Yakuza Kiwami 3: all 31 substories This is for the 2026 remake. The original Yakuza 3 and Yakuza 3 Remastered have different substory lists and requirements. The chapter shown is the earliest unlock. Check the speech-bubble icons on the map as you progress. A few chains need you to leave and return, or advance Bad Boy Dragon, before the next part appears. Jo Amon is a postgame fight in Premium Adventure. 1. Connected By LaLaLa Love Chapter 1 | Kamurocho, Taihei Boulevard by Millennium Tower This is the automatic phone introduction during the opening story. Follow the tutorial and connect with Lala Aizawa. That finishes the substory and unlocks LaLaLa Loveland and phone customization. No separate hunt or prerequisite. 2. Love’s Cupid Chapter 2, daytime | Ryukyu, outside Smile Burger Talk to Hiroshi blocking the entrance. Hear him out, identify the young woman he likes, then give whatever dating advice you want. Take his letter inside to the counter. Win the fight that follows to finish. The advice does not lock you out of completion. 3. So Fast, Soba Delivery Run! Chapter 2 | Ryukyu, soba stall by the Public Market Offer to help the arguing staff, get the delivery memo, then start the five-minute run. Deliver to Maeda Drugs, Maa-san’s Juice, Jewelry and Styley, Goin’ My Way and Poppo on East Ryukyu Boulevard. The two household orders are the catch: shout at Higa’s place in north Hatsumachi, but whisper at Chinen’s in south Hatsumachi. Wrong addresses waste time, and the wrong volume at Chinen’s can cost that delivery. Finish the run and return to the stall. All seven correct earns ¥10,000 and Staminan X. Four to six earns ¥5,000; three or fewer earns Toughness Z. 4. Master Kame Hit Me Chapter 2 | Morning Glory Beach, east side Speak to the man in the turtle outfit. Master Kame Hit Me Returns Chapter 2 | Same beach | Finish #4 Leave the area and return for the rematch. Entry is ¥10,000, the reward ¥50,000. You still need one hit in 30 seconds. Keep close and force him to dodge until he tires; he takes longer to run out of steam now. 6. Master Kame Hit Me: Endgame Chapter 2 | Same beach | Finish #5, leave and return again Pay ¥30,000 for the final round, with ¥100,000 for winning. Same one-hit challenge, less room for wasted movement. Stay close and attack continuously to force dodges until he tires. Be ready to connect immediately. 7. Excuse Me! Chapter 2 | Ryukyu, northwest Hatsumachi Street Walk into the group to trigger their injury scam. Refuse payment to get straight to the fight, then beat all three. Other responses still lead to combat. You receive ¥30,000 and open the next part. 8. Excuse Me Again! Chapter 2 | Same Hatsumachi spot | Finish #7 Speak to the con men when they target an older man. Step in and beat the trio again. The reward is Magatama Strap (White). Check the area again for the final part once its next conditions are met. 9. Well, Excuse YOU! Chapter 2 | Same Hatsumachi spot | Finish #8; progress the Bad Boy Dragon introduction Return at night, clearing any Baddie Battle occupying the spot. Defend Oka from the three men to unlock the Street Surfer Mk. 0. 12. Life is Precious Chapter 3 | Ryukyu, Inari Bridge, south of Aqua Sky Speak to the woman on the bridge, ask what happened and work through the conversation. Do the same when the man arrives, then defeat the scammers. Wrong dialogue choices do not ruin the substory. Rewards: Mystical Moisturizer and Timid Woman as a Haisai recruit. 13. The Sweetest Treat Chapter 3 | Ryukyu, outside Hibiscus Ice Cream Help the injured woman deliver ice cream to her children outside Hatsumachi Poppo. You have 90 seconds. Watch for cars, wait for openings around the sumo wrestlers and avoid the exercising group. Spilling sends you back to the start; repeated failures eventually advance the scene anyway. Finish the family reunion to recruit Reiko. 14. Big City Dreams Chapter 3 | Ryukyu, outside Hatsumachi Poppo Watch the father and daughter argue, then speak with Mamoru. Find Hina near the East Ryukyu Boulevard Poppo/plaza and hear her out. Return to Mamoru, then revisit Hina’s location. Defeat the men harassing her to finish. Keep at It, Parents! Chapter 4 | Morning Glory’s front yard | Finish #15 Find Mame where Kiryu buried the magazine and interact with him. Follow the chase through Ryukyu, responding to the on-screen prompts. The closing scene finishes the substory; there is no separate combat encounter or reward to collect. 17. Anything for Mama’s Love Chapter 4 | Kamurocho, alley southeast of Senryo Avenue Talk to Masahiko at the ramen stall, try his food and agree to pose as a regular customer for his mother’s visit. Date-san’s Pride Chapter 6 | Kamurocho, New Serena The opening conversation triggers when you leave New Serena. Go back inside and speak to Mama. The next stage requires Bad Boy Dragon to be available in Kamurocho. Return afterward, speak to the injured man outside and follow the rescue sequence with Date. Defeat Tsukishima’s men to finish. New Serena Mama joins the Haisai Girls. 30. A Star’s Debut at Stardust Chapter 6 | Kamurocho, Stardust on Tenkaichi Street Speak to Kazuki and agree to cover the missing host. Choose a stage name, then help at two tables. Your conversation choices do not change the final reward. Beat the troublemakers who arrive afterward. You get ¥10,000, Illuminated Antenna (Rainbow) and Kazuki and Yuya as recruits. 31. A Challenger Arrives! Jo Amon! Premium Adventure | Secluded Mountain Arena, reached by taxi Win all nine Coliseum tournaments, including the Championship Match, then enter Premium Adventure after finishing the main story. Leave Purgatory and check your messages. Once Jo’s challenge arrives, take a taxi to the mountain arena. Wins are enough; top ranks are unnecessary. Before the fight Upgrade your health and attack, learn Miya’s techniques and stock up on healing and Heat-restoring items. Make a separate save before travelling. Ryukyu Style should be your default because its defensive tools answer Amon’s ranged attacks. Use Dragon Boost for damage when you have a real opening rather than spending it chasing a teleport. The part that makes the fight take forever Watch his aura. Heat Actions do very little while it is active. Break it, then spend Heat during the opening. Perfect Guard his gunfire twice to reflect the bullets and remove the aura. When he creates the tornado, face him and use Miyazato Style: Dashing Iron Heart to charge through and knock him out of it. These are damage opportunities, not just attacks to survive. How to handle each stage 1. Opening melee: Perfect Guard or evade the short combos, then punish. Do not hold block through every finisher. If he flips behind you with the spear, dodge away. 2. Gun phase: Use Ryukyu’s bullet reflection. Once his aura breaks, close in and attack. 3. Tornado phase: Use Dashing Iron Heart through the wind. The counter also restores Heat and Boost. 4. Second health bar: Watch for three red sword waves. They cannot be guarded. Evade rather than trying to trade damage. 5. Final mix: He combines the earlier attacks with new moves. Roll away from the rushing Deadly attack. Perfect Guard the delayed sword-draw attack to stop its healing. Avoid sitting in guard long enough to invite a grab. Keep bleed active with Ryukyu combos where possible, and heal before a bad exchange can finish you. The late red attacks are the danger point, so stop attacking when their tell starts. If you only want the clear, lowering the difficulty is an option. Beating Jo completes #31. Defying Fate also requires the separate Amon Riders battle in Bad Boy Dragon. That battle is not another numbered substory.
