YAKUZA 5 REMASTERED: EVERY KIRYU SUBSTORY Here is Kiryu's complete list, with where to begin, what opens it, and what to do. The answer sequences below are for Remastered. Some PS3 dialogue questions use different answers. Kiryu has 18 listed substories: 17 individual stories plus the Amon finale. “Done” and “Resolved” both count toward completion, but getting the better result can change the reward. Save before an answer test, race, or other one-shot challenge if you want that better outcome. PART 1, CHAPTER 2: AVAILABLE FROM THE START 1. A PLEA TO THE GODS Go to Ose Bridge and speak to the student. Give these five answers in order: Movement; One in six; Commodore Perry; Gravitational potential energy; Seize the day. That finishes his test problem and earns the Alertness Hood. 2. DRAGON SEAFOOD BOWL On northern Chikuzengawa Street beside the river, speak to the heavyset fisherman in a white coat. Accept the river-fishing lesson and use the bun bait he supplies. Pull when the float goes under; you have three attempts. Accept the subsequent sea-fishing trip and finish that event too. You don't have to beat the fisherman to complete the story. The important follow-up is a new Dragon Seafood Bowl at Sushi Zanmai, which you must order separately for restaurant completion. 3. TAXI SOS Find the couple in the parking lot near Ebisu Pawn. After hearing about the taxi's flashing light, head north along Nagasu Boulevard until the taxi appears. Follow its route north, speak to the bystander, then turn west into Suzukake Lane. Continue after it toward the southern parking lot and defeat the man there. Reward: Staminan Royale. 4. ANOTHER HARUKA Near the save point on Chikuzengawa Street, listen for the dog and go down to the riverside footpath. Defeat the men threatening it. Next, find the girl's father near Omusubi Mura on Nagasu Boulevard. Speak to him, return with him, and win the second fight. You receive 1-2-3 Gum and Beads of Good Fortune. The assisted fight is also a useful opportunity to record a team Heat Action. CHAPTER 2: AFTER THE DAY CHANGES TO EVENING 5. GOT TO BE FIRM Visit the southwest food-stall area in the evening and enter the southernmost stall. Play the noodle-serving event. You do not need the top minigame rank just to finish this substory. Ramen King belongs to the separate minigame completion target, so don't confuse the first successful introduction with finishing the whole activity. 6. HUNT FOR THE KIDNAPPER Talk to Wada at the intersection near M Store, north of Nagasu Taxi. The incident launches a timed driving pursuit. Catch the kidnappers within 2 minutes 30 seconds, then defeat Itoda and the other two men. Bring a reasonably developed taxi before accepting if the driving is giving you trouble. The reward is ¥20,000. 7. FAST FOOD! Find the man in white lying outside the north side of Don Quijote and agree to move his food cart. Drive it to the destination without hitting traffic, running red lights, or going off the road. You don't need taxi-style signals or passenger conversation here. A clean delivery gives the best result, including Hercules Gloves and ¥20,000. 8. FROM A FAR-OFF LAND At Nagasu Boulevard and Ose Bridge Boulevard, watch the mother and child discuss presents. Go to the taxi office and talk to Wada near Nakajima, then leave. Use a convenience-store ATM to send the eight separate payments, totaling ¥70,000. If necessary, do taxi work and collect your wages first. Leave the store after the eighth payment to close the substory. This is not the separate ¥5 million donation achievement. 9. CYBERTERRORISM Talk to Muramatsu at his computer in Nagasu Taxi. Choose “pull the cord,” then “put it back in.” When Nakajima proposes cutting the power, choose “Stop him.” The correct resolution earns a Staminan Spark. 10. THE SPANGLED METEOR In Chapter 2, inspect the conspicuous car near Joy Land in the southeast. After Wada explains the Vixen Zeroes, go to Omusubi Mura and defeat the barkers bothering the woman. When asked, identify the car as “The Spangled Meteor.” Return to the taxi office and speak to the woman outside to accept the race. Win its two laps, covering intermediate and advanced sections. Save beforehand and tune the car if necessary. Rewards include ¥30,000 and a Mystery Stone. AFTER KIYOKAWA JOINS THE TAXI OFFICE 11. KING OF THE MIXER This depends on progressing the taxi race storyline until Kiyokawa is recruited. Find him and Muramatsu on Ose Bridge Boulevard East near Motsunabe Kaede and accept the invitation. One successful response route is: drop chopstick; introductions; Hobby; King's Game; 3 and 4 kiss. Finish the gathering to receive a Calming Towel. CHAPTER 3 12. A KNOCK ON THE DOOR Return to Kiryu's apartment and walk inside after Chapter 3 begins. Reject the newspaper salesman's offer and continue refusing his pressure. The confrontation moves outside into a fight. Win it to finish and receive High-Grade Platinum. 13. MACK RETURNS This happens through the main story in Chapter 3. Follow Mack's Revelation introduction. You don't need to search for a separate optional starting marker, and the event opens the Revelation system for later use. CHAPTER 4 14. A CHANCE MEETING Talk to Muramatsu by the phone booth at the southern end of Nagasugai. When Yuya arrives, play dumb twice so Kiryu's identity stays covered. After the conversation, wait for Yuya's message about working at La Seine. Speak to him outside the club, leave the area, and return for the next scene. Defeat the yakuza with him to complete the story. His assistance provides another team Heat Action opportunity. 15. DRAGON MASK REDUX Talk to Hors d'Oeuvre Morosawa, seated against the wall outside La Seine, and defeat him. Return to Kiryu's apartment and inspect the bag in the corner for the Dragon Mask. Accept the wrestling match now or return to it later, then beat Morosawa again. The match pays ¥20,000. 16. KIRYU THE ACTOR Speak to the exhausted filmmaker outside Nagasu Taxi. For the best filming result, follow this sequence: - “I'm here to end this, brother.” - “You're a vampire, right?” - Defeat the four enemies in this order: slicked-back hair, hat, yellow jacket, glasses. - “Let's see if you're really immortal or not.” - Finish the next six enemies with Heat Actions where possible. - “The Hazy Moon you stole from the boss was fake.” - Finish Yamashiro with a katana Heat Action. - “The boss is waiting for you in Hell.” Correct dialogue and combat performance determine the payment, up to ¥100,000. Save before starting rather than trying to remember a failed filming result later. FINALE 17. THE PERFECT SEASONING As Kiryu, visit Café Alps in Kamurocho and speak to the manager after the confrontation inside. This can begin in Finale Chapter 1, but finishing requires the Tatsuya restaurant work across the characters, including Akiyama's later Kamurocho work. Once those prerequisites are complete, Tatsuya contacts Kiryu or becomes available at Theater Square. Collect him there and return through the event. Café Alps gains Ultimate Neapolitan; order it afterward for food completion. 18. AMON: THE FINAL SUBSTORY Finish all 77 other listed entries across all five protagonists. Noa Amon is separate and is not required. Find the messenger outside New Serena and speak to him as Kiryu. Before accepting the trip, prepare all four men's individual inventories, equipment, training, and restaurant health, then save separately. The fight order is Akiyama against Kazuya, Saejima against Jiro, Shinada against Sango, and Kiryu against Jo. Use short openings with Akiyama; control Jiro's copies with Saejima; bring Shinada dependable weapons and avoid Sango's projectile phase; preserve Kiryu's healing for Jo's later powered-up phases. Win all four encounters to complete the final entry. You receive Amon's Sunglasses, and the all-substory completion unlock gives the Golden Pistol through the reward system. That is all 18. If Amon hasn't appeared, check the other four characters' lists rather than repeating Kiryu's finished entries. The final trigger depends on everyone.
