Ryū ga Gotoku Kenzan!: the 24 Heat Actions you already know Kenzan's Heat Action record checks whether you've actually performed a move. Owning the weapon or learning the technique doesn't tick that box. These 24 actions don't require a revelation picture or a trainer. Their conditions still matter: the wrong weapon, wrong enemy position or wrong piece of scenery can give you a different action. Build Heat until the action prompt appears, then use it while the condition is active. Your early Heat capacity is too small for some of the more expensive moves, so complete Heat upgrades through training rather than assuming a missing prompt is a bug. The one you must plan around 1. Bellows Mastery: request 56, the blacksmith's fight. In unarmed style, grab an enemy and bring him to the forge's fire pit. Use the Heat prompt before the fight ends. Save before starting this request because this is the only opportunity to perform it. Walls, platforms and drops 2. Wall Attack Mastery: unarmed, grab an enemy and take him against a wall. Gion and Rakugai street fights give plenty of opportunities. 3. Platform Attack Mastery: unarmed, grab an enemy beside a knee-high surface such as a bench or low wall. Don't use a full-height wall, which triggers the previous move instead. 4. Pillar Attack Mastery: unarmed, drag a grabbed enemy beside a pillar. The shrine-gate pillars near Gion Inari are useful landmarks. 5. Kamo River Dance: unarmed, grab a regular enemy beside the bridge edge on Kawara Street. This is the Kawara bridge-specific move, not the generic cliff throw. It needs more Heat than the early wall actions. 6. Throwdown Mastery: unarmed, take a grabbed regular enemy to a cliff edge or suitable non-Kawara bridge. You can do it during the Chapter 3 opening route, or later in Cliff Road encounters. The Kawara bridge triggers Kamo River Dance instead. 7. Stair Mastery: unarmed, bring a grabbed regular enemy to the top of a staircase. River Road encounters are a repeatable opportunity. Stand at the upper end; standing halfway down doesn't give the same setup. 8. Heavy Drop Mastery: unarmed, bring a grabbed enemy to a stone lantern. Gion Inari Shrine gives a later opportunity if you didn't do it during the early Chapter 4 fight. Special weapons 9. Jitte Drop Mastery: equip a jitte and approach an enemy wielding a sword. Wooden swords count, so Gion works. The weapon shop sells jitte from Chapter 5 onward. 10. Umbrella Mastery: equip an umbrella and trigger the action as a sword-wielding enemy attacks. Wooden-sword enemies also work. Arigataya in Gion sells an umbrella from Chapter 6. 11. Star Actor Mastery: the performance-specific umbrella action. Complete request 32 to unlock the repeatable Star Actor game at Rakugai's shrine. Return at night and trigger it during a sword-wielding enemy's attack. Performing ordinary Umbrella Mastery elsewhere won't count for this entry. 12. Smoke Mastery: equip a kiseru and approach a bareheaded enemy. A hat or helmet prevents the intended setup. Arigataya in Gion sells a kiseru from Chapter 5. Objects you pick up Use unarmed style for these, then pick up the appropriate object from the battlefield. A nearby object isn't enough; Kiryu needs to be holding it. 13. Consecutive Strike Mastery: use a suitable one-handed object, such as a pot, close to an enemy. Follow the additional input prompts during the action. 14. Palm Strike Mastery: use a suitable light two-handed object such as a box, then approach an enemy. The game distinguishes its object categories, so try a different object if the prompt gives another move. 15. Cover and Strike Mastery: use a bowl or basket that can cover the enemy's head. This is a separate entry from the box-based Palm Strike. 16. Farming Mastery: pick up a long pole-type object and use it near an enemy. Kawara Street and Forest Road encounters are useful places to find one; don't spend the whole search looking only in Rakugai. 17. Powerful Drop Mastery: pick up a heavy two-handed object, then move close to an enemy. It takes more Heat than the lighter-object actions. More weapon actions 18. Hilt Strike Mastery: equip a wooden sword and approach an enemy. It's a useful one to get out of the way in Gion. The action also has follow-up inputs that increase its effect. 19. Thrust Mastery: equip a spear-type weapon and approach an enemy. A Tengu Staff works for this. An ordinary loose pole used for Farming Mastery isn't a substitute for the equipped spear setup. Downed enemies 20. Finishing Blow Mastery: in unarmed style, stand over an enemy on the ground. A compatible special weapon can also trigger it. The animation differs depending on whether the enemy is face-up or face-down, but you're filling this same finishing-blow entry. 21. Sword Finishing Blow Mastery: stand over a downed enemy while using a single sword or two swords. Do this outside Gion, where real swords are allowed. 22. Big Sword Finishing Blow Mastery: stand over a downed enemy with a greatsword equipped. Again, use a battlefield outside Gion. Interior-only opportunities 23. Shadow Stab: single sword, beside a paper wall or sliding door with an enemy on the other side in the appropriate fight area. The Chapter 7 Tsuruya fire sequence is a useful opportunity. Similar story interiors appear earlier and in the final chapter. Random open-air fights won't give you the required wall. 24. Tatami Flip: two swords, in a tatami-floored room when an enemy attacks you. Requests 35 and 92 are useful opportunities. Save before those fights if this entry is still missing rather than finishing both and hoping a street encounter will cover it. Before moving on Open the Heat Action record and check which entries actually registered. Bellows Mastery is the one-time priority, and the interior moves deserve their own saves. Most of the outdoor actions can be revisited in random encounters as long as you retain access to the relevant district. The remaining actions come from revelation pictures, training and the final meeting between the two dojo masters. They need both an unlock step and the right combat setup, so they have separate guides.
