Yakuza 4 Remastered: Akiyama's substories Akiyama has sixteen substories. Several run through Sky Finance and depend on Hana, so I would do the available ones before pushing far into Part 1 Chapter 4. If you've already gone past that point, you can return during finale or Premium Adventure cleanup and use Sky Finance's reminisce option for the earlier Hana-related situation. I'm grouping these by when they first open and putting the important prerequisites and answers directly in the route. The number beside each name matches its position in Akiyama's substory list, rather than an order you must follow blindly. Chapter 2, after the first meeting with Lily 3. Layoff Already Walk through Tenkaichi Alley near the blue building with the fish sign to receive Hana's call. Return to Sky Finance and hear Shiobara out. Work through the proposed tests; the important assignment is helping a leaflet business on western Shichifuku Street. Check on it west of M Store, then find Shiobara in Children's Park and defeat his angry former employee. This starts a much longer chain and awards a weapon-design item. 4. The Apprentice After Layoff Already, find Shiobara just south of Sky Finance on the east side of the street. Agree to the apprenticeship and return to the office events. When the client's husband turns up, defeat him. Finish the office conversation before looking for the next part of the chain. 8. Gourmet Reporter Help the man collapsed outside Kotobuki Drugs, then meet him at Earth Angel. For the yakiniku questions, answer Kanrai, Grade A Sirloin and Grade A Harami. Leave the district and return for his reward and the ramen assignment. The second set is Kyushu No. 1 Star, pork bone stock and spicy roe. Leave and return once more to collect the final reward. Correct answers earn two ¥50,000 payments and a Diamond. 9. Art of Scouting Speak to the scout outside Elise. You need three recruits within five minutes. An efficient route is the woman in a pink coat and sunglasses at the Tenkaichi Alley corner, the woman in a black hat near Café Alps, and the woman opposite her in a yellow skirt and denim jacket. Tell the black-hat woman she's cute; tell the yellow-skirt woman this might be her dream job. Other recruits can work, but some trigger fights and waste time. Save first if you want a clean timed attempt. 12. Pimp My Otaku Talk to Taniguchi just west of Elise's entrance. Leave the area and find him again by the Millennium Tower bus shelter. Go shopping with him, then during the club practice tell him to pay attention to what she's saying. Finish this before looking for Hostess Training later. The reward includes the Shiny Shine! Love Shine! design. 14. How to Spend Money Find the woman arguing with a lender outside the southern Tenkaichi Matsuya. Send her to Sky Finance and hear her request. Once she takes the spending test, check Le Marche, Sushi Gin and the Adam host club in the Hotel District, north of the batting center. Deal with the fight at Adam, then return to the office. Checking only the map-labeled shops won't advance the story; Adam is the easy stop to overlook. 16. Akiyama vs. Hostess Clubs Meet Minamizawa outside MEB, then visit Rio at Shine and Noa and Erena at Jewel at least once each. Report to him at Cuez Bar, leaving and returning between reports. Rio: Rosé Champagne; a dog; pin-up model. Noa: ballet; Chicken Basket; good drivers. Erena: secretly sensitive rich men; Kyoto; Yamazaki 12 Years. You can earn ¥30,000 per correct three-answer report. You don't need to complete all three hostess romances for this substory. Chapter 3, after the outing with Lily 1. The Fate of the 30 Million Yen Finish How to Spend Money, then speak to the man at Sky Finance's stairs. Hear his kidnapping claim and give him the test. After his later call, collect the money at the office and meet him at the Taihei lockers. Accompany the exchange. When Hana's information makes the story look suspicious, check Children's Park, then Le Marche. Follow the trail up Senryo Avenue, to the east side of Theater Square, then the Hotel District taxi driver. Enter the indicated hotel north of the batting center and win the fight. If the first man isn't appearing, clear competing Sky Finance events and return. 15. Lonely Hana-chan Finish The Fate of the 30 Million Yen first. Pass Kanrai, then return to Sky Finance with the lunch idea. Akiyama has to check all four leads, so the order of the initial choices isn't a trap. Visit MEB, the area south of Nakamichi's Club SEGA, the east side of Theater Square and Elise's manager. Then listen to the nearby suited man, find the scout in black and glasses at southern Pink Street, and take him back to Hana. 2. Counterfeit Bills After Lonely Hana-chan, return to Sky Finance. Take Hana's sketch and investigate Sushi Gin, the employee near the door at Nakamichi Alley's Poppo, Volcano's male counter attendant and the man in a white cap near the Park Boulevard taxi. Walk around until the call arrives, find the suspect at southern Pink Street and win the chase. Finish at the docks at night. If it's daytime, that last step has to wait. 5. The Apprentice: Part 2 Complete The Apprentice, then visit southeast Theater Square for the encounter with Arima. Return to Sky Finance. After the office events and the customer's call, go just east of M Store on Shichifuku, speak to the man using his phone and enter the indicated office by elevator. Win the fight and finish the conversation. 6. A Wife's Concern After The Apprentice: Part 2, return to the office and hear Setsuko's request. Follow the call from Elise's manager, meet Arima outside the club and defeat his group inside. This is the next link needed for Tricks of the Trade. 10. Make It Big with FX Once Lily has been sent to Elise, visit Sky Finance's stairs for the trading-company text. Find the promoter off the southeastern end of Senryo Avenue. Ask whether the company profits and whether you can recover the investment regardless of what happens, then decline. Defeat the four attackers for the reward. This is an in-game scam investigation, not a real investing minigame. Chapter 4 7. Tricks of the Trade Finish A Wife's Concern, then meet Shiobara near the Tenkaichi gate. The trading route is cigarette → stomach medicine → concert tickets → business card → watch. Give the cigarette to the yakuza near the park, the medicine to the older man in purple on Nakamichi, the tickets to the pair at the Tenkaichi gate, and the card to the man in black on the east side of Theater Square. Return to conclude the competition. 11. Beware of Impostors After Counterfeit Bills, talk to the man in white near the Taihei/Theater Avenue junction, east of Matsuya. Follow up with the woman in glasses farther north on Theater Avenue, then head to Park Alley. The red-suited man directs you to the fake office. Go upstairs and finish the fight. Hana is involved, so remember the temporary availability restriction if you're doing this late. 13. Hostess Training Finish Pimp My Otaku, then speak to Elise's manager outside. This is Miki's substory, separate from the three-woman Hostess Maker management activity. The answers are: be more open; ask for his favorite dish; create a domestic atmosphere; take out your wallet as though you're going to pay. Finish the conversation to close Akiyama's list. If you're stuck at fifteen, compare the names rather than just running between question marks. Counterfeit Bills often needs nighttime, the Shiobara stories have a strict chain, and Hostess Training is not automatically completed by making someone number one in Hostess Maker.
