Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii: all seven Golden Balls and what to wish for All right, this is another one of those side quests where the name pretty much tells you what kind of nonsense you're getting into. Shen wants seven Golden Balls, and Majima gets to run around pulling them off signs, statues, and people with his hook. There is an actual reward choice at the end, though, and the money option isn't even the best choice if money is what you want. This covers all seven locations, how to collect them, and what each wish gives you. There are spoilers for the rewards. Before you go looking Start Chapter 3 and go through Captain Beef's conversation outside Revolve. That introduces substory 24, When You Wish Upon Some Balls. Wait for the request and its clues before hunting. The balls aren't available before the quest starts. Five are in Honolulu and two are in Madlantis. Six need the chain hook. The remaining one is a Sicko Snap prize. Getting any two earns Not Counting the Usual Ones, but finishing Shen's request takes all seven. Noah can point out that something is nearby. When you reach a location, take out the hook and look directly at the target instead of expecting an ordinary pickup on the ground. Chinese medicine shop Go into Wan Shang Tong Herbal Medicine in Chinatown, on the western side of Honolulu. Look past the counter toward the anatomy diagrams on the back wall. You're looking for the poster showing the human body, with the ball placed over the lower part of the figure. Aim the hook at the ball on the poster and collect it. You aren't buying anything from the shopkeeper. Shinobi Sushi Head to Shinobi Sushi on Sakura Street in Little Japan, in northeastern Honolulu. Stay outside and face the entrance. Look up at the ninja figures decorating the sign above the doorway. The ball is attached to one of those figures, around the crotch. Aim upward with the hook from the street. Going inside the restaurant won't help with this one. Seaside Avenue pool Go to the southern end of Seaside Avenue, near its junction with Aloha Street. The hotel pool is behind the wall on the west side, north of Pigeon Family Market and near Worldwide Market Village. Find the small opening in the wall and look through toward the pool. The target is the sunbathing man beside it. Aim through the opening and hook the ball off him. You can collect it from outside, so don't waste time trying to find a way into the pool area. Hula Avenue pawn shop Use Treasure Select Pawn on Hula Avenue in southeastern Honolulu. Check the branch name because there are several pawn shops. Enter and look for the masked wrestler mannequin displayed by the window. Move around to its side so you have a clear view, then aim at the ball on the lower part of the mannequin. Collect it with the hook. It's attached to the display, not listed among the items for sale. The man chasing sickos This clue means Kuroki at the Sicko Snap trolley stop on Aloha Street by the beach. Finish the introductory Sicko Snap substory if you haven't opened the exchange yet. Speak with him, choose the Snap Points exchange, and find the Golden Ball toward the bottom of the prize list. It costs 3,333 Snap Points. Play another route if you're short, then return and purchase it. Keep those points aside rather than spending them on other prizes first. The man above Dunghill Travel to Madlantis and find Dunghill in the bar area. Get onto the bar's rooftop, then turn and look upward toward the higher ledge and the green-walled area. The target is the man in the revealing outfit above you. Use the hook on the ball attached to him. Reaching the rooftop is only the first part; keep looking up rather than searching the floor for a collectible. The man near the Coliseum Go to the Pirates' Coliseum reception in Madlantis. Face the reception area and look off to the right, beyond the railing, toward the space between the Coliseum and gambling hall. Find the man in dirty overalls talking to a woman. Aim at him with the hook and collect the final ball. This is outside the actual battles, so you don't need to enter a match to get it. Returning to Shen After all seven, read Shen's message and follow his marker to Shipper's Wharf in Honolulu. Make a manual save before speaking to him if you want to see the different responses without committing to a reward immediately. The wishes work like this: • A normal, peaceful life: he can't grant it, and you choose again. • Endless riches: $10,000. • Eternal life: 100 Staminan X. • Sexy panties: Shen-san's Panties, which you can sell at a pawn shop for $15,000. So if you're after cash, choose the panties and sell them. That's $5,000 more than asking for money directly. If you'd rather have a supply of recovery items, take the Staminan X. The stack is a reserve, not permission to carry all 100 at once; the normal carrying limit still matters. Shen also joins your crew when you finish the substory. Getting the trophy after your second ball doesn't recruit him or finish the quest. Collect the other five, return to the wharf, and finish the conversation before crossing this one off.
