LIKE A DRAGON: ISHIN! EQUIPMENT WORTH BUILDING The full crafting list is for completion. For the story, pick a weapon you enjoy using and improve it when fights start taking too long. You can spend a lot of money chasing a final upgrade before you need it. VORTEX: A PRACTICAL GUN TO WORK TOWARD Vortex's appeal is its fast firing rate. It has 390 attack at Dull grade and 449 at Best, with five empty Seal slots at Best. The firing-rate effect occupies its own built-in slot; do not count that as a sixth empty slot. Follow this route: Domestic Revolver → Cloudy Skies → Winter Winds → Sturm und Drang → Vortex. Starting from Domestic Revolver, the whole shopping list is: • Volcanic Rock Fragment x1. • Misshapen Screw x5. • Picture of a Ghost x1. • New Screw x5. • Obsidian Chunk x1. • Worn Out Cogwheel x10. • Exquisite Cogwheel x5. • Crystal x3. • Small Wind-up Device x10. • Mechanical Parts x10. You also need the base gun and four hammers. The final recipe is B, so it opens at smithy level 10. If all four steps are made after the full 40% discount is unlocked, their combined crafting fees are 870,600 mon, or 87 ryo and 600 mon. That excludes the base gun, hammers and any materials you buy. From a Dull base, using a Bronze Hammer on each of the four upgrades gets you to Best. If the base or an intermediate is already a better grade, adjust the hammers rather than wasting grade increases beyond gold. For combat, Pierce helps against armor and Double Shot adds a chance of an extra shot. Repentance, also called Change of Heart, is an option when you have accumulated plenty of Virtue. The Seal guide explains where removable copies come from and how to install them. For repeated material runs, leave room for Greed. Put it on the weapon actually doing the farming attacks. Keep a separate combat weapon if you want different Seal layouts instead of constantly rebuilding one gun. DRAGON HAWK: STRONG, BUT EXPENSIVE Dragon Hawk has 445 base attack, 512 at Best, and built-in firing-rate and double-shot effects. It also has five open slots at Best. It is a good alternative if you want those starting effects together. The full gun recipe guide covers William's Worn Pistol trade and the Rusted Pistol step. The final Dragon Hawk craft needs five Dragon Fangs and one Precise Machinery. Its fee alone is 3,758,400 mon after the maximum discount, so price the whole project before committing rare materials. SWORDS: CHOOSE THE EFFECT YOU WILL USE Okanehira gives you fire and extra damage against armor, with 1,020 attack at Dull grade and 1,173 at Best. Its route is Nameless Sword → Ivory Sword → Elegance → Shiranui → Okanehira. The last step needs Phoenix Feather x2, Gold Nugget x10 and Platinum Filings x10. Oni-maru is a straightforward high-attack option: 1,130 at Dull and 1,300 at Best, with a guard-breaking effect. It comes through Bundle Blade → Keen Blade → Stonecarver → Missilecutter → Close Shave → Oni-maru. It has fewer open slots than some other final swords, so compare the finished setup rather than attack alone. Sparkling Jelly Blade is handy while you are still earning EXP and collecting drops. It carries bonuses for both, and its branch is short: Tunasmith → Jelly Blade → Sparkling Jelly Blade. Across those two upgrades you need Taro x60, Precious Steel x5, Silver Scrap x5, Gold Nugget x5 and Gold Chunk x5. Last of the Dragons offers health recovery from damage dealt and guard breaking, but it requires the final Amon reward and substantial dragon materials. Treat it as a late completion project. You cannot use it to prepare for the fight that awards its base. ARMOR: FIX THE PROBLEM THAT IS GETTING YOU HIT For surviving sword-heavy fights, compare Bladeproof Breastplate and its Purgatory upgrade. For gunfire, the corresponding route is Bulletproof Breastplate → Furinkazan. Their recipes are in the breastplate guide. Unbreakable Stance Gauntlets combine protection against blades with reduced elemental damage. They come through Wooden Gauntlets → Iron Gauntlets → Steel Gauntlets → Unbreakable Stance Gauntlets. Inviting Hat reveals substory locations, and Virtuous Hood increases Virtue gains. Those are useful walking-around choices. If you are heading into a boss fight, compare them with your stronger defensive or Heat-focused headgear rather than leaving a convenience item equipped automatically. Blood-soaked Headband prevents healing above critical health during combat. That can support a deliberate low-health build, but it is a poor choice if you expect ordinary healing to restore a comfortable safety margin. Read the effect before putting it on. BEFORE SPENDING THE RARE MATERIALS Check the final weapon's grade, the number of genuinely empty slots, and the effects already built into it. Plan the Seals before the final craft. Save before dismantling anything, then test the finished setup in a familiar fight before taking it into the next hard dungeon.
