Yakuza Kiwami 3: phone accessories that help with the collectible hunt
Kiryu's phone accessories do more than change its appearance. You can equip one antenna, up to three straps, and one lock screen. That last limit matters: the useful map-detection screens cannot both be active at once.
Get these two lock screens first
Mame Lock Screen: Purchase it for 300,000 in Morning Glory shop funds. It displays loose coin-locker keys on the map. Morning Glory's shop uses the funds earned through its requests and sales, so having the same amount in Kiryu's normal wallet is not the same thing.
Lala Aizawa Lock Screen: Make 50 LaLaLa Friends, then collect the reward from Lala. It marks Loveboxes on the map. Look for the starred icons when you are hunting the gold boxes that contain keys.
Switch between them while exploring. In each city, the A5–J5 keys are inside gold Loveboxes. They will not become loose-key markers just because Mame is equipped.
Useful accessories you can collect along the way
Strawberry Antenna: Open Ryukyu locker E1. Its key is in the passage between Goin' My Way and Smile Burger. The antenna slowly restores HP when health is low.
Snake Jar Antenna: Open Ryukyu locker G5. The key comes from the gold Lovebox above the Heaven's Golf elevator on E Ryukyu Boulevard. Its effect makes Heat Break easier.
Majima Construction Helmet Antenna: Open Kamurocho locker D5. Find its gold Lovebox on the pipes behind New Serena. This antenna lets Dragon of Dojima style guard against gunfire.
Downtown Ryukyu Lock Screen: Open Ryukyu locker I5. The key is in the gold Lovebox behind the northern Kariyushi Arcade entrance sign. The screen improves the chance of good items from briefcases in Ryukyu.
Kamurocho Lock Screen: Open Kamurocho locker G5. Find the gold Lovebox at Club Jewel's sign on Shichifuku Street. This screen improves the chance of good items from Kamurocho briefcases.
Those two city screens are useful after a collectible sweep. During the sweep, keep Mame or Lala Aizawa equipped so you do not trade away the map information you need.
Keep the different collection systems separate
LaLaLa Friends are made by targeting people using the app and sending the Red Thread of Fate. Repeated interactions raise an existing person's relationship gauge. If you are trying to reach the 50-friend detector reward, look for people you have not added yet.
Loveboxes use the same phone interaction, but they are containers. Gold boxes have one-time rewards. Ordinary boxes refill as you open more of them. A refill is useful for supplies, but it does not mean a new key has appeared.
Foto Rally uses the camera. Each target has to register as a valid shot, shown by its green camera icon. Completing both cities provides six sushi- and mahjong-themed phone straps, alongside the rally's other rewards.
Lockers require the matching key, and the two cities have separate banks. “G5” on its own is not a unique location: Ryukyu G5 gives the Snake Jar Antenna, while Kamurocho G5 gives the Kamurocho Lock Screen.
If you use that distinction when checking a guide, you avoid one of the easiest ways to chase the wrong reward in the wrong city.
