Lost Judgment: School Stories unlocks and completion guide
School Stories starts in Chapter 2 with Amasawa and the Mystery Research Club. The main story requires the introductory dance, then leaves you to continue the school investigations when you want.
There are ten investigations:
1. Mystery Research Club.
2. Dance Club.
3. Robotics Club.
4. Boxing Gym.
5. Biker Gang.
6. Photography Club.
7. Skateboarding.
8. eSports Club.
9. Casino.
10. Girls' Bar.
Finish the other nine investigations to unlock the Professor finale at the MRC. Robot-part collection, skating records, and first-round boxing knockouts can wait until afterwards.
The School Diary tracks investigation progress. TownGo has the score records and collection requirements. Completing all School Stories earns High School Drama, and completing every School mission earns TownGo Senior. TownGo Master also requires the Shop and City lists.
You can finish these investigations and School missions in Premium Adventure. None is permanently missable.
Unlock requirements
Yagami has four Leadership stats: Teamwork, Appeal, Focus, and Guts. Each runs from level 1 to level 5. Select an investigation in the School Diary to see the current objective, its requirements, and the stats that activity raises.
The main order is Dance, Robotics, Boxing, then Biker Gang. The smaller investigations open as you progress and raise your stats. When Amasawa texts about a new investigation, go to the MRC for her briefing.
- Dance begins in Chapter 2. Its third song requires Appeal 3. The final section requires Appeal 5 and Chapter 8.
- Robotics follows 50% Dance progress, after the second competition. Get Amasawa's message and visit the fourth-floor club. Its later acts require Chapters 5 and 8.
- Boxing requires Focus 2 and the relevant School Stories progress. Later sections require Chapters 5 and 8.
- Biker Gang requires Guts 2. Begin at night, with the first night opportunity in Chapter 3. The Ghost section needs Guts 4 and Chapter 5; the final faction requires Chapter 9.
- Skateboarding opens around Teamwork 3, through the graffiti investigation outside Seiryo.
- Girls' Bar requires Appeal 4 and access to the Detector used in Miu's case. You can start this from Chapter 4 onwards.
- Get Robotics to roughly 50% and keep raising Leadership to unlock Casino. Guides disagree about the exact stat requirement, with both Teamwork and Focus mentioned. Continue the other clubs if Amasawa's message has not arrived.
- Photography is a later unlock tied to Leadership and club progress. If it has not appeared, advance Robotics through 50% and continue raising Teamwork/Guts. Guides disagree about the exact combination needed to unlock it.
- eSports can open early, but guides disagree about the exact requirements. Continue Dance and Robotics until Amasawa sends the message.
- The MRC finale requires the other nine investigations completed. Start the case review during daytime, not evening or night. Because Biker Gang requires Chapter 9, the full School Stories investigation cannot finish before then.
Raising Leadership
Dance raises Teamwork and Appeal. Robotics raises Teamwork and Focus. Boxing raises Focus and Guts, while Biker Gang raises Guts and Appeal. Skateboarding and Girls' Bar raise Appeal, eSports and Photography raise Focus, and Casino raises Guts. You can check these in the School Diary.
If a club needs a higher Leadership stat, work on another investigation. Normal story progress should raise the stats you need. Replays are useful for TownGo records, robot materials, and improving your boxing stats.
If the next objective will not start:
1. Read the selected club's School Diary objective.
2. Check the main-story chapter and any stated Leadership requirement.
3. Finish the outstanding conversation at the MRC, cafeteria, roof, or marked city location.
4. Leave the club room and return. Several Robotics, Boxing, and Girls' Bar scenes need a fresh entry.
5. Check the time. Biker races are at night; the final MRC review needs daytime.
6. Continue another unfinished investigation if the current entry says to investigate elsewhere.
TownGo School requirements
- MRC: ten investigation files, covering the nine branches and the Professor.
- Dance: four song-score records.
- Robotics: the full base-game parts list and over 60% occupancy against every one of 20 teams, including optional practice opponents.
- Boxing: first-round knockouts against all 21 listed opponents. The two versions of Chizuru are separate entries.
- Biker Gang: the tutorial race, all sixteen faction races, and all 32 purchasable base-game custom parts.
- Photography: all three assignments.
- Casino: password, access, and the Hayakawa conclusion.
- Girls' Bar: three darts wins against each of four women, played at Girl's Bite.
- Skateboarding: five park records and twelve race time limits.
- eSports: the four club opponents, sixteen match wins, four no-damage match wins, and a KO within fifteen seconds. Earlier win/time milestones complete along the way.
The major investigation trophies are Hop, Step, Rabbits for Dance; Revenge of the Nerds for Robotics; Everybody Can Change for Boxing; Born to Ride for Biker Gang; and High School Drama for the Professor. Yagami Pro Skater requires first place on the final skateboard race course, not merely the end of the skating investigation.
School Stories Expansion Pack
The ten investigations are in the base game. You do not need to buy the School Stories Expansion Pack to investigate the clubs or earn their original completion trophies.
That pack adds the Maxinator motorcycle and Urban practice course, the MB5000/SUPREMACY robot body, the Special dance textbook and School dance outfit, Kaito/Sugiura/Higashi as boxing sparring partners, and Boxer Style for street combat. These extras are not additions to the original 21 boxing knockout targets or the 32 base-game bike-part requirement.
The Hover Drive skateboard and extra skate parks belong to Detective Essentials, not the School Stories Expansion Pack. Emily is the base-game romance connected to Girl's Bite; the extra romance characters are also separate DLC content. The Kaito Files has its own story and no role in completing these investigations.
