RYU GA GOTOKU KENZAN: REQUESTS 1-17 Kenzan has 100 requests, alongside 20 commissions and 20 bounties. These guides use the Memo Pad numbers and KHHsubs chapter-stage numbering. Do requests as their windows open: some cannot be recovered later. A request marked Finished still counts toward Amon. Complete usually means the better outcome and reward. The routes below aim for Complete. Top, middle and bottom refer to menu positions. 1. Kinuyo from Yumejiya Available from 5-1, any time, after filling Kinuyo's heart gauge. Meet her at Gion Inari, the eastern shrine. Investigate the man with a yujo near the southern gate, then report back. Find him again in the western alley off the middle of the main street. After the woman leaves, speak to him and win the fight. Return to Kinuyo. Reward: 2,000 EXP. 2. Suzukaze from Yumejiya From 5-1, any time, after filling Suzukaze's hearts. Speak to Yumejiya's owner outside the brothel. Go around its northeast corner to find Suzukaze with a man; speak to her after he leaves. Follow her father to Azamiya across the main street and defeat him. Reward: 2,000 EXP. 3. Momochika from Yumejiya From 5-1, any time, after filling her hearts. Meet her at Gion Inari. The story gives you 500,000 Cee-Lo chips and asks you to double them. Winning enough repays the debt directly. Losing the stake leads to a fight against the lender instead. Either route gives Complete and 2,000 EXP, so a gambling loss does not ruin this request. 4. Hinagiku from Azamiya From 5-1, any time, after filling her hearts. Meet her at Gion Inari and follow the date scene. Defeat the three men who appear at Suiten Inari. Remove the short-sword wielder first, since the other two are unarmed. Reward: 2,000 EXP. 5. Hanamaru from Azamiya From 5-1, any time, after filling her hearts. Meet her and her father at Suiten Inari, in southwest Gion. Speak to the medicine seller outside Tenguya. Buy the fourth medicine, Foreign Pill, for 1 Ryo and return to her father. Other medicines do not end the request; they just waste money. Reward: 2,000 EXP. 6. Shirayuki from Azamiya From 5-1, any time, after filling her hearts. Speak to Komeyoshi at Gion's southern gate. After the restaurant scene, go to Gion's northeast corner and rescue him from two men. Take out the lantern carrier first. Reward: 2,000 EXP. 7. Asagiri from Yumejiya From 5-1, any time, but first finish Requests 1-6 and fill Asagiri's heart gauge. Visit Gion Inari, then return to Yumejiya's entrance. Bring at least 50 Ryo and speak to Asagiri again. Defeat the two henchmen. Your 50 Ryo is returned afterward. Reward: 10,000 EXP. Clear all seven yujo requests and receive their final letters to earn the Immortal Turtle completion reward. 8. Gion Guidebook From 5-2, any time. Speak to the author near Gion's southern gate after completing at least one yujo request. Choose top to cooperate. He asks about a woman whose request you have completed. Answer, enter and exit Arigataya to refresh the area, then collect payment. Repeat for all seven women. Use these four-answer sequences: - Kinuyo, 絹夜: bottom, bottom, middle, top. - Suzukaze, 涼風: bottom, top, middle, top. - Momochika, 桃千香: top, middle, middle, bottom. - Hinagiku, ひな菊: bottom, top, middle, top. - Hanamaru, 花丸: top, middle, middle, bottom. - Shirayuki, 白雪: middle, middle, bottom, middle. - Asagiri, 朝霧: top, middle, top, bottom. Four correct answers pay 1 Ryo per woman. Two or three pay 5,000 Mon; zero or one pays 500 Mon. All seven interviews are required, but incorrect answers do not prevent Complete. Maximum payment: 7 Ryo, plus 15,000 EXP. 9. Stairway to Adulthood From 5-2, any time, after 8. Find the guidebook author in the northeast Gion lane immediately north of Ebisuya. Speak to him and finish the scene. Rewards: Resurrection Magatama and 1,000 EXP. 10. The Little Chili Pepper Girl From 5-6, day/evening. Find the red-clothed girl in northeast Rakugai, near the Gion entrance. Choose top to buy a chili pepper for 10 Mon. Walk away until the men approach her, then return and choose top to intervene. Defeat both men. Reward: 1,500 EXP. 11. The Hole in the Door From 5-6, day/evening, after 10. Speak to the old man by the house along southern Rakugai, west of the southeast exit. Choose bottom to stand watch. Question the suspicious visitor, chase him east toward the eastern save point and defeat him. Then confront the rumour-spreader near the Gion gates on Rakugai's northern street and win the second fight. Rewards: Flower-Pattern Incense Burner and 1,500 EXP. 12. The Enthusiastic Merchant Tanaka Appears From 5-6, day/evening. Find Tanaka at the western end of Rakugai's northern street, near the police box. Choose top to pay 200 Mon for his Surprise Coin Purse and two Brand-New Cloths. Walk away and choose top to test the purse. Reward: 1,200 EXP. Keep the cloths for later requests. 13. Temple School Homework: Reading From 5-6, day/evening. Find Mametaro on Rakugai's southern street, west of the central southward lane. Choose top to help. Answers: middle, top, top. Reward: 1,000 EXP. Get the FIRST answer right. A mistake there permanently prevents the best outcome of Request 53, even if this request itself still receives Complete. Getting all three wrong gives Finished here. 14. The Flavour of Candy #1 From 5-11, day/evening. Find the boy near Rakugai's eastern save point. Choose top and follow him to the candy seller in the central alley. Buy the fourth item, Golden Candy, for 1,500 Mon. Speak to the boy, choose bottom, then select the candy. Reward: 1,500 EXP. Other sweets are consumed without satisfying him. 15. The Flavour of Candy #2 From 5-11, day/evening, after 14. Walk away from the candy seller until you overhear the father and son. Return and confront the seller, then defeat him. Rewards: 1 Ryo and 1,000 EXP. 16. The Fiance From 5-12, day/evening. Approach Okiku at the western end of Kawara Street. You must LOSE the fight with Tasuke. Unequip any Resurrection Magatama first. Eating Sludge Worms can lower your health and shorten the wait. If you win twice, the third attempt starts you at 1 HP. Rewards: Tortoiseshell Hairpin and 1,500 EXP. Your health is restored when the request ends. 17. Kennosuke From 5-12, day/evening, after 16. Speak to the men on eastern Kawara Street, just west of the bridge. Confront Kennosuke farther west, near the road below Koetsu's mansion. Choose bottom to refuse his 3-Ryo demand and defeat him. When his wife asks for help, choose top. Find him near Rakugai's northeast exit. Rewards: Parsley, Green Onion, Canal Burdock and 1,500 EXP. Paying him or refusing to search gives Finished without the vegetables.
