Like a Dragon: Ishin! (2023): Komaki's Training Komaki's dojo is east of the Teradaya inn in Fushimi. You can start in Chapter 2 after helping the Shinto Priest. Defeat the apprentice. This introduces Dragonwing Sortie, Brawler's special move. Get close, activate it, connect the opening punch, then keep using Light Attack. 2. Speak again for Dharma Tumbler. Double-tap Evade to roll; demonstrate it three times. 3. Win one street fight. Return for Knock Back: guard an attack, then use Heavy Attack as it connects. 4. Win three more fights. Evade & Strike follows: quickstep, then immediately use Heavy Attack. 5. Win three more. Tiger Drop requires Fighting Stance and Heavy Attack just before the incoming hit lands. 6. Win three more. For Cat-Like Reflexes, press Evade during a knockdown before Ryoma touches the ground. 7. Win five more. Shadow Bind uses Fighting Stance, Evade around the opponent, then Grab during that movement. 8. Win five more, then return for the duel with Komaki. Winning earns the Book of Revelations: Throw. Don't expect the final fight to be as forgiving as the demonstrations. Bring healing and improve Brawler before coming back if you're barely scratching him. Being able to reach this fight in Chapter 2 doesn't mean you have to beat it right then. Training opens the relevant locks on the ability wheel. Spend an orb to learn the ability afterward. The book has an extra step: repeatedly parry in Brawler, trigger the revelation prompt, then purchase Essence of Reverse Throw. The dojo still matters after the lessons. Once Brawler reaches rank 25 and every node is filled, return for its breakthrough fight against Komaki and his student. Winning raises the style cap to 50. The wheel resets for a second round of upgrades, but you keep the abilities you already learned.
