Ryū ga Gotoku Kenzan!: all 50 storage keys The storage lockers are in Gion, on the main street near Kiryu's home. You'll open one during the prologue. The rest of the hunt starts with the Storage Lockers commission in Chapter 5. Do that commission before looking for the other keys. A few keys are above eye level. Look at roofs, lanterns and shelves as well as the ground. Once you find a key, open its locker. Finding all 50 without opening them doesn't finish the completion record. The labels need a quick explanation. The Japanese game uses the iroha sequence. The A–J labels below follow that same sequence, so A is I, B is Ro, C is Ha, D is Ni, E is Ho, F is He, G is To, H is Chi, I is Ri and J is Nu. If another guide calls something Ha-2, that's C-2 here. Keep that distinction in mind because the letter I and the Japanese label I refer to different columns. I've grouped these by area so you can collect several in one trip. The chapter notes tell you when the relevant area becomes accessible during normal story progress. Finish the Chapter 5 storage commission first. Gion: 18 keys • A-1: the story key at Gion Inari Shrine, beside a fox statue on the ground. The prologue sends you here for the collection money. In Kyoto Tour, A-1 is inside Gyotensai's workshop in northeastern Gion instead, with a different locker reward. • D-1: take the narrow alley behind Arigataya and check the ground. • J-1: search the small alley on the west/left side of Koyoro, the restaurant also written as Kouyourou. • A-2: the elevated wooden roof/walkway at the northeastern corner of the Suiten Inari area. This is the key involved in the storage-locker commission. • D-2: look upward in the alley just north of Nakanokura. The key is on a roof. • E-2: enter the little passage north of Nakanokura, between the drinking place and the sushi restaurant. Visit during daytime or at night; evening isn't a valid collection window for this one. • F-2: go inside Nakanokura and check the floor. • G-2: check the roof at Arigataya's corner. • I-2: look at the roof beside the martial-arts dojo, on its right-hand side. • A-3: check the ground directly outside Kiryu's home, the Tatsuya. • F-3: look on the wooden box beside the well in the well area. • J-3: go behind Gion Inari Shrine rather than stopping at its front. • A-4: check the narrow gap beside/below Yumejiya. • B-4: inspect the bench north of Koyoro. • G-4: look up at the roof over the gambling den's entrance area. • J-4: enter Tenguya pharmacy and check its entrance/floor area. • B-5: enter the information booth and check its corner, where the attendant stands. • I-5: go inside Ginya, the sushi restaurant, and inspect the floor. Rakugai: 9 keys • B-1: enter the smithy and continue into its back room. The key is on the floor. • H-1: inspect the small shrine near the centre of Rakugai, including its offering-box area. • J-2: go inside Ikkonya, also translated as Ikken'ya, and check the counter/interior. • B-3: enter Arigataya and inspect the pot inside. • C-3: look beside the cooking kettle in the Higashiyama shopping district. • E-3: check above you beneath the eaves in southwestern Rakugai, near the southern save-point area on Yamato Street. • D-4: inspect the railing/bridge immediately outside the main Gion gate. • I-4: check the bench north of Arigataya, around Nagaya Street. • A-5: inspect the shrine at the northeastern end of Rakugai, near the eastern end of Shijo Street. The smithy's key becomes available after the relevant Chapter 5 story visit; most of the other Rakugai keys can be collected when you first begin exploring the district. Kawara Street: 5 keys, reached in Chapter 5 • C-1: check the bridge floor near the Rakugai approach. • G-1: inspect the bench near the route to the Yoshioka Dojo area. • H-2: search the ground on the western/left side of the street, around the restaurant frontage. • E-4: check the ground outside Koetsu's mansion. • D-5: look on top of a lantern beside the approach to Koetsu's mansion. Don't mistake the lamp-top key for the separate one on the ground outside the mansion. Forest Road: 3 keys, Chapter 5 • F-1: enter the little shelter near the Rakugai end of the road and inspect the box inside. The horseback-archery area is nearby. • B-2: search the ground around the fork/entrance leading toward Shishido's cave. • G-3: check the raised edge of the ground on the eastern stretch of the road, toward Kiyomizudera. Mountain Road: 3 keys, Chapter 6 • E-1: cross the small bridge into the short side passage and follow it to the dead end. • I-3: search the ground near the Kiyomizudera entrance. • C-5: check beneath the steps near the shrine/hut in the southwestern part of the area. Kiyomizudera: 1 key, Chapter 6 • F-5: examine the dog-statue area. Check around the statue itself, not just the walkway beside it. River Road: 2 keys, Chapter 6 • D-3: inspect the little table at the roadside cafe. • H-5: look underneath the staircase around the middle of the map. Riverside Tea House: 1 key, Chapter 6 • H-3: inspect the pot beside the tea house, along its left side. Yoshioka Dojo area: 1 key, Chapter 6 • E-5: check the wall on the building opposite the dojo, near the Jizo save-point area. Hozoin Temple: 1 key, Chapter 8 • J-5: check the middle of the bridge inside the temple area. Farms: 4 keys, Chapter 9 • I-1: search beside the southern fence in the farm section closest to Rendai Field. • C-2: inspect the small bridge over the stream near the middle of the route. • F-4: check the ground near the entrance to the Yoshioka Dojo area. • H-4: search the ground in the first farm section. This is a separate key from the one immediately by the dojo approach. Cliff Road: 2 keys, Chapter 9 • C-4: inspect the cliff-edge section beside the bridge. • G-5: check the ground along the southwestern stretch of the path, beside the wall. That gives 50: Gion 18, Rakugai 9, Kawara 5, Forest Road 3, Mountain Road 3, Kiyomizudera 1, River Road 2, Riverside Tea House 1, Yoshioka Dojo 1, Hozoin 1, Farms 4 and Cliff Road 2. Open every locker, then check the letter at Kiryu's house for Lucky Beads. Equipping them stops random encounters, which is useful when you're travelling around to finish other activities. Don't leave the Gion keys and locker visits until after the final story departure. Keep a save before speaking to Ito in the last chapter if anything in Gion remains unfinished.
