Yakuza Kiwami 2: Platinum and all achievements All right, next is the completion run for Kiwami 2. This one gives you more freedom to clean things up than 0 did, but there are several places where the trophy description and the Completion List are asking for different things. I want to get those out of the way before somebody finishes a long grind and finds out it wasn't the requirement they thought it was. This covers Kiwami 2, not the original Yakuza 2. The checked PS4 and PS5 lists have 59 trophies, including the platinum. Achievement totals can differ between platform releases, so use the names and requirements below rather than assuming every version has the same total. [PS4 list](https://exophase.com/game/yakuza-kiwami-2-psn/trophies/), [PS5 list](https://exophase.com/game/yakuza-kiwami-2-psn-2/trophies/) There are no permanently missable trophies in the standard Kiwami 2 roadmap. You do need a full Legend playthrough, but you can use New Game Plus for it. There are no Climax Battles to finish in this game. [Roadmap and missability](https://playstationtrophies.org/forum/topic/304158-yakuza-kiwami-2-trophy-guide-and-roadmap/) The order I would use Finish the story on your preferred difficulty. Work on substories, training, food, and the businesses as they open, but don't force yourself to finish every activity before moving the story forward. Keep separate saves, especially before the finale. Play the three-chapter Majima Saga after the main story. It has separate save data. Completing it earns The Majima Factor; you don't have to reproduce Kiryu's whole completion run with Majima. Then use your clear data for Premium Adventure. That is your cleanup file for the substories, businesses, minigames, Haruka's requests, skills, and optional combat. Once Kiryu is fully prepared, start a separate New Game Plus on Legend from the developed file. Keep the completion file. New Game Plus carries money, experience, equipment, stats, abilities, and much of the Completion List, but it resets substories and the business storylines. Accidentally turning your only cleanup file into a new story run is unnecessary work. [Clear data and carryover](https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/218734-yakuza-kiwami-2/faqs/76366/new-game-and-premium-adventure) Dragon of Legend requires the entire main story on Legend. Loading a save before the final fight and changing the difficulty is not a shortcut for this one. [Legend requirement](https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/218734-yakuza-kiwami-2/faqs/76366/trophies-achievements) Story trophies These unlock from completing the chapters: Chapter 1: The Dojima Legacy. Chapter 2: Fireworks. Chapter 3: Enemies on All Sides. Chapter 4: A Contest of Kings. Chapter 5: Secrets Long Buried. Chapter 6: Shots Fired. Chapter 7: Caught in the Act. Chapter 8: Prisoner of Shangri-La. Chapter 9: Honor and Betrayal. Chapter 10: Sotenbori Lights. Chapter 11: Creed of Hatred. Chapter 12: Tiger Drop. Chapter 13: Demon, Killer, Father. Chapter 14: There Can Only Be One Dragon. Chapter 15: Dragon's Blood. The final chapter awards Thank You! [Chapter trophies](https://truetrophies.com/game/yakuza-kiwami-2/trophies) The trophy called Tiger Drop is for finishing Chapter 12. It does not mean you've learned the counterattack. Those are separate things. Substories and Amon Tell Me a Story requires ten finished substories. Hero of the Story requires thirty. Story of My Life requires all 75, including the four Amon encounters. Buy Substory Finder in Life Skills. It helps reveal available encounters, but a marker won't solve an unfinished prerequisite. Some stories depend on other stories, progress through Four Shine, specific companions, or reaching later chapters. If something isn't available yet, check those conditions before circling the same street again. The final substories become available from Chapter 13. Finish the other 71 to open the Amon sequence, then defeat Kazuya, Jiro, Sango, and Jo. Completing Jo's Ultimate Assassin substory earns Amon Defeated and finishes the all-substories requirement. [Substory and Amon requirements](https://trophies.de/forum/thema/152890-troph%C3%A4en-leitfaden-yakuza-kiwami-2/) Prepare before accepting those fights. Develop Kiryu's stats, buy useful combat abilities, repair weapons, bring recovery items, and make a separate save. The Amon substories allow item use; the later Bouncer Missions involving Amons have different restrictions. Don't assume the rules from one carry over to the other. Jo's defeat also matters beyond those two trophies. It opens the way to the final Coliseum tournament, provides the Book of Ultimate Secrets, and makes Kamiyama's ¥9,990,000 Weaponomicon available. Use the books and then buy the unlocked abilities. Obtaining the book alone isn't the same as learning the move. [Jo's rewards](https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/218734-yakuza-kiwami-2/faqs/76366/chapter-13-substories) Stats and skills Life of the Dragon, Strength of the Dragon, Vitality of the Dragon, and Heat of the Dragon require Health, Attack, Defense, and Heat Gauge to reach a natural 180. Equipment bonuses don't count toward those base-stat requirements. Keep raising all four to 200. That unlocks the final Limit Break upgrades. Buy one for Limit Breaker, then raise all four stats to 300 for Peak Kiryu. You can't leave three stats underdeveloped and force the fourth all the way to 300 first. [Stat progression](https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/218734-yakuza-kiwami-2/faqs/76366/stats-and-abilities) Battle Skills Master, Heat Action Master, and Life Skills Master are for purchasing every skill in their respective categories. Skill Master is the combined all-skills goal. Some abilities remain locked until you complete training, read a technique primer, watch the relevant video, finish a substory, or clear an activity. Four late unlocks to remember: - Every Street Boss: Triple Quickstep. - Every Coliseum tournament: Strong Charge Attack Mastery. - Every Bouncer Mission: Essence of the Brawling God. - All substories, then the Weaponomicon from Kamiyama: Weapon Mastery. These unlock the ability to purchase the skills. Check the skill menu afterward and actually spend the experience. [Special skill requirements](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3726966459) The experience comes in five categories, so look at the cost of the skill you're missing. Restaurants are useful for filling specific shortages. Purchase the experience-gain and digestion improvements as you develop Kiryu, and use AppStim items to make room when food is your main source of experience. Don't spend all your money on repeated meals while ignoring the upgrade that would improve the return. [Experience planning](https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/218734-yakuza-kiwami-2/faqs/82093/exp-tips) Weapon Master has a misleading detail Weapon Master requires 100 enemies defeated with weapons from your inventory. Random bicycles and signs picked up from the street do not reliably satisfy that trophy counter, even though they can advance the broader Completion List weapon requirement. Use a weapon you've equipped and drawn from an inventory slot. If you pick up a weapon you can keep, put it away, assign it to a slot, then draw it again before using it for this grind. Finish enemies with the weapon rather than only damaging them with it. Bouncer Missions provide plenty of opportunities to build the count. [Weapon Master tracking](https://trueachievements.com/a304910/weapon-master-achievement) Street Bosses Champion of the City requires all 18. The system starts in Chapter 5. Each city separately tracks groups of Delinquents, Thugs, and Yakuza. A boss appears after five, ten, and fifteen defeated groups of each type. That means fifteen groups of each category in Kamurocho and fifteen of each in Sotenbori, with the bosses themselves defeated as they appear. Watch your messages and map. If the last boss won't show up, fighting fifty more groups of the wrong enemy type won't help. The Completion List stops at ten Street Bosses, but the trophy and Triple Quickstep require all eighteen. [Spawn conditions](https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/218734-yakuza-kiwami-2/faqs/76366/street-bosses) Coliseum Half Performance, Half Raw Power requires winning every tournament. Return to the Underground Coliseum in Purgatory after its Chapter 5 introduction, earn points to increase your rank, and clear each newly available event. Two unlock conditions are easy to overlook: Tournament of Legends depends on finishing the Clan Creator story, and Tournament of Darkness depends on completing all substories. Keep working through those activities instead of assuming more Coliseum points alone will reveal everything. Heal before entering. Normal optional tournaments restrict recovery items, and you start with the health you bring in. Check the individual event's equipment rules. When weapons and gear are allowed, take advantage of them; when the rules require bare-handed combat, prepare for that instead. Winning a tournament doesn't give you a complete health refill for the next one. [Tournament rules and unlocks](https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/218734-yakuza-kiwami-2/faqs/76366/coliseum) Bouncer Missions You're Not Welcome requires all 26 missions on Normal, Hard, and Legend, for 78 clears. The Completion List only asks for twenty. The word Legend here refers to the mission difficulty, not the main-story Legend trophy. In Chapter 5, speak to the man on the eastern side of Theater Square, then visit Club Debolah and talk to the bartender. That starts the Bouncer activity through substory 42. You cannot use healing items during these missions. Enter fully healed, bring repaired weapons and appropriate defensive equipment, and don't rush past enemies who can shoot you in the back. Use the mission-selection screen to track the difficulty clears. Finishing a higher-difficulty version isn't permission to assume every lower entry is marked complete. [Bouncer rules](https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/218734-yakuza-kiwami-2/faqs/76366/bouncer-missions), [78-clear requirement](https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/218734-yakuza-kiwami-2/76958726) Four Shine Shine, Shine, Four Shine comes from joining the club during Chapter 4. A New Champion is Born! requires winning the first league championship. Legends of the Nightlife requires finishing the full Four Shine storyline, including its final championship. Your league ranking uses the best net earnings from a single shift, rather than a lifetime total. Improve your roster and make business partnerships, then earn enough in one night to challenge the current champion. Once the challenge is available, choose the championship instead of continuing to run ordinary ranking matches. [Grand Prix progression](https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/218734-yakuza-kiwami-2/faqs/76366/grand-prix-battles) An Eye for Talent needs thirty registered hostesses. Use the scouting option, win league battles, and recruit the women who appear outside Four Shine after relevant substories. Finishing their substory does not always place them directly into your roster; speak to them at the club. Be True to Yourself involves the platinum-hostess conversations. The six to work through are Koyuki, Kana, Aika, Shoko, Yua, and Kirara. Dinner invitations become available at levels 10, 20, and 30, shown by the pink glass icon when you walk around the club. Keep completing those dinners and the following personal substories even if the trophy appears before all the conversations are done, because the all-substories trophy still needs them. [Dinner progression](https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/218734-yakuza-kiwami-2/faqs/76366/preparing-your-platinums) Majima Construction My Boss is Crazy comes from joining Majima Construction. Let's Build Some Hills requires finishing the Clan Creator storyline. Majima Construction Benefits requires a roster of more than fifty workers. Recruit through the story, recruitment flyers, substories, Street Bosses, and Coliseum encounters. Some potential employees have to be spoken to after you've fulfilled their condition. Revisit defeated fighters and completed-substory characters rather than assuming the game has already hired them. [Employee recruitment](https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/218734-yakuza-kiwami-2/faqs/76366/construction-employees) Majima Construction Foreman is a mission-clear score above 200,000. It is not money sitting in your wallet or an amount of deployment funds you need to hoard. The later story missions give you a much better opportunity than trying to force that score out of an early short battle. Protect the equipment, keep your workers alive, and use their support skills. [Score requirement](https://dswiipspwikips3.jp/yakuza-kiwami2/cheats-data/trophies.html) Money, donations, lockers, and quick trophies Party Like it's 1988! requires holding more than ¥10 million at once. Lifetime earnings are a different counter. Let your balance pass that mark before making the big Weaponomicon purchase. Four Shine is useful for building the money you need. For the Children requires ¥1 million donated to Sunflower Orphanage. Start the Sunflower donation substory with Suenaga in Chapter 5, then use the convenience-store ATMs for further donations. Don't confuse the smaller amount needed to advance that substory with the trophy's full donation total. Coin Locker Conqueror requires opening all 100 lockers, fifty per city. Pick up Kamurocho E3 early to obtain the Locker Key Watcher, which sounds near other keys. Kamurocho's full set is obtainable by Chapter 8, while Sotenbori's final key, J4, comes from Stolen in Chapter 10. [Locker requirements](https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/218734-yakuza-kiwami-2/faqs/76366/locker-keys-kamurocho) A Taste for Japan requires eating at every restaurant. The Completion List goes further and asks you to finish the listed menus. Tourist Season needs ten photographs taken with Kiryu's phone. Repeat Offender requires three shop-destruction incidents during combat. Bring an encounter into a shop and break the interior until the customers leave; you don't have to ruin the same business all three times. [Miscellaneous trophy conditions](https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/218734-yakuza-kiwami-2/faqs/76366/trophies-achievements) Opening Up a Can needs you to drink every vending-machine type, not just buy it. There are 49 tracked entries, including thirteen Mystery Drink outcomes. Those outcomes are random, so repeatedly drinking Mystery Drinks is part of finishing the list. Check which entries remain before buying another batch of ordinary drinks you've already used. [Vending-machine requirements](https://trueachievements.com/a304927/opening-up-a-can-achievement) Movie Buff Watch all fifteen ordinary videos. Three are available by default, seven are sold at Beam, and five are sold by Kamiyama. Unlock Kamiyama through A Pervy Peddler, then check both shops. The Filipino Ace becomes available in Chapter 8 after the Hayashi fight. Buying the discs is only the first step. Watch them at Fusion in Kamurocho or Gandhara in Sotenbori. Super Kung Fu Man and The Filipino Ace also unlock tonfa and kali-stick abilities, which still have to be purchased with experience. The special videos used in substories don't replace the ordinary fifteen-video checklist. [Videos and ability unlocks](https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/218734-yakuza-kiwami-2/faqs/76366/video-shops) Minigames and Haruka What a Player means trying every minigame. That includes both Toylet games, UFO Catcher, Virtua Fighter 2, Virtual-On, batting, blackjack, poker, darts, koi-koi, oicho-kabu, golf, gravure photography, karaoke, mahjong, and shogi. You will also be playing the cabaret and construction activities as part of the larger run. [Minigame checklist](https://trueachievements.com/a304911/what-a-player-achievement) All Done requires more than participation. Finish the actual scores, wins, and other conditions in the Completion List. These are some of the sections that need attention: - Mahjong: win the required tables and both tournaments, complete thirty ron/tsumo wins, and earn 100,000 points. Save the three Peerless Tiles for situations where they save the most trouble, especially Against All Odds and the two tournaments. A tile doesn't clear the whole mahjong list. [Mahjong](https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/218734-yakuza-kiwami-2/faqs/76366/mahjong) - Batting: clear the Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Challenge Courses, and accumulate fifty home runs in Home Run Course. Use the Serene Bat if timing is giving you trouble. The pitches follow set patterns, so recording the next target is more useful than trying to improvise every swing. [Batting Center](https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/218734-yakuza-kiwami-2/faqs/76366/batting-center) - Golf: score 300 in each Closest to the Pin difficulty, sink a ball, and make three Bingo lines. Haruka later wants eight Bingo lines, which is a separate, higher target. Check the yard markings before copying an older shot chart because the newer release changed the meter's interval markings. [Golf](https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/218734-yakuza-kiwami-2/faqs/76366/golf-center) - Shogi: win without Take Backs. Darts: play every rule set, beat all rivals, win ten matches, and make five hat tricks. [Shogi](https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/218734-yakuza-kiwami-2/faqs/76366/shogi), [darts](https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/218734-yakuza-kiwami-2/faqs/76366/darts) - Arcade: use every character in Virtua Fighter 2 and every virtuaroid in Virtual-On. Clear Easy, Normal, and Hard in both Toylet games. Also finish the karaoke, UFO Catcher, gambling, and both gravure-model reward requirements shown in the list. [Minigame completion entries](https://neoseeker.com/yakuza-kiwami-2/walkthrough/CompletionList) Haruka's requests start when you can walk around with her in Chapter 13, and you can finish them in Premium Adventure. The Completion List needs 45 requests. Let her ask for the relevant activity before completing its requirement; an earlier score isn't a substitute for doing what she's currently requesting. If you want to avoid repeating minigames, combine their cleanup with your time walking around with her. [Haruka's requests](https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/218734-yakuza-kiwami-2/faqs/76366/harukas-requests) Finishing the Completion List Just Getting Started, Making Progress, and Maybe You Can Do It are the ten-, thirty-, and fifty-entry milestones. All Done is the full list across Adventure, Battle, Substories, Minigames, Clan Creator, and Cabaret Club. Some final targets that are easy to underestimate: 100 km traveled on foot, twenty taxi rides, ten food bonuses, thirty medicines used, 150 weapon defeats, ten Nouveau Riche enemies, fifty Extreme Heat activations, fifty Heat Actions, thirty different Heat Actions, thirty different weapons, thirty different pieces of gear, and thirty Coliseum battles. For the businesses, remember the smaller activity counters as well as the story: recruitment flyers, raising spirits, activating skills, training employees, scouting hostesses, dinners, partnerships, and makeover purchases. The cabaret purchases count different items, so buying the same dress for several hostesses won't finish a ten-dress requirement. [Completion counters](https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/218734-yakuza-kiwami-2/faqs/76366/completion-list) Use the detailed sublists where the game offers them. Check what is still blank instead of guessing from how much time you've spent. A trophy can unlock before a category is finished, and a category can finish before its associated trophy's higher target is met. Before starting Legend, I would want Kiryu's stats and important abilities developed, reliable weapons repaired, recovery stocked, and the completion save protected. After Legend, check for anything still missing: Majima Saga, all 75 substories, all skills and maximum stats, both businesses and their extra trophies, every tournament, all eighteen Street Bosses, all 78 Bouncer clears, miscellaneous trophies, and the entire Completion List. On PlayStation, earning the rest awards YAKUZA KIWAMI 2, the platinum. The important thing is to keep checking the actual requirements as you go. It is much easier to fix a missing counter when you know which activity it belongs to than after you've convinced yourself the whole game should already be finished.
