Snack New Gaudi in Yakuza 6 has a whole group of substories behind it, plus baseball recruits, clan recruits, a trophy, and the Kiwami Speargun. If you've been walking past the bar waiting for something to happen, here's the order that gets it moving.
First, complete baseball #35, We Need a Ringer, and reach Chapter 5. Visit the bar in eastern Hana-no-kubo during the day and let Hatakeyama introduce you in #40. After that, each normal visit has a ¥3,000 cover charge.
Buy Social Skills and Alcohol Tolerance before doing lots of visits. Talk to patrons to raise their friendship to three hearts. Their longer group conversations then appear as substories when you approach the bar again.
The unlock order matters:
- Hatakeyama and Mama are available from the start.
- Use the karaoke machine once to open Gen's friendship.
- Finish Hatakeyama's story to open Akiyoshi.
- Finish Hatakeyama, Gen, and Akiyoshi before working through Ando and Kaneko.
- Finish the other five patron stories and develop Mama's friendship for her final story.
Work on Mama throughout the process. Order food from her or play darts with her while you're making the other visits. If you leave her friendship untouched until everyone else is done, you're adding an unnecessary grind at the end.
Talking increases Kiryu's drunkenness. When he's had enough and gets sent out, use Forest Meltwater from the nearby vending machines to sober up and return. Coming in with stomach space lets you order more food instead of wasting the visit.
The group discussions have timed responses. You need the Liveliness Gauge above its marked threshold at the end. You can repeat a failed conversation, so a wrong answer doesn't permanently lock the story.
These are the response-button sequences for the standard PlayStation layout. Read one symbol per response prompt, then the final triangle when the finisher appears. On the standard Xbox layout, square becomes X, cross becomes A, circle becomes B, and triangle becomes Y. If your controls are remapped, follow the corresponding on-screen choices rather than the printed button name.

Don't skip the outside-the-bar follow-ups. Hatakeyama goes to La Pente. Akiyoshi is on the pedestrian bridge, even though the conversation points you toward the shrine. Gen sends a message after you leave; return to him. Ando's story involves his pawn shop, a fight, and a final dockside conversation. Kaneko ends at Ryunan Shrine.
After those stories, speak to the patrons again. Hatakeyama, Akiyoshi, and Gen are baseball recruits. Ando and Kaneko join the Kiryu Clan. Finishing the story and actually collecting the recruit are not always the same interaction.
For Mama, collect the stationery sample near Yonetoku once the other stories and her friendship are ready. Return to the empty bar, write the note, and hide it under the electric water pot. That is the place only she checks. Do other activities until Kiryu says it's time, then meet her at Jingai Ferry Dock. Finish the final bar conversation and speak to her again for the Kiwami Speargun.
Keep checking your standing with Mama until Beloved Customer registers for Where Everybody Knows Your Name. The full Awards also ask for high ranks in all six conversations and thirty visits. Those are separate counters, so don't assume one successful evening clears the whole bar.
