opponents, but they are stronger and use Heat attacks.
Use R to switch targets after a grab attack. Staying focused on one opponent while another closes in is an easy way to lose control of a group. Save Heat for situations where several enemies are making it difficult to act, rather than spending it automatically against someone isolated.
Practice controlling the space before worrying about clearing the longest course. This mode tests what you can do with restricted abilities, not how much money you spent at the dojo.
