SCP-178: "3-D" Specs SCP-178 takes those cheap cardboard 3-D glasses and makes looking around the room a very bad idea. Put them on and you can see large creatures that everyone else is missing. Sometimes they're simply watching people work or leaning over somebody's shoulder. Directly interacting with them is what turns the situation violent. The recovery scene makes that uncomfortable fast. An agent puts the glasses on and looks at an ordinary stereoscopic picture. Then he turns his head. There's a creature right beside his face, looking at the picture with him. The experiment log makes it worse. A person without the glasses is told where a creature is, tries to greet it, and gets attacked. Another subject notices creatures in the researchers' control room. They thought they were observing the dangerous part from somewhere separate. And removing the glasses isn't a guaranteed escape after you've made contact. One test subject takes them off, then gets attacked when the chamber door opens. That leaves everyone in a horrible position. Seeing something doesn't tell you how to deal with it. Being unable to see it doesn't mean it can't hurt you. Even somebody trying to explain where it is can give another person enough information to make a fatal mistake. The creatures' quiet curiosity makes it especially uncomfortable. They're interested in what people are doing. They can stand beside somebody and watch. You could put the glasses on expecting an empty room and discover you've had company the entire time. [Read SCP-178](https://t.co/zAQu97Rujr)
