Like a Dragon: Ishin! (2023): Orbs, Style Limits and the Level 99 Breakthrough If a fighting style stops leveling at 25, you've reached its first cap. More street fights alone won't push it past that. Fill every node on that style's ability wheel, including the training and revelation skills, then return to its trainer: • Brawler: Komaki, east of Teradaya in Fushimi. • Swordsman and Wild Dancer: Ginryu, northwestern Rakunai. • Gunman: William Bradley, inside Unyuan in Rakugai. Each style has its own breakthrough fight. Winning raises its cap to 50 and opens another pass through its wheel. You keep the abilities you already learned; the new pass strengthens them. Expect improvements to things like damage, attack speed, Heat Actions and defensive timing windows, depending on the node. TRAINING ORBS VERSUS STYLE ORBS Character levels give you Training Orbs, which work in any style. Using a fighting style earns its colored Style Orbs, which belong to that wheel. You can replace a Training Orb already placed in a node with a matching Style Orb. That frees the Training Orb for another slot or a different style. Before deciding you need a long character-level grind, look for universal orbs you can move this way. THE CHARACTER BREAKTHROUGH This is separate from the four style caps. For Limit Breaker, reach character Level 99 and complete the training with all three combat masters. Return to Komaki's dojo for a fight against Komaki, Ginryu and William together. You can use all four styles in that fight, along with healing. Come stocked, create room when they crowd you, and don't feel obliged to fight all three with Brawler just because you're in Komaki's dojo. Winning resets the displayed character level to 1 so you can earn another set of Training Orbs. It doesn't erase your learned abilities. You don't have to grind back to 99 a second time for Limit Breaker; the breakthrough itself is the trophy requirement. If a style's breakthrough option is missing, inspect the whole wheel for an empty or locked node and verify its rank. For the character fight, check character level and the three masters' completed training. Those are different checks, so don't confuse a rank-25 style with a level-99 Ryoma.
