SCP-180: Identity Thieving Hat
SCP-180 can steal your identity and make people recognize a coffee table as you instead.
Put it on and even people who know you can't recognize you. They can describe basic features, but you can't convince them who you are. Put it on another person, animal, or object, and that becomes the thing they recognize as you.
The examples include dogs, statues, and furniture. So being physically nothing like the original person doesn't stop it.
The hat itself is misleading too. It can look like different hats or hair accessories, but scans show a worn piece of cloth resembling a veil or shroud. The file doesn't explain how the false images work.
The security problem is bad enough. Somebody could appear to belong in a restricted area while the actual person gets treated as a stranger.
But imagine trying to explain this to somebody who knows you. You're standing right there. You know who you are. They still can't recognize you, and explaining doesn't fix it.
A coffee table passing as a person sounds ridiculous until you remember what happened to the person whose identity it's wearing. They're the one nobody believes.
