Coffee Talk: every special drink and how to make it
Coffee Talk gives you a whole lot of different drinks to figure out, and the ingredient order matters. Having the right three ingredients isn't enough if you put them in the wrong slots.
This is for the first game. There are 30 special recipes in its Brewpad. I'm putting them all here, along with the plain drinks and custom orders you'll run into. These are the game's combinations, so follow the ingredients on the screen rather than trying to make them like you would in a real kitchen.
**How to read the recipes**
Start on the left and work across: base, primary ingredient, then secondary ingredient. Repeated ingredients are intentional. Espresso really is Coffee three times. Tea and Green Tea are separate ingredients.
Once you've discovered a special drink, check Brewpad on the phone so you can find it again. For filling out the collection, use Endless → Free Brew. Make and serve the missing recipes there instead of experimenting on somebody whose story you're trying to finish properly.
**Coffee: nine recipes**
- Espresso: Coffee → Coffee → Coffee.
- Cappuccino: Coffee → Coffee → Milk.
- Caffe Latte: Coffee → Milk → Milk.
- Black Lemon: Coffee → Coffee → Lemon.
- Jahe Tubruk: Coffee → Coffee → Ginger.
- Ginger Latte: Coffee → Ginger → Milk.
- Gingerbread Coffee: Coffee → Ginger → Cinnamon.
- Sugar and Spice: Coffee → Honey → Cinnamon.
- Black Magic: Coffee → Mint → Honey.
Cappuccino and Caffe Latte are easy to mix up. One uses two portions of coffee, and the other uses two portions of milk. Ginger Latte also needs Ginger before Milk. These combinations are checked against [Stevivor's first-game recipe list](https://t.co/Wo23J8cPK0).
**Tea: six recipes**
- Teh Tarik: Tea → Tea → Milk.
- Gala Had: Tea → Milk → Ginger.
- Shai Adeni: Tea → Milk → Cinnamon.
- Masala Chai: Tea → Ginger → Cinnamon.
- Russian Tea: Tea → Lemon → Cinnamon.
- Midsummer Night's Dream: Tea → Lemon → Honey.
For Gala Had, that middle ingredient is Milk. Don't substitute Honey. Russian Tea and Midsummer Night's Dream share their first two ingredients, so check the last one before you brew. The [Knoef recipe chart](https://t.co/0ElG5QiuwT) lists the tea combinations in that order.
**Green Tea: five recipes**
- Green Tea Latte: Green Tea → Milk → Milk.
- Cough Syrup: Green Tea → Lemon → Honey.
- Marrakech: Green Tea → Mint → Mint.
- Shin Genmaicha: Green Tea → Green Tea → Cinnamon.
- The Grinch: Green Tea → Ginger → Cinnamon.
Shin Genmaicha uses Cinnamon in the first game. Make sure you're following a first-game list when you look things up, because the sequel has recipe differences. Cough Syrup is just the name of an in-game drink. [First-game recipe reference](https://t.co/d2Doftao3m).
**Chocolate: five recipes**
- Dark Chocolate: Chocolate → Chocolate → Chocolate.
- Bitter Heart: Chocolate → Ginger → Cinnamon.
- Chocobee Miruku: Chocolate → Honey → Milk.
- Spanish Sahara: Chocolate → Milk → Ginger.
- Spiced Lady: Chocolate → Milk → Cinnamon.
Spanish Sahara and Spiced Lady only differ in their final ingredient. Chocobee Miruku puts Honey before Milk. The [Stevivor list](https://t.co/Wo23J8cPK0) also covers these chocolate recipes.
**Milk: five recipes**
- Bedchamber: Milk → Cinnamon → Honey.
- Milky Way: Milk → Honey → Mint.
- STMJ: Milk → Ginger → Honey.
- Lemony Snippet: Milk → Honey → Lemon.
- Le Menthol: Milk → Mint → Lemon.
Bedchamber and STMJ both finish with Honey, but Cinnamon and Ginger make them different drinks. Milky Way has Honey in the middle and Mint last. [Knoef's milk recipes](https://t.co/0ElG5QiuwT) confirm those orders.
**Plain drinks and orders without a special name**
Those 30 are the special collection. They aren't every possible combination the game lets you brew. Some customers want an ordinary drink that doesn't have its own special Brewpad entry.
Plain Milk is Milk → Milk → Milk. Honey Coffee can be made with Coffee → Honey → Honey, Honey Milk with Milk → Honey → Honey, and Ginger Green Tea with Green Tea → Ginger → Ginger. Don't reject a drink just because it doesn't have one of the special names above. Read what the person actually asked for.
If you notice a mistake before serving, use Trash while you still have discards available. Story mode gives you five per day, so don't burn through all of them casually. [Brewing and disposal reference](https://t.co/Gs6owOXwPP).
**Latte art**
Brew a drink with milk as a side ingredient, such as Caffe Latte or Cappuccino, then open Latte Art before serving it. You can pour milk and use the drawing tools to make a design. Baileys specifically asks for art with his Day 1 cappuccino, so remember that extra step.
You don't need an amazing drawing for the first latte-art achievement. Put something on the surface and serve the cup. The developers explain the pouring and drawing system in their [latte-art devlog](https://t.co/CupcJNV9k8).
**When Challenge Mode asks for flavors**
Later Challenge requests describe how a drink should taste instead of simply listing ingredients. Look at all four gauges: warm, cool, sweet, and bitter. Each goes up to eight bars.
- Not or no: zero bars.
- Less: one to three bars.
- The flavor without a modifier: four or five bars.
- Extra: six to eight bars.
If somebody asks for a warm, extra-bitter drink, satisfying only the bitterness isn't enough. Check both. Keep this recipe list nearby, but use the actual gauges for a custom order instead of assuming a familiar name will fit. [Challenge flavor guide](https://t.co/Gs6owOXwPP).
For the story's important choices, use the separate walkthrough. This list keeps the drinks together without giving away what happens to everybody.
