Yakuza: Like a Dragon: the platinum and achievement roadmap This covers the international version of Yakuza: Like a Dragon. The original Japanese release has a different trophy setup, so don't use an older Japanese checklist interchangeably with this one. The important part up front: you can finish the story once, clean up afterward in Premium Adventure, and get everything. There are no permanently missable trophies in this list, and you don't need a higher-difficulty or New Game Plus run. You also don't need to finish the entire in-game completion list. The catch is the True Final Millennium Tower. Finishing the story does not mean your party is ready for it. Treat that as a separate endgame project instead of walking straight in and assuming a few extra levels will cover it. FIRST: PLAY THE STORY AND BUILD GOOD HABITS All fifteen chapter-clear trophies come from the main story. Keep separate manual saves, especially before committing to a long dungeon or the final sequence. During the story, work on these alongside the main objectives: • Visit Survive when a companion's bond gauge reaches its lock. More battles won't push through a Drink Link you haven't completed. • Eat at restaurants and trigger different Table Talks instead of using the same meal every time. • Do substories that interest you. The trophy target is 40 of the game's 52, with earlier milestones at 10 and 20. • Use Poundmates occasionally. The target is 30 calls, not 30 different summons. • Open safes and pick up equipment. These contribute to collection trophies while supplying useful gear. • Start business management when it becomes available. It supports several trophies and gives you a much better source of personal money than early street fights. When Chapter 12 introduces the Sotenbori Battle Arena, stop and use it. Clear all 30 floors for Heir to the Legend, improve your equipment, and bring your main team to around level 50 before continuing into that chapter's major fights. That's a preparation target, not a hidden requirement. SECOND: FINISH THE CHARACTER PROGRESSION Ichiban's level trophies arrive at 10, 30, 50 and 70. Character level and job rank are separate, so check the correct number if a trophy hasn't appeared. For Professional, Master of Trades and Jack of All Trades, the relevant job-rank threshold is 30, despite the descriptions saying “max.” You do not have to raise seven jobs to rank 99 for those trophies. Spread seven different jobs across the party and get them to rank 30. Using each character's distinct default job is a straightforward way to avoid duplicate-job confusion. At Hello Work, change Ichiban through three and then eight jobs other than Freelancer for the job-change trophies. Some choices require higher personality stats, so return as those unlock. Keep track of which jobs you've actually selected rather than counting ones merely visible in the menu. For Career Counseling, put all four active party members into jobs different from their own defaults, then win a battle. For Ichiban, choose something other than both Freelancer and Hero. Merely changing their jobs isn't the whole requirement. Pick a safe fight, get the trophy, and switch everyone back if you prefer. Max all six of Ichiban's personality stats to level 10. Use first-time vocational exam passes, Part-time Hero challenges, substory answers and personality books to fill gaps. Repeating an already-passed exam won't repeatedly award its first-clear personality bonus. Max the bonds with Nanba, Adachi, Saeko, Joon-gi Han, Zhao and Eri. The regular companions progress through their Drink Links at Survive. Nanba has a story gate before you can finish his bond progression. Eri is the exception: her bond follows business-management milestones, finishing when the company reaches number one. THIRD: CLEAR THE SIDE-ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS Business management: • Reach company rank 50 and move offices. • Reach rank 1. • Buy at least 10 properties over your career. This is cumulative; you aren't supposed to own ten simultaneously. • Build company capital beyond ¥10 billion. Company money and Ichiban's personal cash are separate accounts. Part-time Hero: • Reach Senior Hero at 70 stars. • Reach Executive Hero at 300 total stars. • Use Support and Rescue requests that award stars. Personality challenges are useful, but they aren't a replacement for the star-paying requests. Collecting and crafting: • Register 200 different Sujimon by fighting different enemy types. The earlier milestone is 100. This game records enemy encounters; it isn't Infinite Wealth's recruit-and-battle Sujimon system. • Collect 200 pieces of gear, passing the 100-piece milestone along the way. Duplicate equipment counts, so this isn't a demand for 200 unique named items. • Create 10 pieces of equipment at Romance Workshop. • Fully fund the workshop's facility upgrades. The required donations total ¥22.2 million: ¥200,000, ¥2 million and ¥20 million. That upgrades the facility, not every weapon in the game. Minigames and conversations: • Pass 10 different vocational school exams for Certified Genius. • Clear all three Can Quest course difficulties. • Win every Dragon Kart cup and rival race. The later races have story-progress gates, so don't assume the activity is finished after the early cups. • Successfully finish every movie at Seagull Cinema without falling asleep. • Try 10 different minigames for Man About Town. You don't need a perfect completion record in every one. • View 20 different Table Talk scenes. A normal restaurant visit without the appropriate food and companions doesn't necessarily trigger one. Other cleanup: • Complete two romance substories for Playing With Fire. Despite the wording about “over two,” two completed romances satisfy it. • Find and pay all five Honk-Honk providers. Their appearances can be inconsistent, so revisit their locations rather than assuming a missing NPC means a permanently missed trophy. • Get the safe-enemy encounter for Treasure Displeasure. Keep opening dungeon safes until you've triggered it. • Have someone hit by a vehicle during combat for Fight on the Sidewalk! Use a street encounter near moving traffic and knock an enemy toward the road. Don't risk a major cash loss trying to force it with an underleveled party. FOURTH: SEPARATE THE TWO POSTGAME TOWERS Clear the ordinary Final Millennium Tower first. That awards Fulfiller of Dreams and opens the route to the harder True Final Millennium Tower. Victory of the Millennium belongs to the True Final version. The similar names cause unnecessary confusion: beating the story's Millennium Tower, beating the regular postgame tower, and beating the True Final tower are three different accomplishments. For the True Final attempt, build toward level 99 characters, a properly leveled main job, useful permanent stat bonuses from other jobs, elemental coverage, reliable healing and revival, and equipment chosen for survival. Rank 30 being enough for the job trophies does not make it an adequate endgame build by itself. Keep Ichiban protected. If he goes down, the fact that the other three people are still standing doesn't rescue the run. Go in with recovery items and a clear plan for keeping him alive, especially around instant-kill attacks. BEFORE CALLING IT FINISHED Check the actual trophy or achievement list against the categories above. Don't spend twenty hours finishing optional mahjong, shogi or every Part-time Hero request because you assume an older game's 100% rules still apply here. The practical order is story, side-content cleanup, ordinary Final Millennium Tower, then serious preparation for True Final Millennium Tower. You can mix in side activities whenever you want. The point is to avoid doing the hardest grinding early, before the efficient tools are available.
