YAKUZA 5 REMASTERED: ALL REVELATIONS AND THE COMPLETE IF8 ROUTE There are five scene-based Revelations and twelve weapon Revelations. The latter are new heavy attacks, not Heat Actions. Treat them as separate checklists. SCENE REVELATIONS Kiryu's Chapter 3 fare with Mack introduces the system. At each scene, inspect the person with Confirm and succeed at the three button prompts. • Kiryu, Essence of Door Slamming: the arguing couple beside a car midway along Modern Street in Nagasugai. • Saejima, Essence of the Snowman: finish Snow Festival Performer, then inspect Inari balancing on a snowball in the eastern part of Main Street Park. • Haruka, Rainbow Prism Star: finish Starbound, then inspect Ulala on Iwao Bridge. • Akiyama, Double Juggle: finish Okonomiyaki Performer and return to the performer's stand in southeast Sotenbori. • Shinada, Essence of Furious Thrusts: finish The Sweet Spot and return to the batting center to watch Pedro practice. If someone isn't at their Revelation position, check the named substory before trying to manipulate time or reload the whole chapter. WEAPON REVELATIONS: HOW TO TRIGGER THEM Hit enemies repeatedly with the relevant scenery object, concentrating on Heavy Attack. Hold L2/LT to suppress Heat Actions so you don't accidentally spend the object on an animation instead. The successful trigger briefly pauses the action and shows a close-up of your character's face. The exact hit threshold is not firmly established in the cited guide. Do not treat a guessed number of swings as a guarantee. Hits must connect, and a similarly named crafted weapon is not automatically a substitute for the specified scenery object. KIRYU • Enhanced Pliers Attack: pliers north of the Nagasu Boulevard/Modern Street intersection near the trash. Also available in Coliseum Street Fight GP. • Enhanced Stove Attack: portable stove in the parking lot east of Motsunabe Kaede. Lure a fight into that area. Street Fight GP also supplies one. • Enhanced Garbage Can Attack: BLUE plastic buckets around Nagasugai or Kamurocho. Not every trash object qualifies. SAEJIMA • Enhanced Tire Attack: break a bicycle, then use its detached wheel. A complete bicycle is the wrong object for this Revelation. • Enhanced Plant Attack: potted plants in Kamurocho, including Nakamichi Street, or Street Fight GP. • Enhanced Garbage Can Attack: blue plastic buckets in Tsukimino or Kamurocho. AKIYAMA • Enhanced Bowling Attack: bowling ball in Kamurocho's Public Park 3, a ball from Street Fight GP, or the Master Ball completion reward from Ayanokoji training. • Enhanced Beer Crate Attack: YELLOW beer crates. Check north of Millennium Tower, southwest of the information booth, or west of Tenkaichi Street's Matsuya. Street Fight GP is another option. • Enhanced Bicycle Attack: use an intact bicycle. Once broken, the pieces no longer qualify. Kamurocho is a convenient place to find replacements. SHINADA • Enhanced Desk Attack: a table desk. The first Shinada fight has one, but this is not a missable Revelation: use Street Fight GP later if necessary. • Enhanced Beer Crate Attack: the yellow beer crates described above, including Street Fight GP. • Enhanced Dolly Attack: a blue wheeled cart. Check between the M Store and Children's Park, west of Tenkaichi Matsuya, west of Nakamichi Club SEGA beneath a beer keg, or north of Millennium Tower beneath beer crates. These break quickly, including when you're hit and drop them. Defeat the leader first so the remaining enemies are frightened, then pick up the cart and connect clean heavy attacks. Expect multiple carts rather than assuming one broken cart should have finished it. Haruka has no weapon Revelations. MINAMIDA / IF8: WHAT TO DO AND IN WHAT ORDER Kiryu encounters the attendant during Part 1 Chapter 4. Entry costs ¥10,000. Look for the IF8R map icon as each city's machine becomes available. The Road Battles are side-scrolling action stages. Left/right moves, up jumps and down crouches. There is no inventory healing, Heat Gauge or Heat Action access. You retain basic combos, heavy/finishing attacks and grabs. Watch the projectile colors: blue enemies fire LOW, so jump; green enemies fire HIGH, so crouch. Red enemies are the bulky threats. Don't charge blindly into mixed high/low fire. Clear a safe pocket and advance deliberately. Haruka uses a magical-girl version: Light Attack swings her wand and Heavy Attack fires a projectile, which can be charged. Play her at range where practical, ducking and jumping the same projectile patterns. LOCAL ROAD BATTLES • Nagasugai: Kiryu's stage ends with Yahata. • Tsukimino: Saejima's stage ends with Kugihara. • Sotenbori, Akiyama version: Ogita. • Sotenbori, Haruka version: Mai. • Kineicho: Shinada's stage ends with Daigo. Clear each character's local stage for Boost Heat Gauge. Akiyama's and Haruka's Sotenbori entries are distinct, so one does not complete the other's training. KAMUROCHO UPGRADE ROUTE Find Minamida in the Theater Basement, past the lockers and down the escalators. 1. Clear each man's Flashback Battle. These are ordinary combat encounters against their local boss: Kiryu/Yahata, Saejima/Kugihara, Akiyama/Ogita, Shinada/Daigo. Heat Actions work here but inventory items don't. Each character earns another Boost Heat Gauge. Haruka has no corresponding male-boss Flashback fight. 2. Invest ¥100,000 to upgrade the machine to version 1.1. This unlocks Kamurocho Road Battle, which runs through the ordinary enemy types and then Yahata, Kugihara, Ogita and Daigo. 3. Clear Kamurocho Road Battle with EVERY character, including Haruka, for Boost Heat Increase: faster Heat gain, not merely a larger meter. 4. Invest another ¥100,000 for version 1.2. This opens the extra Soul Point rewards. After each character's applicable Heat upgrades, repeat battles to collect up to eight additional Soul Points per character. These cover abilities ordinary leveling alone doesn't supply. 5. For efficient repeat clears, use the men's Flashback Battles and Haruka's Sotenbori Road Battle. Choose the version you can clear consistently, rather than a longer road course just because it's the newest one. Repeat play before the Soul Point reward is available, or after the character exhausts it, gives items instead. Possible rewards include Snowman Hammer, Staminan Royale, Gravity Converter, Small Motor and Mystery Liquid. The latter three are crafting unlock materials, so keep them rather than selling everything as disposable loot. Completing Minamida's training unlocks Spark 20,000V as a Completion Office reward. Combine the IF8 upgrades with the separate Sotaro breakthrough: one supplies extra ability points and Heat improvements, the other raises the level cap to 25. They are complementary, not interchangeable shortcuts. MR. CLIMAX: ALL TWELVE VARIATIONS This trophy/achievement requires USING all three Climax Heat moves for each of the four fighters. Merely learning them isn't enough. Haruka's performances are not part of this twelve-move requirement, and an ordinary blue-prompt Heat Action is not a Climax move. The separate red circular Climax meter beside health fills through ordinary Heat Actions. Once full, set up the relevant condition and look for a RED Heat prompt. Press Heavy Attack, Triangle/Y. For the standard fighting-stance triggers, hold R1/RB. Do not hold L2/LT, which suppresses Heat Actions. KIRYU 1. Essence of the Dragon King: his standard variation, available without a master lesson. Face an enemy in Fighting Stance and use the red prompt. 2. Essence of Drunken Thrust: learned at Sosuke's dinner interlude after the third scroll. Be drunk, face an enemy in Fighting Stance and use the red prompt. 3. Ultimate Essence: learned from Sosuke's Ultimate Scroll. Have health flashing red, enter Fighting Stance and use the red prompt. Save first and set this up against a manageable enemy rather than trying to manufacture low health in a dangerous boss encounter. SAEJIMA 4. Tiger Essence of Shockwave: standard variation. Face an enemy in Fighting Stance and use the red prompt. 5. Tiger Essence of Braining: learned from Tendo's third lesson, Wisdom of the Flames. Grab an enemy and use the red prompt. 6. Tiger Essence of Blitzing: learned from Tendo's final lesson, Wisdom of the Truth. Learn Yellow Dragon Spirit from the Soul upgrades, hold Taunt to charge it, then use the red prompt. The requirement is that charged special state, not an ordinary quick taunt. AKIYAMA 7. Killer Kick Combo: standard variation. Face an enemy in Fighting Stance and use the red prompt. 8. Meteor Strike: learned from Saigo's Suicidal Combat. Taunt an enemy and use the red prompt. 9. Final Drive: learned from True Suicidal Combat. Launch an enemy with Launch Strike, then activate the red prompt while the target is airborne. SHINADA 10. My Essence of Dragging: standard variation. Face an enemy in Fighting Stance and use the red prompt. 11. My Essence of Whirlwind: learned from Ayanokoji's second lesson. Hold a pole-class weapon and use the red prompt. 12. My Essence of Bashing Combo: learned from Ayanokoji's final lesson. Hold a small one-handed weapon, approach an enemy and use the red prompt. For cleanup, tick these off only after the animation plays. Refill the Climax meter between variations by doing ordinary Heat Actions. If the wrong red action keeps appearing, remove the competing condition: sober up or heal Kiryu for his default, release Saejima's grab for his default, and put Shinada's weapon away for his default. Perform these on normal street enemies where the required grab, taunt or launch is easy to establish, rather than on a boss who resists the setup.
