Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: I love it so far, but the glitches are pissing me off Spoiler warning for the opening of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and Pavlena's quest. All right, so I spent a good bit of time today going through Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. I got through the initial prologue where you play as Godwin, then switched over to Henry and went through the opening events. Now I'm wandering around, and me and Capon have parted ways for the time being. I've been running around doing stuff before moving the main story along. First of all, I really like the game. Don't get me wrong. I love it. The atmosphere, storyline, music and controls are all well on par with the first one. I feel like the quality-of-life improvements way surpass the first one. But I'm relatively upset about how glitchy it's been for me. I'll get over it because, again, you can't be a gamer without running across glitches. It's just part of it. That doesn't make it any less annoying when you're spending your night trying to figure out what the hell went wrong. I tried to do the quest to save Pavlena and ended up spending about an hour and a half trying to figure out why it was glitching. When I went to save her, there was a dog there, and she was just strolling away from the abduction site like nothing had happened. The scene I was expecting was a confrontation with the guy holding her. You're supposed to have a chance to deal with him, convince him to leave her alone or fight him, and then free her. Instead, I came across the area and she was walking down the ladder and wandering off on her own. The dog at the beginning was barking at me, and I ended up having to kill it. Then I found the guy already dead. He was supposed to be alive for the confrontation I was trying to reach. I couldn't get the scene to happen properly, and I couldn't talk to her. So there went a good chunk of my night. I eventually had to reload a save from about an hour earlier, before that part of the quest, and that's where I quit playing for the night. I'll pick it back up tomorrow and hope going through it again fixes it. If it doesn't, I've got to figure out how to get the quest accomplished without losing more progress. I wanted to save her and see more of her storyline. That's why I didn't want to just shrug and leave it broken. I'm not even ten hours into the game, and I'm already running into glitches. This isn't the only one I've run into, either. It's just one of the worst so far. Another thing that annoyed me happened right outside the starting town. There's a dude speaking Italian or Latin or whatever who thinks you're the devil or some shit. I ended up sitting down to play dice with him, and the first three times I tried, I kept getting attacked by bandits in the middle of the game. Now, maybe that's by design. Maybe it's just part of the living world they've built around it. I can understand that. I'm not calling that one a confirmed glitch. But I was having a hard time fighting them this early in the game, so I had to go do other stuff and come back later, hoping I wouldn't hit the same pattern again. There's been a lot of little stuff that's pissed me off, but overall, it's a great game. I still want to keep playing. I just wish I wasn't already losing time to a quest acting like this. One thing I can say is that, for the first time, I fully understand the dice game. I'm going to write a guide here in a little bit. I'm posting another round of the Yakuza guides I've been working on, and then I'll post a detailed dice guide now that the rules have finally clicked for me.
