Lost Judgment: Drone Racing, all five leagues, builds, and time trials
Drone racing moves to Ijincho in Lost Judgment. There are five leagues, ten course records, and 162 required parts on the completion checklist. New parts unlock as you race, while the master blueprints come from shops and prize exchanges. There are no drone QR codes to hunt down.
Unlocking drone racing
In Chapter 3, after The Falling Man and your return to Yokohama 99, head to the soccer field on West Carriage Highway beside MIRAI Batting Center. Talk to the man watching the drones, then the receptionist, to begin Let the Drones Fly! Finish the introductory Test Flight to unlock racing.
The receptionist handles Grand Prix, Single Race, and Test Flight. The Drone Lab is around the left side of the kiosk, where you develop parts and change your setup.
For full TownGo completion:
- Enter a race.
- Finish first overall in Beginner, Amateur, Regular, Expert, and Champion.
- Finish first in every individual race during a Champion League run.
- Develop all 162 required parts. The earlier milestones are 1 and 50 different parts.
- Exceed 100 km/h.
- Beat all ten course time limits.
Drone Conqueror is the TownGo mission for winning all ten Champion races in one league run. Finishing first overall on points will not complete it if you lost an individual race. Aim for the perfect run while you are here; it also covers The Aviator trophy or achievement.
League races
Course numbers below correspond to the ten-course list in the next section.
- Beginner: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
- Amateur: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.
- Regular: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
- Expert: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.
- Champion: all ten, in order.
The first four leagues have five races each. Champion has ten. Finish first overall to unlock the next league. You can leave between races to save or change parts, then resume the same Grand Prix.
Time-trial targets
These are full-race targets, not single-lap times. Finish below each listed time.
1. Isezaki Road: 1:45.
2. Northern River: 1:40.
3. China & Park: 1:25.
4. The Middle Station: 2:00.
5. High School: 1:15.
6. Isezaki Road (Reverse): 1:45.
7. Northern River (Reverse): 1:40.
8. China & Park (Reverse): 1:25.
9. The Middle Station (Reverse): 2:00.
10. High School (Reverse): 1:15.
You can clear these records in Test Flight without opponents, or use Single Race for easier opponents than Champion League. There is no need to replay an entire Grand Prix just to improve one time.
How the parts work
Your frame sets the capacity limit and durability. The other four parts use that capacity: the motor and propeller affect speed and handling, the turbo controls your boost, and the ESC adjusts the build further. Part cost means capacity used, not the price in yen.
Keep the motor, propeller, turbo, and ESC within the frame’s limit. Colors in the same frame family have the same performance, so choose whichever paint you have while racing. You will need every color later for parts completion.
Champion League build
Equip:
- Any SMZ Chariot frame.
- Modded Thunder God Motor.
- Modded Wind God Propeller.
- Modded God Speed Turbo.
- Modded Akashic ESC.
The frame has 300 capacity and 80 durability. The motor, propeller, turbo, and ESC use 75 + 75 + 50 + 100, filling all 300 capacity. This is a fast setup with little room for crashes, so learn the school turns before taking it into Champion.
Development prices and materials:
- SMZ Chariot: ¥100,000; Top Shelf Screw ×3, High-grade Plastic ×1, the matching paint ×1, Master Frame Blueprints ×1.
- Modded Thunder God Motor: ¥100,000; Strong Magnet ×2, Sturdy Coil ×2, High-end Wire ×4, Master Motor Blueprints ×1.
- Modded Wind God Propeller: ¥100,000; Top Shelf Screw ×2, High-grade Plastic ×2, Clean Electrical Wire ×2, Master Propeller Blueprints ×1.
- Modded God Speed Turbo: ¥75,000; Precise Circuit ×4, High-end Wire ×3, Refined Iron ×3, Master Turbo Blueprints ×1.
- Modded Akashic ESC: ¥100,000 and Master ESC Blueprints ×1.
That is ¥475,000 in development fees before materials and blueprint purchases.
Blueprint sources:
- Master Frame: General Goods Cart, ¥100,000 each; Benten Pawn also sells one copy.
- Master Motor: Heaven’s Door casino, 30,000 chips. Unlock the casino through School Stories first.
- Master Propeller: General Goods Cart, ¥200,000.
- Master Turbo: Ebisu Pawn in Kamurocho, ¥200,000.
- Master ESC: Onodera’s Wares, 1,000 SP.
Finish Expert League to open up the parts needed for this setup. You still need to obtain the master blueprints and pay the development costs. Until then, upgrade as new parts appear in the lab.
The Detective Essentials Pack adds the optional Sky Spider frame. No DLC is needed for the builds or completion targets in this guide.
Builds for earlier leagues
Check the lab between races and assemble each of these upgrades once its parts appear. You can skip a step if your current drone is still winning. There is no need to buy a new color just to race.
Starter, 100 capacity:
Kaito’s Cherished Pigeon + SMZ: S Motor + SMZ: H Propeller + SMZ: Standard Turbo + SMZ: ESC. Capacity used: 89/100.
Beginner upgrades, 140 capacity:
A Mako Mods color frame + SMZ: S2 Motor + SMZ: H2 Propeller + SMZ: Super Turbo Mk3 + SMZ: Swift ESC. Capacity used: 116/140. The Mk3 turbo uses 16 capacity.
Next upgrade, 175 capacity:
An S-ONE color frame + Super S Motor + Mako Mods: H Propeller + Mako Mods: Standard Turbo + Mako Mods: ESC. Capacity used: 145/175.
Mid-league upgrade, 200 capacity:
A Mako Mods Alloy frame + Mako Mods: S3 Motor + Hyper Propeller H + Mako Mods: Hyper Turbo Mk3 + Mako Mods: Agile ESC. Capacity used: 181/200.
Late-league upgrade, 250 capacity:
An S-ONE Adamant frame + S-ONE: S2 Motor + S-ONE: H2 Propeller + S-ONE: Mega Turbo Mk3 + Akashic ESC. Capacity used: 239/250. Adamant has 200 durability compared with the Chariot’s 80, which gives you more room for mistakes while learning the school course.
After Expert, switch to the 300-capacity build above. If the school course keeps destroying your drone, try this tougher setup:
S-ONE Adamant frame + Modded Thunder God Motor + Modded Wind God Propeller + Low-Cost Turbo + Akashic ESC. Capacity used: 75 + 75 + 15 + 85 = 250/250, with 200 durability.
Use the regular Akashic ESC here, not the Modded version. This setup gives you more protection while you learn the indoor turns, at the cost of some speed and turbo strength.
Course routes
Blue panels give a speed boost, gold panels give a stronger boost, and green panels repair your drone. Combine manual turbo with a gold boost on a clear straight. You can cut across the suggested racing line, but red barriers still block routes the game will not allow.
Isezaki Road:
Cut the broad corners around the river instead of tracing the center of the marked route. Set up your turn before arriving at the corner so the next straight starts with the drone facing forward.
Northern River:
Watch the height changes around the bridges. Take the golden boost near the river, even though it sits off the main line. Where the course allows it, hold a flatter path through the climbs and dives.
China & Park:
On the forward route, going above the hanging golden dragon gives access to useful boosts and repairs. In Hamakita Park, come back down for the low boost placements.
The Middle Station:
Expect tight direction changes around the station and Bar District. Learn the early descent into the underground section. The Jinnai Road boost sequence is a good place to link track boosts with manual turbo.
High School:
Bank hard left into the second-floor corridor, take the tight stairs to the third floor, then head outside and through the gym’s upper window. Drop down, leave through the gym door, and return to the courtyard. Learn these turns without turbo first. Use the repair panels and save your boost for corridors where you can see the exit.
Isezaki Road (Reverse):
The reverse route changes the pad placements and adds moving boost panels. Aim for where a moving panel will be when you reach it.
Northern River (Reverse):
Take boosts close to your racing line. Once you reach boosted speed, skip panels that require a large detour.
China & Park (Reverse):
The late boosts are low near the dragon, below the shortcut used on the forward route. Keep enough height to avoid pedestrians while collecting the ground-level boosts.
The Middle Station (Reverse):
The low boost near Survive sits beside a blocked corner. Follow the street around the Bar District barriers.
High School (Reverse):
Practice the reverse route separately to learn its turns and braking points. Save turbo for clear corridors and slow down before the staircases.
Winning every Champion race
Save before starting Champion League. After each first-place finish, leave the race menu and make another manual save. When you return to the receptionist, resume the competition from the next race.
If a race is going badly, use Restart while it is still in progress. On PlayStation, open that option with the touchpad; on Xbox, use the View button. If you have already accepted a bad result, reload the save from before that race. Do not overwrite your last first-place save.
Race at night if you can. The illuminated panels are easier to spot and there are fewer pedestrians, especially at the school.
For the over-100-km/h objective, use the Champion build, line up a clear straight, pass through a gold boost, and activate turbo. Watch your speed rather than trying it in a tight corner.
Developing the 162 parts
The required 162 parts consist of:
- 96 frame variants: six frame families with sixteen paint variants each.
- 19 motors.
- 19 propellers.
- 14 turbos.
- 14 ESCs.
The starting equipment does not need to be developed. The four novelty frames unlocked after Champion League are outside this required list: Decked-out Drone, Doro-nyan, Kaito’s Lifelike Pigeon, and UFO.
The accompanying 162-part checklist lists each name and recipe. Develop one of every required part, including each color variant.
Useful material farming:
- Abundant Oil: Aircelios Mission 7, or Robotics matches against The Algorhythms, Robozaemon, and Ishii and His Merry Friends.
- Clear Resin: Robotics matches against Team BOB, SAL Sotenbori, Meiga College, or Sasaki Technical College Second Robotics Club. Aircelios Mission 5 is another option.
- Refined Iron: General Goods Cart for ¥7,800 each, or Robotics matches against Yappi LOVE.
- Most other parts can be bought from the General Goods Cart, pawnshops, Coming Boon, Deco Rush, Iyama’s shop, and Onodera.
Check your inventory before buying materials. Developing every part is expensive; getting the Dice & Cube Free Pass first gives you a repeatable way to earn the money.
