Yakuza Kiwami 3: Morning Glory All right, this is one of the parts of Kiwami 3 I wanted to give its own space. Morning Glory has a whole progression system around taking care of the kids, keeping the place running, and helping Haruka. If you're trying to finish everything here, just cooking a few meals won't cover it. Start working on it when the activities open in Chapter 3. The useful order is to get the garden producing, keep the animals fed, complete requests, and use the gaps between harvests to work on the kids' bonds. That lets several things move forward together instead of leaving yourself with hours of one repeated activity at the end. Getting the cooking story finished Cooking requests move the Morning Glory story forward. Your Daddy Rank opens the next request, but you still need the ingredients and enough likes from the cooking sections. These are the big family requests, so don't mix their shopping lists up with the smaller bentos you can make afterward. - Rank 1: Dragon Curry. Have two each of potatoes, onions, rice, and carrots. Earn at least three likes. - Rank 2: Dragon Champloo. Have five potatoes, ten carrots, fifteen tomatoes, twenty goya, three eggs, five tiger prawns, five flounder, five rice, and eight meat. Three likes. - Rank 3: Dragon Hamburg Steak. Have fifteen onions, thirty spinach, twenty daikon, five eggs, five milk, five salmon, seven scorpionfish, ten rice, and fifteen meat. Three likes. - Rank 4: Dragon Sushi. Have twenty daikon, thirty cabbage, ten salmon, ten bonito, fifteen sea bream, ten eel, three marlin, ten rice, ten sugar, and ten seaweed. Three likes. - Rank 5: Dragon Peking Duck. Have thirty cabbage, thirty pumpkin, ten eggs, ten milk, three bluefin tuna, two oarfish, ten rice, twenty meat, ten sugar, and three pineapple. Four likes. - Rank 6: Haruka's Surprise Party. Put aside fifty strawberries, twenty each of eggs, milk, and sugar, fifteen pineapple, fifteen meat, and pumpkin. Published guides disagree between twenty and thirty pumpkin, so reserve thirty and check the request screen before spending the surplus. Six likes. The request rewards arrive in pairs: Curry and Champloo finish the first stage; Hamburg Steak and Sushi finish the second; Peking Duck and the surprise party finish the last. Watch the scenes after cooking so the story completion registers. , . Making the ingredients manageable Invest in the garden early. Crops have soil requirements and different footprints, so upgrading scattered plots without looking at the crop layout can leave you unable to plant what you actually need. There are eight plots once everything is unlocked. Soil goes up to level five. Keep the higher-level crop requirements in mind when choosing which adjacent plots to improve. Harvest notifications are worth responding to. Take the produce, replant, and go do something else while the next batch grows. Use scarecrows for their crop-protection and harvest benefits. Feed the livestock before leaving; eggs, milk, and fertilizer arrive over time. More chickens and cows are available through the shop, so build that supply before the later recipes start asking for larger quantities. . Keep checking the request board before selling everything. A request can turn the same ingredients into funds and useful rewards, and the store has its own progression. Morning Glory funds are separate from Kiryu's ordinary spending money. Buying vegetables around town just to sell them here is an expensive way to raise that balance. Grow, catch, or make your stock instead, and use the Neighborhood Shop for ingredients you need to buy. Once you have enough ingredients reserved for the next family meal, sell the excess or fill requests. Repeated sales raise an item's selling level, improving its price. Reinvest in production first. The expensive phone screens and other optional rewards will still be there when your little economy is running properly. . The cooking controls Don't panic because a recipe has several rounds. You need the combined likes, not a perfect performance on every single section. - Cutting: follow the changing button sequence. Read the next input instead of hammering the previous one. - Cooking: watch the pans and flip when the food signals that it's ready. Keep track of which pieces landed first. - Seasoning: hold and release to keep the marker in the scoring zone. The zone moves, and pushing right to the top wastes time. - Eggs: press the indicated directional and face-button inputs together. - Mixing: follow the stick movement shown, including changes in direction or motion. - Skimming: clear the floating scum efficiently, taking clustered pieces together where possible. Practice the action you struggle with through ordinary cooking rather than repeatedly gathering an entire late-game family request. . Finishing the kids' stories The eight bonds here belong to Taichi, Koji, Shiro, Mitsuo, Ayako, Riona, Eri, and Izumi. Do the family meals alongside those bonds because the meals already add relationship progress. Homework is a straightforward repeatable option when you need to catch one child up. Bug-catching contests can move several bonds at once. Check the glowing character icons. Those conversations are progression gates; a full-looking meter doesn't mean you can ignore the next scene. Keep doing their activities, talk whenever a new conversation appears, and finish each child's final Family Time event. . For the actual final events, here's the short version without retelling every scene: - Taichi: continue his sumo and training storyline through the rematch. The story outcome isn't a failed objective. - Koji: finish the baseball-team conversations about how he treats his teammates. - Shiro: follow the situation with his friend and complete the confrontation with the friend's father. - Mitsuo: help with his clothes and Riona. The outfit choice doesn't lock you out of completion. - Ayako: follow the running storyline and complete the race sequence with Kiryu. - Riona: follow the fashion and makeup outing, then win the encounter that interrupts it. - Eri: finish the outing, including its activities and final confrontation. - Izumi: follow Mame to find her and finish the rescue fight. These are separate from the cooking story. Finish all eight rather than assuming Haruka's party closes everything at the orphanage. . Sewing and the pets For sewing, treat the needle like you're driving around a course. Speed up on the straight sections and slow before the bend, not after you've already crossed the line. Watch the little course overview so a tight turn doesn't surprise you. A clean route with controlled speed is easier to improve than a fast run full of corrections. Each child's item gives you another reason to work through the different patterns. . Mame isn't the only pet relationship. Mugi and Panzy become available through the Neighborhood Shop. Interact with all three if you're filling the broader completion list; those interactions also contribute Daddy experience. . My practical checklist for this whole section is: finish every family cooking request, finish all eight children's events, keep raising Daddy Rank and the store, then clean up the remaining activity and pet entries you're actually pursuing. Keep checking the completion list as you go. That way you know exactly what is left instead of assuming one big cutscene means the entire place is finished.
