# Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii: All 50 Bond Chats, Drink Links and Crew Upgrades The Bond Chats are worth doing before the harder pirate battles. They raise five story crewmates’ level caps and improve their squad-leader traits, while Noah gets a stronger support skill. There are **50 chats and seven Drink Links**: 30 chats and three Drink Links for Noah, then five chats and one Drink Link each for Jason, Masaru, Saejima, and the Minami/Nishida pair. Minami and Nishida share their conversations, but both receive the upgrade. This covers the locations and rewards without spoiling the conversations themselves. Later crew names are included. ## How to start and finish a bond Bond Chats open in Chapter 2 after you reach Honolulu. Find the pink speech-bubble/heart markers, approach, and use the conversation prompt. Let the conversation finish. A fight or another event can interrupt it; return to the same spot and start it again if it did not register. Check **Goro Pirates → Bonds** for each character’s completed chats and location hints for the missing ones. The last chat is only the first part of finishing a bond. You still need the Drink Link afterward. - **Noah:** return to the counter in Revolve after 10, 20 and 30 different chats. Watch all three Drink Links. - **Everyone else:** finish that character’s five chats, then enter the Goromaru’s downstairs Common Room/Crew Quarters. Use the heart marker at the bar or kitchen area to drink with them. You can collect chats before watching a pending Drink Link, then catch up on the scenes. Replaying the same chat does not replace finding another one. ## When the chats become available - **Noah, Jason and Masaru:** Chapter 2. Their full sets open gradually with story progress. - **Minami and Nishida:** after they join in Chapter 3. - **Saejima:** after he joins in Chapter 4. For Noah, keep progressing through the Street Surfer introduction, Kei’s Aloha Links introduction and the opening of western Honolulu. The last hotel conversation comes later, around the ship-upgrade preparation and the objective to return to Rich Island. The story’s $10,000 and 15-crewmate requirement is part of that progression. It is not a separate payment for Noah’s chat. All 30 can be finished before Chapter 2 ends. A few chats also depend on time of day. Noah’s **Trying New Things**, **Manners or Moxie** and **Entrepreneurial Training** are daytime/evening conversations. If a marker is missing at night, check its Bonds entry and come back when the story or available time-change option lets you. ## Noah: all 30 locations The numbers below follow Noah’s chat list, so you can compare them with the menu. They are not a required collection order. 1. **Chicken Lover:** the empty lot with the chickens behind Shinobi Sushi, in the northeastern part of Little Japan near Fuji Street. 2. **How to Appreciate Flowers:** southern Candle Street, near Bar Polaris. 3. **Books Are for Grownups:** Little Japan’s far northeastern street corner, near Makani Avenue and the eastern end of Fuji Street. 4. **Trying New Things:** the beach near the boundary between West and East Aloha Beach. This is the early introductory chat. Visit during the day or evening. 5. **The Smell of Home:** outside Shinobi Sushi. 6. **Partners in Crime:** outside Full Sky Tianpin Chinese Desserts in Chinatown. 7. **A New Way to Play:** beside Open Road Shogi, behind the Little Japan shrine. 8. **Don’t Get Lost!:** Anaconda Shopping Center, second floor, around the central stairs and snake statue. 9. **Passion and Fruit:** inside Chinatown’s covered Golden Grace produce market. 10. **Tragic Backstory:** outside Night Marchers in the Cultural District. 11. **Just the Right Heat:** the southern entrance to Worldwide Market Village, off Aloha Street. 12. **Stairway to Adulthood:** Anaconda Harbor Park, on the west side of the pond. 13. **Complex Movies:** Aloha Beach, directly south of the Aloha Beachfront drop-off taxi point. 14. **A Discerning Man:** western Twilight Drive, near Sushi Bar Limbo. 15. **Manners or Moxie:** the beach-volleyball area south of Kana’s Coconut Juice Stand. Day or evening. 16. **Entrepreneurial Training:** beside Tony’s Lemonade Stand on Ayame Street in Little Japan. Day or evening. 17. **Noah’s Art:** the Art Walls, near the large bird mural in the northeastern part of that mural area. 18. **When You Gotta Go:** inside Worldwide Market Village, near the toilets. 19. **Dream Cars:** the Aloha Street/River Street junction, just east of Aloha Bridge. 20. **A Future Star?:** eastern Harbor Street, at the Harbor Park side of the road. 21. **Spooked:** outside Hyper Ecstasy. 22. **Our Reliable Captain:** beside the arcade inside Anaconda Shopping Center. 23. **Colorful Food:** near Fancy Cookies at the western side of Crystal Aloha Resort. 24. **Treasure at the End of the Rainbow:** the small cape projecting from East Aloha Beach. 25. **Mysterious Souvenirs:** Waikiki Street near Momo Street and Seaworthy Treasures. 26. **Be Careful Out There:** out in the water off Aloha Beach, near the division between the west and east beach areas. Swim to the marker; this is on the Honolulu map, not a Goromaru sailing destination. 27. **I’ve Always Wanted to Do That:** Anaconda Shopping Center’s second floor, outside PC Shop Sujigami in the northeastern section. 28. **What’s in a Shrine?:** in front of the Little Japan shrine on Fuji Street. 29. **A Sweet Suite:** the entrance to Nirvana Hotel in northwestern Honolulu. This is the later Chapter 2 story-gated chat. 30. **Employee Benefits:** the small park/garden area by Crystal Aloha Resort, northeast of its main beachfront section. **Stuck at 29/30?** Check whether the missing entry is A Sweet Suite. Finish the ship preparations and advance to the return-to-Rich-Island stage, then check the hotel again. Walking every street repeatedly will not make a story-locked conversation appear. ## A practical Honolulu route Start with the Little Japan cluster: **7, 28, 5, 1, 3 and 16**. You are close to Revolve whenever a Drink Link becomes available. Move through Waikiki and the beach: **25, 18, 11, 19, 23, 30, 15, 4, 26, 13 and 24**. Do the water chat while you are already on the sand, and collect the daytime conversations before leaving that side of the city. Once western Honolulu is open, sweep the mall and harbor: **8, 27, 22, 20 and 12**. Finish with the Cultural District and Chinatown: **21, 14, 10, 17, 2, 6, 9 and 29**. Skip any currently locked marker and use the Bonds menu to track the gap. This route groups nearby stops; it does not require all 30 to be available at once. Take the three trips to Revolve when convenient, and make sure the final scene is watched before calling Noah’s bond complete. ## Jason: five lighthouse chats 1. **Saint Nick:** East Hawaii Lighthouse. 2. **Time for a Drink:** Central Rich Lighthouse. 3. **A Handy Man:** West Rich Lighthouse. 4. **Dreams from the Past:** West Madlantis Lighthouse. 5. **What’s Really Precious:** West Nele Lighthouse. Visit the safe-water area beside each lighthouse and use its pink chat marker. Some of Jason’s later chats wait until the Goromaru is upgraded and the first Devil Flags storyline is underway. If you cannot see all five early in Chapter 2, continue that story section rather than assuming the location is wrong. After 5/5, drink with Jason downstairs on the Goromaru. ## Masaru: five lighthouse chats 1. **A Beefy Chef:** East Madlantis Lighthouse. 2. **Fried Seagull:** East Hawaii Lighthouse. 3. **Evolution:** South Nele Lighthouse. 4. **Crime and Punishment:** South Rich Lighthouse. 5. **Rare Delicacies:** East Rich Lighthouse. These also open during Chapter 2, with the full set available as the upgraded-ship/Devil Flags portion progresses. After 5/5, find Masaru in the downstairs kitchen/bar area and complete his Drink Link. ## Minami and Nishida: five shared lighthouse chats 1. **Voice of an Angel:** West Hawaii Lighthouse. 2. **Taste of Old Times:** West Madlantis Lighthouse. 3. **Drive Carefully:** Central Madlantis Lighthouse. 4. **A Familiar Design:** East Nele Lighthouse. 5. **Fishing Trip:** Central Hawaii Lighthouse. Start after they join in Chapter 3. Their five shared chats unlock one shared Drink Link downstairs on the Goromaru. You do not need five more conversations for Nishida. ## Saejima: five lighthouse chats 1. **Brothers:** South Madlantis Lighthouse. 2. **A Beautiful Fin:** West Hawaii Lighthouse. 3. **Preserving Memories:** East Madlantis Lighthouse. 4. **Batting Buddies:** South Hawaii Lighthouse. 5. **Fight for the Mic:** Central Nele Lighthouse. These become available after Saejima joins in Chapter 4. Complete all five and drink with him in the Goromaru’s Common Room. ## Clear the sea chats by region If all four sea-chat groups are available, the 20 conversations occupy **16 lighthouse stops**. Four lighthouses hold two conversations, so check for the second marker before sailing away. - **Rich waters:** Central Rich for Jason; West Rich for Jason; South Rich and East Rich for Masaru. - **Hawaii waters:** East Hawaii for Jason and Masaru; West Hawaii for Minami/Nishida and Saejima; Central Hawaii for Minami/Nishida; South Hawaii for Saejima. - **Madlantis waters:** West Madlantis for Jason and Minami/Nishida; East Madlantis for Masaru and Saejima; Central Madlantis for Minami/Nishida; South Madlantis for Saejima. - **Nele waters:** West Nele for Jason; South Nele for Masaru; East Nele for Minami/Nishida; Central Nele for Saejima. There is no need to postpone Jason and Masaru until Chapter 4 just to do one giant sweep. Finish their bonds earlier for the stronger crew, then revisit the relevant lighthouses when the later recruits arrive. ## What the finished bonds improve **Noah: Rallying Cry Bonded** His support growth cap rises from three stars to four. Rallying Cry Bonded gradually heals all allies and reduces incoming enemy damage. Put him in the support lineup to use that skill. **Jason: Hunter’s Knowledge Bonded** His squad-leader trait gives a large Attack and Defense boost and adds Gun Resistance. His crew rarity rises from Gold to Platinum, taking his level cap from 40 to 50. **Masaru: Marine Cuisine Bonded** His squad-leader trait gives a large Attack boost and adds Poison Resistance. Gold becomes Platinum, and the cap rises from 40 to 50. **Saejima: Veteran Bonded** His squad-leader trait gives a large Attack and Defense boost and adds Stun Resistance. Gold becomes Platinum, and the cap rises from 40 to 50. **Minami: Martial Soul Bonded** His squad-leader trait gives a large Attack boost and adds Burn Resistance. Gold becomes Platinum, and the cap rises from 40 to 50. **Nishida: Indomitable Will Bonded** His squad-leader trait gives a large Health Recovery boost and adds Shock Resistance. Gold becomes Platinum, and the cap rises from 40 to 50. These are level-cap increases, not a promise that every character instantly becomes level 50. Previously accumulated experience carries over, so a crewmate with enough stored experience may jump several levels immediately. Remember to assign a character as a squad leader if you want their squad-leader trait to help that squad. Putting all five somewhere in the boarding roster does not activate five leader bonuses. Their separate First Mate options are also useful when deciding your lineup: - Jason, **Strait Racer:** one extra fuel stock. - Masaru, **Master of Stealth:** one extra smoke-screen use. - Saejima, **Sink King:** increased damage against enemy sterns. - Minami, **Sink King Kiwami:** a stronger stern-damage bonus. - Nishida, **First-Rate Mechanic Kiwami:** two extra repair uses. Those are their First Mate traits, not five additional rewards newly granted by finishing the bonds. Choose the First Mate for the naval benefit you need, then choose your squad leaders for boarding combat. ## Drink Link choices The choices change the conversation’s tone. You do not need to follow a perfect-answer test to receive the bond upgrade. If you want the friendly responses, these fit: - **Noah, first Drink Link:** “The beach in Honolulu,” then “Damn right we are, matey!” - **Noah, second:** “Say it to him straight,” then “Write him a letter.” - **Noah, finale:** “Ain’t weird at all.” - **Jason:** choose the Age of Discovery joke or tell him you are not falling for it, then “You been a damn fine dad.” - **Masaru:** identify the beach as somewhere people can be naked, then choose anime or the moe-moe-kyun option. - **Minami and Nishida:** either play the intimidating old boss or reassure Minami, then acknowledge how rough Nishida’s experience sounded. - **Saejima:** choose the tripe dish, then Naomi. Finish the scene even if you chose a different response. You can revisit conversations through the Memory Album at your hideout, including alternate dialogue where offered. ## Final completion check - Noah: 30 chats and all three Revolve scenes. - Jason: five chats and his shipboard scene. - Masaru: five chats and his shipboard scene. - Minami/Nishida: five shared chats and their shared shipboard scene. - Saejima: five chats and his shipboard scene. Noah’s three scenes award **Bonds Between Boys**. Watching every crew Drink Link completes **Bonds Between Men**. Check the scenes as well as the chat counters: 50/50 conversations with an unwatched Drink Link is still unfinished.
