LIKE A DRAGON GAIDEN: STROLL N’ PATROL SOLUTIONS
Most of Gaiden's Stroll n' Patrol jobs are quick once you know what the person is actually asking for. The ones that waste time are usually the photographs, shop-specific items, clothing combinations, and clues that send you somewhere outside the immediate marker.
This covers those jobs with the actual answers and destinations. Use Akame's Support Map to find the requester, accept the job, then do the task. An earlier photograph or minigame result doesn't necessarily count retroactively.
There are 107 Stroll n' Patrol jobs in the Activity Log. Neighborhood Hero only needs fifty. You can finish the trophy without clearing every one, but the remaining points are useful for upgrades and the full log.
THE INFORMANT'S SIX QUIZZES
The requester is upstairs above Wild Jackson. Answer correctly on the first attempt for the extra ¥10,000 on each quiz.
1. Hiratai.
2. A triangle.
3. A helmet.
4. Plum.
5. Black Champagne.
6. Momoko.
These are the six separate Challenge to the Informant jobs in order. Returning later for the next available challenge is different from repeating the same question.
HIDE-AND-SEEK, LOST PEOPLE, AND CHICKENS
The Hidden One's Challenge: look in southwest Shofukucho beside the phone booth.
The Hidden One's Revenge: search the alley behind Kukuru.
The Hidden One's Last Stand: find him in the laundromat northwest of Wanpark Clothier.
Where Is My Son?: the missing boy is southwest of Club Heavenly, wearing green. Speak to him rather than just photographing him.
How 'Bout Them Kappas: inspect the kappa on the southern river footpath, roughly across the river from the requester. This is an examination job, not a request to catch something from the water.
Chicken Chase: work upward through Yotsudera Kaikan. The first chicken is beside the requester on the first floor; the second is in the middle hallway on the second; the third is in the northeast corner of the third; the fourth is at the south end of the fourth. Clear one floor before running to the next.
THE PHOTOGRAPHS
Calm My Nerves and Find My Car!: photograph the black car in the southwest Shofukucho parking lot.
Find the Cute Café!: the café is immediately north of Akame's hideout. Photograph its exterior rather than looking for a new café at the far end of town.
Find the Flying Takoyaki!: look southwest of Club Heavenly for the large takoyaki wall decoration. The request is about the sign, not a plate of food.
Find the Terrifying Beings!: go northwest from Stijl Bar to the open square and aim southeast. Fit the dragon, thunder god, and pufferfish decorations into the same photograph. A close-up of just one doesn't satisfy the three-subject clue.
Never Forget Four Shine: photograph Four Shine west of Ashitaba Park. Don't confuse it with Club Sun Shine.
Osaka's Famous Clown: find the drumming clown immediately west of Ganko Sushi.
Photograph the Boat Guy: visit the river during daylight and wait for the sightseeing boat moving west to east. The man is posing at the bow. If you see a boat without him, wait for the other one. Take the photo when he is close enough to frame clearly.
Please Photograph Fukupi-chan: photograph the enormous clown head near the Castle Casino entrance. This is different from the drumming clown in Sotenbori.
Show Me Kids Playing "Pocket Circuit": photograph the children near CourStar's entrance.
For all of these, use the phone camera after accepting the job and return to the requester. If the game won't accept a shot, move closer and frame the requested subject clearly before taking another. A picture of the general street can miss what the job is checking.
THE CLOTHING REQUESTS
Buy and actually equip the pieces before returning. Owning them in the Boutique inventory isn't enough. Some stock opens with higher Castle ranks; that is a progression gate, not a permanently missed outfit.
- A Taste of Kabuki, Castle Gambling Hall: Kabuki Makeup.
- Bring a Smile to My Soulless Face, Castle VIP Lounge: Bodysuit and Weird Stranger Makeup.
- My Friend Needs to Understand, Coliseum: Snakeskin Eyepatch and Shirtless Blazer.
- Please Model For Me!, Castle Central Street: Straw Hat, T-Shirt, and Straw Sandals. The sandals are in Akame's shop.
- The Outfit From My Memories, Castle Central Street: Formal Attire, Single Rose, and Leather Shoes.
- Turn That Frown Upside Down, Clown, Sotenbori Street: Clown Makeup.
Check the appearance set you're wearing outside the arena. Putting something into an unused Coliseum outfit slot won't make the street requester see it.
ITEM REQUESTS: WHERE TO SHOP
I'd carry a few ordinary food and recovery items while doing the city rounds. The named requests below are the ones where going to the wrong branch can waste time.
Poppo on Shofukucho:
- A Certain Taiyaki Brand: Taiyaki. The Ashitaba Park Poppo also stocks it.
- Up For an Azuki Bar: Azuki Bar.
Poppo at Ashitaba Park:
- An Egg-cellent Idea: an egg.
- Hungry For Sushi: Sushi Set.
- Order of Oden: Oden.
Poppo on Sotenbori Street:
- Hungry, Hungry Bento: the requested bento.
- The Luxury Yakiniku Bento Dream: Luxury Yakiniku Bento.
- Pinin' For Pine Candy: Pine Candy.
The other food requests are less restrictive:
- Have Mercy, Give Food!: any food item.
- I Want a Convenience Store Bento!: a bento from Poppo.
- Today's a Boozin' Day: sake from Poppo.
- Desperate for Takoyaki and Takoyaki on the Brain: buy takeaway takoyaki at Kukuru.
- Real-Deal Okonomiyaki and When Will I Taste Okonomiyaki?: food from Hiratai.
Recovery and supplies:
- Desperate for Staminan Light: buy Staminan Light at Tsuruha Drugs. An ordinary Staminan with a different name is not the requested item.
- That Tantalizing Tauriner!: carry a Tauriner.
- If Only I Had an Energy Drink... and Somethin' for the Pain: give an energy drink.
- In Need of Absorption and Tissues! Wipes! Anything!: Pocket Tissues from Poppo.
- Itching for Ichiban Senbei: expand Akame's shop to Level 4 and buy the senbei there.
More expensive items:
- In Search of Star-Crossed Earrings: buy the earrings at the Castle Boutique.
- Time's a Luxury: give the requester a Luxury Timepiece. Locker G5 contains one, and beating MB at darts also awards one, so check those before buying another. The request pays ¥1 million.
Don't sell a unique-looking reward immediately if you still have an item request outstanding. The timepiece is a good example of why checking first saves money.
UFO CATCHER REQUESTS
Can Anyone Conquer the UFO Catcher!? and In Need of a UFO Catcher accept any prize. Kitty Kat, Come Home needs a Kitty Kat toy, with any color accepted. A Quest for Ono Michio needs the Ono Michio Pixel Figure specifically.
If the required toy isn't in the machine's current arrangement, talk to the arcade attendant about changing or resetting the prizes. Winning another plush doesn't substitute for a named figure.
LOOK UP BEFORE YOU LEAVE
A Dental Dilemma: retrieve the tooth above the child in Ashitaba Park.
A Priceless Autograph: retrieve the baseball high above the requester in South Shofukucho.
Catch That Crawdad!: use Spider on the nearby river sparkle.
Kickin' the Habit: retrieve the shoe above Iwao Bridge.
My Best Ball: retrieve the nearby ball in South Shofukucho.
Not Just a Hat: retrieve the hat from the riverside tree.
The Waterlogged Ring: look west from the Bishamon Bridge requester and pull the ring from the river.
You Saw Nothing: retrieve the underwear from the tree in central Shofukucho.
Fukupi-chan Or Bust: the mask is on a red lantern over the eastern wooden walkway of Bishamon Bridge. Look up until the pickup prompt appears. You can reach it from below without finding a route onto the bridge decorations.
Solve the Mysterious Note: this Chapter 4 job leads to the turtle-pillared hotel southeast of Wild Jackson. Look at the awning on the opposite, northern side of the street and retrieve the Gold Ball. Accept the note first; the collectible isn't waiting there throughout the entire game.
MINIGAME JOBS THAT NEED PREPARATION
Accept the pool requests before doing their Easy and Normal 1-Shot challenges. For the separate Surgical Precision trophy, finish the full Normal three-shot set, not just one successful setup.
The golf requests ask for four and eight Bingo lines. The karaoke jobs that ask for 90 points need that score on the named song, not merely a performance. Like a Butterfly requires Akame, so do her first Drink Link before looking for a solo version that doesn't exist.
Pocket Circuit rival jobs require a conversation with the challenger before their Rival Match appears. Winning an ordinary race on the same course won't complete that person's challenge.
Once the trickier jobs are out of the way, the remaining combat requests are straightforward encounters at their markers. Keep checking the Support Map as story progress and completed jobs add more. That is much more efficient than trying to force every marker to appear on the first visit to Sotenbori.
