Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii: Karaoke All right, karaoke is a smaller part of the checklist, but there are a couple of things here that are easy to mix up. Singing on the ship, getting the seven-song completion check, and getting the Midnight Desire CD are separate things. So here's how to handle all three without replaying the wrong song over and over. Where to sing Revolve Bar is on Tsubaki Street in Little Japan, Honolulu. The Chapter 2 story takes you there. Once you can move around freely, go inside and use the karaoke machine on the right side of the ground floor. The Revolve taxi stop puts you right outside. You don't need to go upstairs to the rooms. The second location is the Goromaru. Continue Chapter 2 through Julie's ship refurbishment, then use the karaoke setup in the captain's quarters when you're able to walk around aboard the ship. For Sea Shanties, play a song there. The trophy description refers to karaoke on the deck, but the interaction is accessed through the ship's karaoke setup. Singing at Revolve doesn't satisfy that location requirement. You don't need seven songs or a perfect score for this trophy. The seven base-game songs • Song of Departure -Journey to the New World- • The Sun at 36.5 C • Midnight Desire • 24-Hour Cinderella • As Long As You're Happy • Get to the Top! • The Goro Pirates Theme The first six are available when karaoke opens. The Goro Pirates Theme becomes available in Chapter 4. If you're still in Chapter 2 and can't finish the seven-song check, that's the first thing to look at. Song of Departure and The Goro Pirates Theme are different songs. One doesn't count as the other just because both involve the crew. Majima Construction Anthem is an additional DLC song from the Extra Karaoke & CD Pack. It doesn't replace one of the seven base-game songs for completion. You don't need to buy that pack to finish these checks. Scores and Reputation Get at least 85 on different base-game songs: • Two songs: 1,000 Reputation. • Five songs: 3,000 Reputation. • All seven: 10,000 Reputation. That's seven different songs, each with its own qualifying score. Seven good performances of Midnight Desire still only cover one song. Use the song menu's recorded high scores to check what you've finished, and check the challenge list after completing the last missing song. Pick Passionate when you're working on high scores. It has the fuller, harder chart and gives you room to aim for 100. Casual is useful for getting comfortable with a song, but don't use it for a perfect-score attempt. How to get the score up Watch the notes approaching the timing marker rather than watching Majima's performance. Keep your eyes far enough ahead to know which button is coming next, then press when the note reaches the marker. There are ordinary presses, holds, and repeated presses. A hold needs the button kept down for its indicated duration. A repeated-press section needs repeated inputs rather than one long hold. If a particular section keeps breaking your combo, identify which of those three instructions you're missing before restarting the entire song. GREAT is the accurate judgment. GOOD still keeps a combo going, while MISS breaks it. A run of 20 successful inputs activates the higher-scoring combo state. Keeping the sequence intact is important even when every individual note isn't perfect. For 100, you need the Passionate chart and a full run of GREAT judgments. For the completion checks, you need 85. Don't restart a recoverable attempt just because you missed one note if you're only trying to clear the checklist. If the performance itself keeps distracting you, lower the volume for a practice run and follow the visual timing. If that makes it worse, go back to using the music. The useful approach is whichever lets you repeat the timing consistently. The Midnight Desire CD The song being available in karaoke doesn't mean you already own its collectible CD for the music player. For that CD, work on the Revolve bartender's friendship. Sing successfully at Revolve, check in with him between sessions, and continue until his friendship is maxed. That's when he awards the Midnight Desire CD. Doing your entire karaoke cleanup on the Goromaru won't handle the Revolve interaction for you. I wouldn't give this a fixed number of songs because the important thing is his friendship progress. Check the actual meter and finish the reward conversation instead of assuming that a certain number of attempts automatically puts the CD in your inventory. The order I'd use Do one song aboard the Goromaru for Sea Shanties. Work on the first six scores at Revolve while building the bartender's friendship. Once Chapter 4 opens the final song, get its 85 or better, check the seven-song challenge, and make sure you collected the CD. That takes care of the location trophy, the three score milestones, and the separate collectible. After that, chasing 100s is there if you want it, but you don't have to turn every song into a perfect run just to finish this part.
