# Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii: All 11 Goro Kingdom Animals
Goro Kingdom gives you cooking ingredients, ten additional support recruits, and a reason to keep coming back to Rich Island. Here’s where every animal is, what you need to recruit them, and how feeding and rewards work.
## Before you start
Goro Kingdom opens during Chapter 1 on Rich Island. Goro and Phoenix are your first residents. In Chapter 2, the story takes you through Substory 4, The Kitten in District Five, and adds Onigiri. That unlocks the other Animal Rescue encounters, marked by white pawprints on Honolulu’s map.
For the optional rescues, bring:
- $3,000 for Sanzen.
- One Pet Food for Barkley. The regular $10 bag works.
- One Wild-Caught Sashimi for The Gourmand. Grayson sells it for $1.60.
- The Goromi clothing set for Allure. You find this in a container rather than buying it.
That’s $3,011.60 if you buy both food items, before taxi fares or food for raising affection.
## Every animal and how to recruit them
### 1. Goro, the tiger cub
No separate rescue is needed. Noah’s companion is included when Goro Kingdom opens on Rich Island.
Feed Goro alongside the other animals. He already becomes a support crewmate through the story, so his maximum-affection reward is different: speak to him after filling the gauge to receive 50 Bear Meat.
### 2. Phoenix, the chicken
Obtained during Chapter 1’s Goro Kingdom introduction on Rich Island, around the visit to Stella’s Shop. Follow the story and take Phoenix to the enclosure. You do not need to find an additional Honolulu rescue marker.
At maximum affection, Phoenix becomes a support recruit with Restorative Medicine, which restores a little health to everyone.
### 3. Onigiri, the cat
Encountered during Chapter 2 in The Kitten in District Five, on the story route toward Diamond Head. Defeat the man threatening the kitten and finish the scene.
Onigiri joins Goro Kingdom, and the other Honolulu animal rescues become available. The eventual support skill is Auto Guard, which slightly reduces incoming damage.
### 4. Allure, the cat
Find Allure on Aloha Street near Aloha Bridge, west of L&L Hawaiian Barbecue. Speak to the person beside the cat to learn why ordinary coaxing will not work.
To get the required outfit:
1. Go to LiberTea in the Cultural District, west of Anaconda Shopping Center. The Night Street taxi stop is nearby.
2. Open the silver container in LiberTea’s covered outdoor seating area.
3. Return to Revolve and use the upstairs changing area.
4. Select the Goromi clothing set and apply it.
5. Return to Allure and speak to the nearby person while wearing it.
Owning the outfit is not enough. Wear the set for the encounter.
### 5. CoCo, the chimpanzee
Look for the coconut tree beside Cream & Berry on River Street, near Aloha Bridge. Speak to the woman looking up at CoCo.
Use all three choices:
- “Shake the tree”
- “Toss a coconut”
- “Strike a cool-ass pose”
The order does not matter. Work through the remaining options until the scene finishes and CoCo comes down.
### 6. Zoomies, the Labrador
Go to the Pier taxi stop in the Harbor District, by the Shipper’s Wharf. Speak to the man trying to catch the dog.
After Zoomies runs away, follow the new marker around to the western side of the building. Interact with the dog and move the intensity meter until it says “Be gentle.” Confirm there to calm Zoomies and complete the rescue.
### 7. The Gourmand, the Labrador
Find the hungry dog on Riverside Walk, south of the Diamond Head taxi stop. Speak to the person beside him and hand over one Wild-Caught Sashimi.
The straightforward way to get it is to swim out to Grayson’s Weapons at Sea, the merchant on a raft off Aloha Beach. Buy the sashimi for $1.60, then bring it back to the rescue marker.
You can also find sashimi while catching fish by hand in the sea, but buying one avoids waiting for a random catch. Check the item name: Wild-Caught Fried Shrimp is a different item.
### 8. Turtle, the Shiba Inu
Find Turtle at the corner of Waikiki Street and Kaku Avenue, west of Crêpes for Me.
Approach the two men mistreating the dog and defeat them. Finish the conversation to send Turtle to Rich Island. No food or payment is required for this rescue.
### 9. Alarm Cluck, the chicken
Search the small residential alley between Fuji Street and Ayame Street in Little Japan. It is west of the Ayame Street taxi stop and northwest of Ahi Poke Garden.
Interrupt the angry resident threatening the chicken, win the fight, and finish the scene. Alarm Cluck then joins the kingdom.
### 10. Barkley, the Shiba Inu
Go to the north/northeastern entrance of Anaconda Shopping Center and speak to the woman beside the barking dog.
Give her Pet Food. A regular bag is enough, so there is no need to spend $150 or $500 on this recruitment step. If you have none, buy the $10 version from an ABC Store.
### 11. Sanzen, the cow
Find Sanzen and the farmer in Sunset Park, near the pavilion at the northern end of Sunset Street in Downtown Honolulu.
Pay $3,000 when offered the cow. This is the only animal rescue here with a substantial cash requirement, so keep that money aside before shopping for upgrades.
## Feeding and affection
Rescued animals move to Goro Kingdom by the Rich Island docks. Feed them there to raise their affection and receive cooking ingredients.
The three individual food tiers are:
- Pet Food: $10, a small affection increase.
- High-End Pet Food: $150, a larger increase.
- Ultimate Pet Food: $500, the strongest of these three.
ABC Stores sell the pet food tiers. Stella’s Shop is convenient for regular Pet Food when you are already on Rich Island. Ultimate Pet Food can also be bought at Wink Mini Mart on Waikiki Street.
Better food gives more ingredients per feeding. Higher affection improves the ingredients themselves. Those are separate benefits, so an expensive bag does not replace the need to build the relationship.
You cannot repeatedly feed an animal without a break. Check the feeding indicator or timer and return when the food-bowl marker is available again. Fit visits around other activities instead of standing at the enclosure waiting.
Once an animal’s affection gauge is full, interact with it again to receive its final reward. Filling the bar alone is not the last step.
## Essence of Pet Snacks
This is the group-feeding recipe. It raises affection for every animal currently in Goro Kingdom and collects their ingredient gifts together.
During Chapter 2, once you can return to Rich Island after upgrading the Goromaru, revisit the enclosure as you add animals. A conversation with Noah unlocks the recipe. If that scene has not appeared, finish the remaining Honolulu rescues and return to the kingdom.
The precise minimum animal count for the scene is not firmly established. Seven pets is the confirmed trophy requirement, not a reliable reason to stop checking the other rescues.
One batch needs:
- 3 Meat
- 5 Bugs
- 5 Fish
- 5 Produce
- 5 Eggs/Milk ingredients
Cook it at Goro Goro Kitchen, then interact with the Snack Box inside the enclosure. Having it in your inventory is not enough to feed everyone.
Snack quality affects the return:
- One star: one ingredient from each animal.
- Two stars: two ingredients from each animal.
- Three stars: three ingredients from each animal.
Higher-quality snacks also give a better affection increase. Use better ingredients and complete the cooking minigame well when you want more value from each batch.
Group snacks have a ten-minute cooldown. Their feeding allowance is separate from individual Pet Food, so you can use the Snack Box and still feed animals individually during the same visit.
## What each animal gives you
Ingredient rewards improve as affection rises. The progression is:
- Goro: Rabbit Meat, then Pheasant Meat, then Bear Meat.
- Phoenix and Alarm Cluck: Egg, Quality Egg, Golden Egg.
- Onigiri and Allure: Aweoweo, Humuhumunukunukuapua’a, Oarfish.
- Barkley, Turtle, Zoomies and The Gourmand: Flounder, Salmon, Mahi Mahi.
- CoCo: Coconut, Quality Mango, Superb Pineapple.
- Sanzen: Fresh Milk, Quality Fresh Milk, Superb Fresh Milk.
The dogs supply fish. Goro supplies meat. Keeping both kinds of animals fed helps cover different cooking categories.
## All support rewards
At maximum affection, speak to each of the ten animals other than Goro to recruit them. Their skills are:
- Barkley: Bump Up, increases everyone’s Attack.
- The Gourmand: Guard Wall, reduces incoming damage.
- Sanzen: Cure All, restores everyone’s health.
- Onigiri and Zoomies: Auto Guard, a smaller damage-reduction effect.
- Allure and Turtle: Hard Attack, a small Attack increase for everyone.
- Phoenix and Alarm Cluck: Restorative Medicine, a small group heal.
- CoCo: First Aid, a small heal for Majima.
These animals fill support slots for boarding fights. They are not additional cannon operators. You can take up to three support members, and using their skills develops them further.
Goro already has Goro’s Mighty Roar, an Attack buff for allies. His special kingdom reward is the one-time 50 Bear Meat mentioned above.
## Completion checklist
- Rescue seven animals for Making a Menagerie. The three story animals count, so four optional rescues are enough for that trophy or achievement.
- Collect all eleven to fill the kingdom and access every animal’s rewards.
- Unlock and cook Essence of Pet Snacks. It counts toward Domestic Pirate, which requires cooking all fourteen recipes.
- Max affection and speak to all ten recruitable animals for their crew unlocks.
- Speak to Goro at maximum affection for his Bear Meat reward.
For an inexpensive start, rescue Turtle and Alarm Cluck through their fights, get CoCo by exhausting the dialogue, and catch Zoomies gently. Then handle the food deliveries, Goromi outfit, and Sanzen when your inventory and cash are ready.
The useful routine is simple: rescue animals, feed them on return trips, use group snacks once unlocked, and talk to them again when their affection is full.
