LIKE A DRAGON GAIDEN: AKAME’S NETWORK AND REQUESTS
Akame's network connects most of Gaiden's side content, but its menus can make the requirements look more complicated than they are. Requests are the longer side stories you accept from Akame. Stroll n' Patrol jobs are the smaller tasks marked around the city. The Activity Log pays points for things you do in combat, exploration, and minigames.
They all help your progression, but they aren't interchangeable. For the trophies, you need fifteen requests and fifty Stroll n' Patrol completions. For the full story content, keep checking the Substories list too, because some automatically triggered entries are filed there rather than offered as an ordinary request.
Nothing here becomes permanently unavailable because you finish the main story. A missing job usually means you need another Castle rank, an earlier request, or a little more story progress.
HOW I'D SET THE NETWORK UP
The system opens in Chapter 2, with Requests and the Activity Log becoming available at Network Level 3. You can accept multiple available requests together. If you prefer fewer markers on your map, take a smaller group, but there is no requirement to finish them one at a time.
The shop investment chain costs ¥15,000, then ¥80,000, ¥150,000, and ¥300,000. Those purchases open and expand the shop; they don't directly buy its stock. You still spend Akame Points on the items themselves. The Gold Ball appears at Shop Level 3 for 777 points. Shop Level 4 also matters for the Ichiban Senbei street job.
At Network Level 5, the point-earning investments become available. Their three stages cost ¥100,000, ¥300,000, and ¥500,000, taking the bonus to 3%, 6%, and 10%. At Level 7, the ability-discount chain uses those same yen costs and reduces Akame Point upgrade costs by 5%, 10%, and 15%. These are final tier values, not bonuses you should add together.
I'd prioritize those two chains while there are still plenty of jobs and upgrades ahead. Don't spend your early points on a stack of optional shop items and then wonder why your next combat upgrade is waiting on more errands.
THE FIRST REQUESTS
Emergency Request! / Investigate the Immersive Cabaret Club is part of the story introduction. Bring ¥10,000, visit Club Heavenly, spend time with a hostess, then report back to Akame. Completing this introduction does not finish both hostess tracks.
Investigation Request becomes available after you obtain Hornet. Begin at the marked spot near Akame's hideout and the shogi area. Follow the investigation north to Sotenbori Street near the arcade, then back to the marked central Shofukucho location near Club Heavenly. The dialogue choices don't create a failure state or lock you out of finishing.
Film Assistant Needed also follows Hornet's introduction. Meet Kitayama upstairs in Smile Burger. The filming sequence eventually becomes a fight with a knife-wielding enemy. Keep some health in reserve for that encounter rather than treating the whole request as conversation.
Vanquish the Red Peacocks is the start of a longer gang chain. I'll walk through that whole sequence together, since later requests depend on finishing it in order.
SILVER-RANK STORY REQUESTS
Once the story gives you Silver rank, return to Akame for the next group.
A Simple Heavy-Lifting Job starts with Matsumura at Wild Jackson. After meeting him, speak to the homeless man underneath Bishamon Bridge on the south side. The next stop is the office reached by the elevator between Bar New Momoko and Kiss Shot. Beat the men inside, then go to Ashitaba Park for the confrontation with Matsumura and his group. Don't stop after the office fight and assume the job is complete.
Ghost of Sotenbori begins at the east end of Sotenbori Street. Defeat the initial thugs and the man claiming to be Ryuji Goda. Follow Akame's next lead to South Shofukucho for another encounter, then enter the marked office near the north side of Ashitaba Park. The last fight includes a boss with several health bars. The repeated sightings are the investigation, not a random encounter you need to wait to spawn.
Seeking Advice, also shown as Looking for Advice, starts on Smile Burger's lower floor. Follow the young man to Iwao Bridge, then toward Ganko Sushi for a fight with the person he has provoked. Follow the final riverside marker for the last confrontation. Use the active objective marker for that last stop rather than looking for him back inside the restaurant.
BUILD THE CLAN WHILE YOU DO THE REQUESTS
These jobs give you fighters as well as points. I'd do them before spending hours leveling a temporary Coliseum roster.
Recruit Homeless Yamanaka: find him in Ashitaba Park. He wants to test you in a fight before joining. Beat him to recruit Homeless Yamaoka and open the rapper's request.
The Cat-Lovin' Rapper: after Yamanaka's job, meet KATSUWO in East Shofukucho near the taxi. Fight him first, then help deal with the people abusing cats. The three groups are in the southwest Shofukucho parking lot, the parking lot southeast of the coin lockers, and beneath the south side of Iwao Bridge. Clear all three and return for the final fight. KATSUWO joins afterward and gives you a useful healer for team matches.
The Strongest Convenience Store Clerk: go to Poppo on Shofukucho, the western store. Speak to the additional clerk. You fight his manager first, then the clerk himself. Winning both recruits Ryusei Tobashira and opens the wrestler's request.
Save the Pro Wrestler: find the wrestler below the north side of Iwao Bridge. He needs ten flyers distributed before he will fight you. The ten recipients are marked on the map: north Iwao Bridge, west of Club Heavenly, north of Shigano Cigarettes, outside Kiss Shot, near Wild Jackson, east of the northwestern taxi, north of Kushikatsu Daruma, on the footpath southwest of Daruma, near Poppo on Sotenbori Street, and just north of Hiratai on the southern footpath. Return after all ten conversations, then win the wrestling challenge to recruit Excellent Sujiya. Watch his grabs instead of standing beside him while recovering from a long combo.
Liberate the Hammer Man: find Yuji Nunokawa on the southern Sotenbori footpath. You need ¥1 million in hand to offer help with his debt, but this request does not actually take that million away. Speak to the foreman farther east along the river. You'll fight Nunokawa, then the foreman and his men. Nunokawa resists being knocked around, so dodge the hammer swing, punish the recovery, and back out. Finish the second fight to recruit him.
The Struggling Host: finish the hammer request first, then meet Renji near Club Heavenly. The investigation has a sequence: woman at the Grand, woman near Poppo Shofukucho, woman in southwest Shofukucho, woman near the eastern Sotenbori Street Poppo, woman behind the turtle pillars in West Shofukucho, red-haired man south of Iwao Bridge, then the rival near Club Sun Shine. Beat Itsuki, return to Renji, and win the final fight to recruit Renji.
GOLD RANK AND THE DETECTIVES
Reach Gold Tier needs Network Level 10 and three Silver-rank Coliseum wins. Return to Akame to finish the promotion rather than continuing to grind after the requirements are already met.
End the Destruction opens at Gold rank. Investigate the construction area in Shofukucho, fight the man you encounter, then speak to the homeless witness to the west. Agree to work with Kaito. Declining doesn't create a different route through the request; you need the partnership to continue.
The investigation leads to another group fight and a longer fight against Kaito. After that, enter the marked building southeast of Bishamon Bridge for the final confrontation. Completing it recruits both Masaharu Kaito and Toru Higashi. That's a defender and a healer from one request, which is why I'd make time for it before the harder team matches.
AKAME'S OWN STORY
The first Drink Link follows your Gold promotion. The remaining outings need Network Levels 13, 16, and 19. If Akame wants to go out when you return, do that event and then come back to the network menu. Her dialogue choices do not permanently damage the bond.
The first outing lets you bring her to karaoke. The Level 13 event opens her Pocket Circuit challenge, the Level 16 event opens her darts challenge, and the final event completes Friends in Special Places after a fight. Finish all four for Drinkin' and Linkin'. For Rising Superstar, separately sing Like a Butterfly with her at Bar New Momoko.
That route leaves you with developed network progression, the early story requests done, useful recruits, and Akame's bond underway. The gang chain, Golden Samurai, Gold Balls, and Coliseum endgame each have their own sequence, so I'm keeping those together rather than scattering their prerequisites across unrelated lists.
