Kurohyō 1: all four part-time jobs, how they work and what counts for completion
If you're looking for work before Chapter 3, keep going with the story. Ask a Poppo clerk about jobs, follow the lead to Asia, help the tout outside and finish your first security shift. The follow-up message opens work at the other three businesses.
Choose the work option when speaking to the staff. Buying a meal doesn't start a shift, and completing one shift doesn't finish the job's completion-list requirement.
ASIA: SHOW SECURITY
Return to Asia, the club where the Chapter 3 job introduction takes you. Move left or right to a standing customer and press the button over him: Circle or Cross. Leaving customers standing raises the excitement meter. A full meter ends the show.
Seat 60 customers before that happens to clear a shift. Your first 10 consecutive correct actions raise your work level; later increases need 12. The level goes up to 5. Higher levels pay more but also demand more attention.
Watch the button before pressing it. Running across the room while ignoring someone beside you usually makes the situation harder to control. A customer who sits down on his own isn't an input mistake.
Completion target: 999 customers seated across your shifts.
KYUSHU NO. 1 STAR: RAMEN DRAINING
Find the ramen shop in Pink Alley, behind Pink Street. Press Circle as the moving marker reaches the blue section. The center awards COOL; the rest of the blue awards VERY GOOD. Yellow is a lesser success, while red is a miss. Nine misses end the job.
Successful blue results build toward Hyper Draining Time. When it starts, repeatedly press Circle. Each press adds ¥20. Afterward the job becomes harder and the pay rises.
Don't confuse clearing a shift with getting credit toward the completion counter: you want VERY GOOD or COOL drains. Those are the results that count toward the required 999.
If you're repeatedly missing while trying to hit the exact center, aim for the wider blue area first. A reliable VERY GOOD is more useful to this counter than an attempted COOL that lands in red.
GELATERIA KAMURO: GELATO TOWER
Select Gelateria Kamuro on the town map and speak to its staff about work. Press Circle while the marker is in blue to add a scoop. It makes three return trips, so you don't have to catch the first pass.
Eight scoops finish a full tower. Yellow ends that cone early without adding another scoop; red costs a mistake. Finish 10 cones to clear the shift. Four mistakes end it early.
The target is 999 scoops rated VERY GOOD or better, not 999 cones. Eight-scoop towers are therefore useful for both pay and progress. If the blue section is too close to the marker's starting point, watch for the return pass rather than making a rushed press.
SMILE BURGER: CATCHING ORDERS
Go to Smile Burger on Nakamichi Street. Move left and right, then press Circle to catch the requested item as it reaches the yellow catch zone. Check the order at the upper left. The requested product is marked, so don't catch everything passing in front of you.
A perfect order increases the work level, which adds more products and raises the pay. Clear 15 orders to finish a shift. Ten mistakes end it early.
Completion target: 999 successful catches, not 999 completed orders. The D-pad is worth trying if analog movement keeps putting you in the wrong lane.
HOW TO HANDLE THE GRIND
These four counters are cumulative. Work a few shifts, check your completion record and rotate jobs instead of assuming a clean run finishes an entry. For cash, compare what you actually take home from each job. The best-paying run on paper won't help much if you keep failing it.
All four jobs have performance-dependent wages and bonuses. The numbers shown during a shift are earnings for that run, not a guaranteed salary every time you enter.
