YAKUZA 5 REMASTERED: ALL FIVE HOSTESSES, RANK EVENTS AND ELISE RECRUITMENT
This is a relationship-progression guide, not a cabaret-management minigame. The four male protagonists each have a designated local hostess. Completing all four is required to unlock Kiryu's second hostess, Hinata, in Kamurocho. Haruka does not participate.
THE VISIT LOOP
First use the city's information booth, not just the club door. The ordinary cover, service and request fees total ¥14,700 before drinks and extras.
For an efficient visit, order the ¥10,000 Gacha Drink. It increases affection and gives a random item; possible useful prizes include Mystery Stone and Platinum Membership Card, which reduces the cover charge by 30%. Avoid assuming an expensive champagne tower is required to rank up. Gifts, food and extensions are optional ways to spend more, not mandatory progression gates.
A normal visit has three conversations with breaks between them. Use breaks to ask a suitable question or introduce a learned gossip topic. Agree when she asks to share the drink. The aim is to push the Love Gauge past its right-side marker before leaving, which earns a full relationship-rank increase. Falling short gives only partial progress.
Dialogue has three separate pools: the introduction/new-rank discussion, a rotating set of ten ordinary topics, and five one-time pink/flirty topics that can appear after the gauge crosses the marker. Don't reuse a response sequence just because it worked on your previous visit. Match the current prompt.
There is no universal “always flatter her” rule. Some positive answers are teasing or blunt. Learn the local gossip listed below and use the individual reference page for the exact prompt if maximizing each visit matters. Don't choose a topic solely because it sounds related: some Talk Combos decrease affection.
Two rank stops are intentional:
• Fill C rank, leave and wait for her call. Complete the date/event to reach B.
• Fill A rank, leave and answer the next call. Complete her story event to reach S.
• Return for ONE MORE CLUB VISIT after reaching S. This closes her storyline and records completion. The S badge by itself is not enough for Elise recruitment.
Ordinary optional dates are separate from these mandatory rank events. On a roaming date, hold L1/LB to walk alongside her, listen to attraction/food requests, and end the outing when she becomes tired rather than sprinting ahead. One optional date is useful for the related trophy, but repeatedly arranging them is not necessary for efficient rank progression.
RIKU / KIRYU / NAGASUGAI
Available from partway through Chapter 2. Start at Nagasu Night Navi and ask to visit a hostess.
Useful opening replies include being honest that you're a taxi driver and agreeing that people can rely on you. This is not a route where hiding your occupation helps.
Gossip collection:
• Shop at Fukuya twice, then speak to the woman outside: unusual uses for spicy roe.
• After unlocking the ramen-minigame stall, eat there twice and listen to the couple outside: tomato tonkotsu.
• Eat at Hanamidori twice, excluding the story meal with your boss, then listen to the women outside: hotpot and skin.
• Listen to two men just north of Motsunabe Kaede: local vending machines.
• Listen to two women slightly east of Tsuruya: Hakata textiles.
C→B: answer her call and meet just north of the main Nagasu/Modern/Suzukake crossroads.
A→S: answer the call to Chikuzengawa Street South, at the Kamiyama Works area. Fight the men, overtake Subaru's car in the race, then win the following fight, including Subaru. Bring ordinary combat recovery and be ready for driving rather than expecting a dialogue-only date.
Return to the club after reaching S.
KAGUYA / SAEJIMA / TSUKIMINO
Use Tsukimino Guide. The apparent Chapter 1 visit is not the real relationship route; actual progress is available once Saejima reaches Tsukimino in Chapter 4.
At introduction, don't brag about prison. Her relaxed attitude does not mean every “quit work” response is good; match her specific topic rather than treating her as a generic hard-work encouragement quiz.
Gossip collection:
• Eat at Curry Shop S twice and listen to the women outside: soup-curry breakfast diet.
• Eat at local Sushi Zanmai twice and listen to the men outside: July sea urchin season.
• Speak to Okojaya's attendant a couple of times: white chocolate.
• Listen to the girls on a bench on the west side of northern Main Street Park: hot-water bottles.
• During Chapter 1's prison yard, talk to the prisoner in the northwest: Hokkaido New Year's food. This is an early optional gossip opportunity, not a reason the entire hostess route becomes impossible if you missed the conversation.
C→B: meet at Bridie on the southwest corner of the Tsukasa Street intersection.
A→S: return to Bridie for her event and win the fights.
Then complete the final S-rank club visit.
HONOKA / AKIYAMA / SOTENBORI
Start at the Infomen booth. She's studying to become a newscaster; listen to the actual broadcasting/voice problem, because empty reassurance can be a bad answer. In the introductory voice conversation, “Sometimes” is a positive response. When she worries about her accent, acknowledge the goal instead of dismissing it.
Gossip collection:
• Two men in the Shofukucho alleys east of Crest Bar: Oita karaage.
• Eat at Watami twice: comedians' gathering place.
• Drink at Stijl twice and speak with the bartender; if it doesn't trigger, make another visit: non-alcoholic drinks. The reference reports some variability here, so two visits is not a guaranteed hard count.
• Eat at Tsuruhashi Fugetsu three times, then hear the couple outside: okonomiyaki diet.
• Buy something at Le Marche on two visits. Cheap Asian Digital Watches keep the cost down: fashion trends.
C→B: meet on Iwao Bridge and complete the conversation.
A→S: she calls after losing her voice. Go to Daikoku Drugstore to learn about a legendary lozenge, then speak to the homeless man behind Saigo in Ashitaba Park. Walk away until another man talks to you, return to the bench man, ask for “a dream,” and offer all your money. The event does not actually take your money.
Finish with the S-rank club visit.
SHION / SHINADA / KINEICHO
Use MayNavi on Obiita Street to visit Club Eden on the other side of the block. Her introduction responds positively to identifying yourself as a nightlife journalist. Don't assume Shinada needs to pretend to be wealthy.
Gossip collection:
• Drink at First Shot twice and hear the bartender: celebrity tequila.
• Speak to the seated man in the batting center: baseball VIP rooms.
• Eat at Yamamotoya Honten twice and hear the woman outside: miso's health/beauty benefits.
• Eat at Sekai no Yamachan twice, then hear the couple outside: chicken-wing collagen.
• At Mid Square's sunken Christmas tree, go up to street level and around its west side to hear two women: Christmas in Los Angeles.
C→B: meet at the TV Tower's base in Mid Square.
A→S: she calls about a follower. Find her at Kume/Honjincho, by the Kineya building, chase the stalker, then find her again at the corner near Karaokekan after the scene.
Return for the final club visit.
ELISE: UNLOCKING HINATA, IN THE RIGHT ORDER
1. Control Akiyama in Kamurocho and enter his club, Elise. Speak with the manager about its difficulties.
2. Return to New Serena for Akiyama's discussion with the other protagonists.
3. With each appropriate protagonist, travel back to his local hostess club. The hostess must already be S rank AND have had that final closing visit.
4. Approach the club and complete the invitation: Kiryu invites Riku; Saejima invites Kaguya; Akiyama invites Honoka; Shinada invites Shion.
5. After inviting each woman, visit Elise in Kamurocho to confirm her arrival. Don't assume the local invitation dialogue is the entire recruitment task.
6. Once all four arrivals are confirmed, the manager introduces the Hinata issue and Akiyama asks Kiryu to help.
7. As Kiryu, go to MEB on the north side of Millennium Tower and request the club visit. Hinata is not available to Akiyama simply because he owns Elise.
HINATA OSAKI / KIRYU / KAMUROCHO
Gossip collection:
• Sing at Karaokekan on two visits: solo karaoke rooms.
• Shop at Le Marche twice: famous-brand outlet store.
• Eat at Gindaco Highball Sakaba twice, then speak to the two men outside: octopus rejuvenation.
• Eat at Kamurocho Café Alps twice: edible tea.
• Visit Hot Springs Heaven twice: Korean-style saunas.
Important dialogue trap: during her E-rank discussion about improving her club position, agreeing to help with “Sure” can order ¥300,000 Gold Champagne. Do not treat every affirmative response as a free affection gain. Her birthday is February 14, but the later birthday conversation's best response depends on whether she actually told Kiryu earlier; follow the prompt's context, not trivia alone.
C→B: meet near Club SEGA in Theater Square.
A→S: she calls from near a hotel. Find her and the man near the M Store. Carry AT LEAST ¥5,000,000. You show the money rather than spending it, but without the cash this event cannot be completed. Do this before using the same fortune for the final crafting spree.
Return to Hinata for her closing S-rank visit, then switch to Akiyama and return to Elise for the final celebration. That last ownership-side scene finishes the whole hostess storyline.
IF PROGRESS SEEMS STUCK
At capped C/A: leave the club and wait for the event call; don't keep buying visits against the gate.
At S but no invitation: complete the closing visit and activate the Elise/New Serena recruitment sequence.
After invitation but no Hinata: confirm all four arrivals at Elise.
At Hinata's final event: check Kiryu's cash, not the party's vague overall wealth.
For a low-scoring visit: use the correct hostess's prompt reference, collect missing gossip and stop paying for gifts or extensions as your default fix.
