Yakuza Kiwami 3: Bad Boy Dragon
All right, Bad Boy Dragon needs its own explanation because there are a few different things being mixed together here. You're building the Haisai Girls, improving the people in your squads, and fighting through their storyline. Winning a normal street battle and completing a big Turf War aren't the same thing.
Build the team before forcing the next mission
Recruit the marked characters around town and help the people who need a fight resolved first. Some recruits have Infamy requirements, so circle back when your rank improves. Substories and other activities also feed characters into the gang.
New recruits help your Infamy, and improving your roster keeps that number moving. If a mission is beating you up, check its recommended strength before deciding you need to keep retrying it with the exact same team.
Use the shop upgrades. The bike gives you more options during Turf Wars, while the uniform upgrades improve your allies' finishers. The flag helps your leaders survive and recover. Rally upgrades improve the value of your training sessions. .
What goes in each squad
Think about who is leading the group, not just who has the biggest attack number. Each squad has a leader and four other members. If that leader goes down and retreats, you lose the entire squad's help. A durable leader with a useful mixture of damage and healing around them is a safer foundation than throwing all your favorite attackers together.
Keep an eye on Tsubasa's group in particular. You can be personally winning your fight while your overall position falls apart somewhere else. The game gives you these allies for a reason; don't disappear into one corner and assume they'll survive everything on their own. .
Street battles, Turf Wars, and Total Annihilation
Street Baddies Battles bring five allies with you. Use those fights to build experience and fill recruitment requirements between the bigger missions.
In a Turf War, follow the capture objectives and deal with the leaders defending each area. Staying to hit every ordinary enemy after you could already be advancing wastes time and gives the other fights more time to go wrong.
Total Annihilation is the full clear. Deal with dangerous leaders early, but remember that the ordinary enemies still have to go too. Keep reading the actual objective instead of carrying the Turf War habit into an arena that wants everyone defeated.
Use the baddie weapons when you need them. Crowd damage can break an ugly pileup, while healing support can save a weakening squad. Hoarding every resource through a failed attempt doesn't help you finish it. , .
Level caps and training
Uniform Buttons raise a member's level cap. The progression is Jou to thirty, Toku to forty, then Kiwami to fifty. You can't jump straight past the earlier cap upgrade just because you found the better button.
Meetings train your active squads; rallies reach the wider gang. Put the members you actually want to develop into the active lineup before spending a meeting ticket. Once Haisai greetings are unlocked, collect those points around the base between Rumbles and use the exchange instead of ignoring another supply of training tickets. .
When are you finished?
Finish the Bad Boy Dragon story, then clear the optional missions if you're going for everything. Infamy Rank 10 and story completion are separate things to check. The broader completion list also goes beyond the basic trophy milestones, including recruitment, repeated battles, training events, and weapon use.
My approach would be to clear each new mission, recruit and upgrade between attempts, and keep a running check on the optional battles. That avoids the annoying situation where the story is over but you still have a weak bench and a pile of untouched side missions. Don't remove this activity from your cleanup list just because you saw its story ending.
