LIKE A DRAGON: ISHIN! ALL SEVEN MAGICAL WEAPONS If Kurogane refuses a magical recipe, take it to the Dead-Eyed Man sitting beside the Jizo statue on Mukurogai's eastern waterfront. He handles seven upgrades that the regular smithy cannot make. Equip the base weapon before talking to him. A gun belongs in your gun slot; Jumbo Saw belongs in the Special slot. Bring the materials, choose the relevant weapon in his dialogue and hand them over. Check your equipment afterward to confirm the result. He takes the base and materials, but no money or hammer. Ignore the price shown for these weapons in the smithing diagram. The new weapon keeps the base's grade, so make the base gold first if you want a gold result. You cannot hand over a gray item and choose a better hammer at this stage. THE SEVEN RECIPES Skink Lizard Equip: Yaksha Blade. Bring: Obsidian Chunk x1, Precious Steel x10, Silver Scrap x5. Starting route: Nameless Sword → Ebony Sword → Yaksha Blade. Muramasa Equip: Skink Lizard. Bring: Bloodstained Cloth x1, Gold Nugget x10, Gold Chunk x5. This follows Skink Lizard directly. Equip the new sword before asking for the second upgrade. Blossoming Bud Equip: The Radish. Bring: Doburoku x20, Gold Nugget x10, Platinum Filings x10. Starting route: Tunasmith → The Radish. Carry all twenty Doburoku in your inventory. Leaving them in storage can make the exchange appear unavailable. Ichikura General Goods is one place to buy the drink. Cuckoo Equip: Peashooter. Bring: Phoenix Feather x5, Worn Out Cogwheel x5, Rusty Spring x5. Starting route: Wooden Gun → Peashooter. Spring in Full Bloom Equip: Chopstick Gun. Bring: Eye of the Dragon x2, Exquisite Cogwheel x15, Small Wind-up Device x10. Starting route: Wooden Gun → Chopstick Gun. Nenekiri-maru Equip: Jumbo Saw. Bring: Charming Doll x1, Thousand-Year Tree Branch x10, Sacred Wood x5. Starting route: Odachi → Centered Odachi → Battle-axe → Jumbo Saw. You need Knowledge of the Odachi from the Swordsman grid to equip that base in the Special slot. Last of the Dragons Equip: Worn Magical Sword. Bring: Eye of the Dragon x20, Dragon Whisker x20, Dragon Fang x20. There is also a 100-enemy requirement, explained below. LAST OF THE DRAGONS: THE EXTRA STEPS Win the second Amon fight, the duel at Kiyomizu Temple, to receive Worn Magical Sword. The earlier dungeon fight does not award it. See the Amon guide for the full unlock requirements. Equip Worn Magical Sword and talk to the Dead-Eyed Man. Defeat one hundred enemies with it equipped, then return with the three sets of twenty materials. Wild Dancer gun kills count while the sword is equipped, so you do not have to chip away at every enemy with its low sword damage. Keep your own count rather than expecting a progress display from him. The regular Sanada Stronghold finale, “Defeat Sanada Nobuyasu,” can drop Eyes, Whiskers and Fangs. They are random drops, so use the materials guide to plan repeat runs rather than assuming one clear will provide the full stack. If another magical upgrade is unavailable, check the exact base, whether it is actually equipped, and each material quantity. For Blossoming Bud, check carried Doburoku. For Last of the Dragons, check the hundred kills. Those are different problems from the regular smithy's A/B/C recipe gates.
