RYU GA GOTOKU KENZAN: REQUESTS 18-34 This section covers the end of Chapter 5 and the first Chapter 6 requests. Chapter-stage numbers follow the KHHsubs walkthrough. Keep the enchanted swords you obtain; Request 20 needs them. 18. Water from the Ladle #1 From 5-13, day/evening. Walk past the house just north of Rakugai's eastern save point. When the woman splashes you, choose bottom to forgive her. Rewards: 3,000 Mon, Beautiful Woman Picture and 1,000 EXP. This also sets up the best payout in Request 40. The other choices still give Complete, but change the money and EXP. 19. The Enchanted Swords Man From 5-15, day/evening. Approach the seller on southwestern Rakugai's main road. Choose top to inspect the sword, then bottom to refuse the purchase. Watch the old man's intervention. Reward: 1,500 EXP. Request 20 begins immediately. Agreeing to buy also reaches the same result without charging you. 20. Enchanted Sword Collection Begins after 19. Visit the old man inside the Rakugai blacksmith during day/evening and hand over the following swords: - Bassarimaru: buy from Gion's Ebisuya from Chapter 6 after 19. - Suiken: Request 25. - Senraibo: Request 42. - Kanekuimushi: Request 43. - Haisuimaru: Bounty 136, requiring level 30. The earliest finish is 10-11. Rewards: Chifubukimaru and 1,500 EXP. Handovers consume the swords, so finish any use you want from them first. 21. The Show-Off From 5-20, any time, after 18. Speak to the man with two women near the southwest Rakugai tea house. Enter Forest Road, see the fleeing women, then continue east to the man and bandits. Choose top to help and defeat the three bandits. Choose top again to let him take credit. Rewards: Demon Remains and 1,500 EXP. 22. The Collection Box From 5-20, any time. Speak to the group in Rakugai's central alley. Follow Kota through the eastern save-point area, then toward the southeast corner. Finally enter the shrine at the end of the central southward lane and catch him at its collection box. Defeat him. Reward: 1,000 EXP. 23. Irresistible Skin From 6-1, any time. Speak to the recruiter near the southern end of Gion's western inner alley, just off the main street. Choose top to visit. Any selection of attendant is fine. Choose top to refuse the 2-Ryo demand, then defeat the three sumo wrestlers. Avoid their unblockable grabs. Rewards: Tengu Stone and 1,000 EXP. Paying gives Finished and no stone. 24. Two Sword Style From 6-1, evening/night, after 12. Speak to the information seller in the eastern Rakugai alley below Ikkonya. Choose bottom and pay 1 Ryo. Enter Ikkonya, speak to Sasemon, then leave and collect his letter. Meet him at the small central Rakugai shrine and defeat him. Rewards: Peaceful Spirit Orb and 1,500 EXP. 25. Enchanted Sword: Suiken From 6-1, any time, after 19. Approach Hikobei and the other man in Rakugai's northwest curved alley. After speaking with his wife, follow him to Ikkonya on the northern street and defeat him. Rewards: 2 Ryo, Suiken and 1,500 EXP. Keep the sword for Request 20. 26. The Cursed Teabowl From 6-1, any time, after 15. Listen to the three women near the udon restaurant on Rakugai's northern street. Speak to the bowl maker at the eastern end of Kawara Street, near the bridge. Choose top twice, then defeat the attacker. Rewards: Yamanoi Teacup and 1,500 EXP. If the bowl maker is absent, first trigger the opening event of Request 25. 27. The Gold Sword From 6-1, after 22. Listen to the two men near the police box, then speak to the blacksmith's apprentice. Choose bottom to take his Blunt Iron Sword. During day/evening, visit Mountain Road's waterfall and choose top to throw it in. Walk away until the woman appears. Answer bottom for BOTH the gold and silver swords. Leave toward the main Mountain Road, catch the pair talking and defeat the thief. Rewards: your Blunt Iron Sword back, Gold Sword, Silver Sword and 1,000 EXP. Claiming either offered sword as yours ends the request with no reward. 28. The Landlord's Treat From 6-1, night, after 17. Speak to the man on eastern Kawara Street, just before the bridge, and choose top. Meet the attendant outside the house farther west, below Koetsu's mansion. Complete the meal scene, then defeat four armed bodyguards. Focus on the iaido-using swordmaster. Rewards: 1 Ryo, Beautiful Woman Shunga and 1,000 EXP. 29. I Want to be a Chivalrous Thief From 6-1, night. Walk along western Kawara Street until the thief falls from the roof. Choose bottom to say you are hurt and receive 1 Ryo. Defeat the pursuing guards. The thief gives another 1 Ryo afterward. Total: 2 Ryo and 1,500 EXP. Saying you are fine still gives Complete, but forfeits both payments. 30. I Couldn't be a Chivalrous Thief From 6-1, any time, after 29. Approach the well-dressed thief and yujo by Yumejiya's northeast corner. Choose top to interrupt, then top, top, FOURTH to identify Asakusa Rokuzaemon. Receive 1 Ryo and speak to the yujo. Visit his house in eastern-central Rakugai, below Ikkonya. Choose bottom twice and defeat him. Return to the original Gion meeting spot. Rewards: Gold Kiseru and 1,500 EXP, plus the earlier money. Those exact opening answers avoid the timers attached to other dialogue routes. Supporting his plan instead ends the request as Finished. 31. Where's the Palanquin Bearer? From 6-1, any time, after 30 palanquin trips. Speak to the bearer at the northern Rakugai stop and choose bottom to search. Enter Ikkonya and speak to the customer nearest the door; stand between the table and entrance if the prompt is awkward. Find Zennosuke in the udon restaurant, then return to the palanquin. Top places a new stop in northeast Rakugai; bottom places it by the central shrine. Either choice gives 1,500 EXP and Complete. 32. Izumo no Okuni From 6-1, night. Approach the three men at Rakugai's northeast corner. Defeat the bounty hunters, follow the theatre scene and win the umbrella fight against four pursuers. In Heat mode, counter an incoming attack with Triangle to perform Star Actor Mastery. You can do it later in the minigame if missed here. Reward: 10,000 EXP. Choose bottom in the follow-up conversation to unlock the nighttime Star Actor minigame. 33. The Town Doctor #1 From 6-3, any time, after 23. Speak to the sick man at Suiten Inari in southwest Gion. Ask the man at the main-street junction opposite Yumejiya about a doctor, then enter the northern sushi restaurant. Speak to the white-clothed doctor at the counter. The middle conversation is required to make him appear. Rewards: 1 Ryo and 1,500 EXP. 34. The Imposter From 6-3, any time, after 33. Speak to the debt collector outside Kiryu's house, then confront the fake Kiryu inside Nakanokura. When he flees, catch him within 30 seconds at the main-street junction immediately southwest of the liquor shop, by Yumejiya's entrance. Defeat him and return to the collector. Rewards: Ultimate Tamahagane and 1,000 EXP. Missing the deadline gives Finished and loses the material.
