YAKUZA: LIKE A DRAGON: ALL KAPPA STATUES
“Kappture the Kappa” pays ¥2,000,000 for photographing ten statues around Ijincho. It also gives 30 Part-time Hero stars. The difficult part is that several statues are behind windows, on balconies, or inside places you would not normally search with a camera.
The request becomes available through Part-time Hero in Chapter 5. You cannot finish the entire set that early because the story has not opened every required area. For a single uninterrupted cleanup run, wait until the relevant Chapter 7 story visits are finished.
**Make sure each photograph counts**
Open Ichiban's phone camera with up on the D-pad, or your platform's assigned camera command. Aim at the statue and adjust your position until the specific “Take Picture” prompt appears. Then take the photograph.
A nice screenshot with a kappa somewhere in the background does not automatically count. The game must recognize the statue. When a fence or glass is between you and it, focus on getting that prompt rather than trying to find a route inside.
**The ten locations**
• **South Sakura River Street:** From the homeless-camp/Can Quest area, follow the riverside path south to its corner. The statue stands openly by the water at the southern end of the street. This is the obvious one with a sign nearby.
• **Southern Sunrise Street:** Cross to the western side of the river and check the building near the Part-time Hero representative, a few doors south of Hamako's restaurant. The statue is behind the ground-floor window beneath the green awning. Photograph it through the glass from outside.
• **Survive Bar:** Go inside, pass the bar, and climb upstairs to the room used for resting and storage. Look in the cupboard. The kappa is lying on its side on the upper shelf, so do not search only at floor level.
• **Red Light District back alley:** Go east from Romance Workshop into the small parking area in the alley. The same general area is southeast of Rose Blossom Cabaret. Face the green fence on the eastern side and look through it toward the outside staircase at the northern end. The statue is on the stairs beyond the fence.
• **Restaurant Row:** Enter the alley behind the weapon shop on Ijin Street. Take the stairs on the right into the elevated area with tables and hostile enemies. After dealing with any fight, look toward the adjoining balcony and its short reddish-brown railing. The kappa is above street level, not in the narrow ground-floor dead end where a missing cat can be found. If the route is still blocked by story progression, return after Chapter 7's relevant events.
• **Fukutokucho/Geomijul:** This one requires the Chapter 7 story route. In the alley north of the Fukutokucho label, find the exterior stairs near the planter where you can grow seeds. Climb the flights of stairs, then look across the alley rather than searching the landing you are standing on. The statue is at the end of the opposite building's balcony. You can return later if you missed it during the story.
• **West end of Jinnai Station:** Find the glass-sided accessibility elevator near the road intersection at the western end of the station. Stand on the road-facing side and point the camera through the glass. The kappa is inside the lift. You do not have to make the elevator operate.
• **Behind MIRAI Batting Center:** Travel to the far northwestern corner of Ijincho. Walk around the batting center toward the waterfront and check the corner of the path behind it. This statue is outdoors near the water.
• **Chinatown:** Use Yi Xing Tang as your nearby shop landmark. Search northeast of it along the street through Chinatown, looking for the narrow recessed gap between buildings on the north side. The statue is at ground level in that gap, beside the restaurant frontage advertising roast duck.
• **Hamakita Park, Hero's Harvest:** Go to the food trucks beside Dragon Kart near the northern edge of the park. Look inside the white Hero's Harvest truck, next to its vendor. Open the camera outside and frame the statue inside the serving area.
**Claim the reward**
After all ten have registered, report the completed request to a Part-time Hero representative. Taking the last photograph and handing in the quest are separate steps.
Along with the ¥2,000,000, the reward includes a Water God's Amulet, Tempered Safety Glass, and a Staminan XX. Combined with the two missing-cat requests, these collectible jobs pay ¥4,000,000 altogether.
If your count stops at nine, check the upstairs cupboard, the station elevator, and the two elevated story-area statues first. Those are easy to overlook or photograph without the recognition prompt. None of these statues requires restarting the game because you passed its story scene.
