Lost Judgment: Side Cases, Dastardly Detective through Amon
This finishes the 42-case base-game checklist. The Dastardly Detective cases form a sequence. If the next search produces nothing useful, finish the previous case, advance the main story if necessary, and check the required time of day.
21. Dastardly Detective: Introduction
This is the Chapter 4 Detector tutorial. Finish it to receive the device and the “noise” Buzz Researcher keyword. Most of the following cases begin by filtering that word again after the previous case closes.
22. The Wandering Bug
Search “noise” around Yokohama 99 and Isezaki Road. Track the signal to the blonde woman in a red top walking around the area. Examine her with the Detector, then meet her near the club in the Girl's Bite area to confront the person who gave her the bugged bag.
23. Grasping Attention
The next “noise” search points to Sasaki Arcade. Scan the blue penguin in the UFO Catcher. You need to get the toy out before confronting the culprit.
If you keep failing, speak to the attendant. There is a purchase option for the case toy for ¥10,000 as well as the option to reset it. Otherwise, work on tipping and rolling the awkwardly shaped penguin toward the exit rather than trying to suspend it by its smooth middle. Defeat the culprit afterward.
24. Before the Torch Burns Out
Search near Hello Work/Yokohama 99. If the Detector seems to point at nothing useful on the pavement, look up: the first target is a hovering drone. Track the next signal to the alley behind the building east of Girl's Bite, confront the old man, and complete the chase.
25. The Eavesdropping Wallet
Continue into Chapter 5 and filter “noise” again. The wallet is beside the parking-payment machine in the lot near Girl's Bite on East Central Street. Scan and collect it, then call Ranpo to follow its scent to the owner.
26. Seiryo High in Danger / Target: Seiryo High
The school search becomes available after the wallet case, during the later story progression. Do it during the day or evening when the students and relevant club members are available.
The five devices are:
- Gymnasium: the electrical/power-box area near the basketball players and entrance side.
- Dance Club: boxes on the cabinet along the room's south wall.
- Cafeteria: the Lucky Soda vending-machine area.
- Second-floor west hallway: the lower locker at the end of the corridor. Pick it open when prompted.
- MRC room: the ceiling cable tray above the central area.
Use the Detector on the objects, not just Observation Mode. After finding the MRC device, explain that somebody is watching the club and has access through a master key. Follow Amasawa's deduction, confront the custodian, and win the fight.
27. From the Pit of Despair
The next signal is at the lower riverside path by the west end of Tsurukame Bridge. Scan the manhole. When the woman emerges, scan her pocket/midsection to find the device she has been carrying. There isn't a sewer dungeon you need to search.
28. The Secret Ingredient
After the previous case and the necessary story progression, filter “noise” around The Bee. Climb the stairs on the south side and scan the ramen bowl outside the door.
Wait for the person collecting it, then tail him. Give him room at the start because he doubles back. The route goes through the courthouse/station area and ends near the smoking spot. Win the fight there to finish the case.
29. The Final Night Flight
This one changes the search term. You need “fleeing overnight,” at night in Ijincho, after The Secret Ingredient. Check the Bar District/Fukutokucho area for the keyword and search it. If you're trying at noon with “noise” selected, you aren't following the final lead.
Meet the family near Fukutoku Park. Scan the small white power strip among their belongings. Defeat the people who arrive. Refill health before starting if necessary because the next case begins immediately.
30. Closing the Case
Use Ranpo on the cigarette left behind. Follow him to the van/garage near Jinnai Station and confront the person behind the surveillance business. Defeat him to close the entire chain. The final payout is ¥200,000 and 20,000 SP.
31. Squirrels Just Wanna Have Fun
In Chapter 5, once Yagami is investigating without Kaito accompanying him, approach Futaba outside Seiryo High. Examine the squirrel, recognize that it is listening, and use the Noise Amp on the nearby light fixture.
This gives the Superstitious Eater's Guide and makes the other squirrel reward puzzles usable. Seeing a painted squirrel earlier and having it marked on the map is not the same as collecting its reward.
32. Big Squirrels Don't Cry
Collect the other 55 squirrel rewards, then visit the new Side Case marker in Fukutoku Park. Examine the squirrel on the concrete mound and use the Noise Amp toward the can on top. Finish the scene for the 56th location and Bad Fur Day.
For a stuck 55/56, first check that every earlier chain ended with its reward. A multi-picture chain is one location, not several completed entries. Also leave any story section that temporarily restricts side content before expecting the concluding marker.
33. Curse of the Amasawa Family Heirloom
Amasawa contacts Yagami during Chapter 6. Meet her in the MRC room and follow the investigation of the supposedly cursed lucky cat. This is a longer accompanied sequence, so finish it before expecting to resume unrelated activities freely.
Go to Plage, then the Ijincho pawnshop. After the fire, examine the spilled fuel and plastic bottle farther along the pavement. Play the darts and batting sections with Amasawa. When you need to approach the watcher outside the batting center, put on a disguise first.
Win the confrontation, then examine the cat's neck seam and eyes. Complete the remaining questions to end the case. Winning an elaborate high-score challenge in the two minigames isn't the purpose of this investigation.
34. My First Errand
Accept the request at Yokohama 99 when it becomes available in the finale, then meet the father upstairs in Wette Kitchen. Tail his son with Kaito.
During the ordinary part, use cover and let the child get ahead. During the cutout-sign part, move only while he is looking away. When the troublemakers arrive, push the expression control to its strongest glare. Finish the return conversation. The reward is Memoirs of an Eagle, needed to unlock Raptorial Spirit.
The three Girl's Bite cases
These begin while raising the individual women's friendship meters during the Girls' Bar School Story. Reach a lock in a meter, leave and return for its event, then resume raising it to the next lock. Keep track by title because some published lists swap the middle two case numbers.
Between Blood and Booze, Haruko
Her first event introduces her strained relationship with her father. At the later event, he appears in the bar. Keep the conversation going about his business trip, explain Haruko's altered voice with the bad-cold response, and tell him he must be proud of his daughter. Finish the scene instead of immediately buying another drink and assuming the lock cleared itself.
Big Shame Hunter, Miu
At the second major event, investigate the leaked information about her private life. Take her outside and scan her bag, then her shoes. Set the trap for the culprit and complete the chase. The investigation is about the tracking device, not finding a better answer to an ordinary bar conversation.
Random Fandom, Ayaha
After her second meter lock, find her near Jinnai Station. A child takes the item she drops. Catch him and return it. Visit Girl's Bite again for the Captain Cop conversation and final pose scene. The return to the bar is part of completion.
38. Step by Step, Emily
Finish the Girl's Bite School Story first. Afterward, Emily is available near the dartboard for the separate girlfriend progression. Raise intimacy, exchange contact details, and reach level 2. Leave the bar and allow the next message to trigger. Changing areas or taking a taxi is a useful way to progress the waiting period.
Use food as the reason to invite her out and meet at Jinnai Station. The first date goes to Plage. During the conversation, examine the available details and choose considerate responses. Good answers improve the date's liveliness and intimacy gains; a poor answer doesn't permanently lock you out. Walk her back to the bar and finish the encounter outside.
39. Broken Barriers
Raise Emily to intimacy level 3 and respond to her next invitation. Meet at the same station spot, continue through the Chinese-food date, and walk her back to Girl's Bite. Finish the confrontation with the people who know her from school.
40. We Mend, We Grow
Raise intimacy to level 4, be in Ijincho at night, and respond when she calls. Meet her at Jinnai Station and finish the date/confession scene. Reaching this event awards the relationship trophy. Finish the whole scene rather than leaving its final conversation pending, since the Side Case also needs to close.
41. Takayuki Yagami: Evil Detective?
Finish the whole School Stories investigation, then walk outside Yagami Detective Agency in Kamurocho. Investigate the rumors through Buzz Researcher. Follow “Yagami” and the newly supplied follow-up terms to the Champion District.
When the accusers corner you, put on a disguise to leave. Continue at Bar Tender, then return to the office. Examine the curry/food evidence and use Ranpo outside to find the culprits. Defeat them. If this case isn't available, check the overall Mystery Research Club ending, not just whether your favorite four clubs are finished.
42. A Final Request: Reprise
Complete the other 41 base cases. Accept “It's time” from the Yokohama 99 board and meet the request at the Hamakita Park fountain. Although Shin Amon appears first, the actual opponent is Juzo Amon.
Bring upgraded health and attack, proper combat equipment, healing, EX-restoring items, and ingredients for useful extracts. The story sends you to Seiryo's rooftop for the fight. Your phone/inventory remains available, unlike the original Judgment Amon encounter.
Juzo starts with ordinary attacks, then adds projectiles, explosive robots, an area blast, and attacks that let him recover health. Staying down or letting him disengage for too long can undo your damage. Recover quickly, dodge sideways past the projectiles, and don't remain beside him when he prepares the ground blast.
Repeated EX Actions lose effectiveness. Switch between different EX Actions. Warrior's Onslaught is a powerful alternative: drink it, use its grab-button attack sequence, and replenish it as needed. Dodge his explosions before resuming the extract attacks.
Winning completes the base case list and rewards the Secret Command Master System cartridge, along with the case payout. Play the cartridge afterward to register it in the Master System TownGo list.
