Like a Dragon: Ishin! (2023): singing, Buyo dancing and the udon shop
These three minigames have trophies for trying or completing them, but their Completion List requirements go further. Here's what you actually need to do at each one.
Singing at Utamaruya
Utamaruya is in Fushimi. Pay the owner 500 mon to sing. The remake has seven songs:
• Iji Sakura: Fighting Sakura
• Harapeko Biyori: A Fine Day for Food
• Asura Komachi: Asura's Beloved
• Samurai Ondo: Dirge of the Warrior
• Kokyou ni Nishiki o Kazaru Beshi: In Glory I'll Return
• Baka Mitai: I've Been a Fool
• Ichizu Samurai: Truehearted Samurai
Performing them all earns the song trophy. For completion, earn at least 90 on every song and check for Preferred Performer in the results.
On songs where Ryoma provides backup, select Passionate rather than Casual. The harder chart gives you the scoring opportunity you need. Press notes as the brush reaches them, hold the long notes to the end, and mash the Rapid prompts. When Ryoma sings, the timing follows his lyrics; backup parts tend to follow the beat.
Leave the song menu and speak to the owner again between attempts if you're also working on his friendship. Don't spend an entire evening in one session and assume every song advanced the bond separately.
Buyo at Nichibuza
Go to Nichibuza in northeastern Rakunai from Chapter 3. Approach its southern side to begin Nichibuza's Newest Fan. Finish that introduction to unlock regular dancing. Each session costs 1,000 mon.
The songs are Fubuki Kouta, Samurai Enbu and Heartbeat. Each has four difficulty charts, making twelve results to complete. Playing each song once is enough for Lord of the Dance; the Completion List needs First Class or Buyo God on every chart. A plain passing result won't do.
On Beginner, you're watching one side of the controls. Higher settings use both the directional pad and face buttons. Hit a button as its moving bar reaches the outer edge. Repeated bars mean repeated presses, so count them instead of holding the button.
Successful notes fill the Showstopper gauge. When it's ready, use the displayed prompt, then guide the fan along its track with the indicated stick. It's useful for scoring and for getting through a section you struggle with. If you're already hitting a dense passage cleanly, you can continue playing the notes instead.
On Geisha difficulty, watch the endings particularly closely. Heartbeat switches into alternating inputs, while Samurai Enbu has a quick alternating section followed by a sweep around the face buttons. Fubuki Kouta includes a single note tucked between repeated-note sequences near the end. These are good sections to practice once the earlier parts are reliable.
Maijo-sensei's friendship also eventually asks for Fubuki Kouta on Geisha. Keep speaking to her between visits rather than treating the twelve scores and her bond as the same task.
Working at Umai Udon
Find Umai Udon at northern Fushimi Ichibangai. After helping the Shinto Priest in Chapter 2, eat there, then return for All in the Hips to unlock shifts.
Memorize the buttons, then enter them after they disappear. The rope is your timer. A mistake costs a heart; three mistakes end the shift. Orders reach seven presses.
Chef's Recommendation makes every input identical. Use L1/LB when available; it refreshes after a lost heart. You can pause while the sequence is showing to memorize it.
Divine needs 5 ryo in sales in one shift. Udon Superstar starts harder and helps build sales faster. Ryoma only receives a share afterward, so use the sales figure, not his payout.
Noodle-Slinger Supreme has a separate cumulative 10-ryo sales requirement. A single Divine result therefore doesn't necessarily finish the trophy. Keep doing shifts until both the trophy and the Completion List entry are marked complete.
If a trophy appears early, check the corresponding completion page before moving on. That's especially important with Buyo: three songs played once and twelve high-ranking charts are very different amounts of work.
