**Far Cry 6 Gear: Finding the Missing Pieces and Training K-9000 and Champagne**
The Prisoner's Scarf lets Dani perform takedowns on alerted enemies from the front. The Trapper Vest changes how wild animals react to you. Those are substantial abilities hiding in clothing slots, and Far Cry 6 gives you plenty of opportunities to overlook them while chasing another rifle.
This guide fills in the equipment side of a completion run: where to look up the original gear, how to find the five Trapper pieces, two easily overlooked story rewards, and all six training requirements for the paid companions K-9000 and Champagne.
**Finding a particular ability**
Dani wears five pieces: headwear, chestwear, legwear, footwear and wristwear. Their effects come from the equipped items, rather than skills permanently learned by spending points.
For a missing item, start with the [gear catalogue](https://t.co/SQnoX6ZPPn). [GIGA's German outfit reference](https://t.co/oit0ESkPee) supplies a second launch-era list.
If you remember an effect but not its item, the [Gear Mods index](https://t.co/lN8ZTbBXel) works in the other direction. Look up the ability, then find its associated clothing. Skip its separately labelled cut-content section: unused entries are not a shopping list of equipment you can earn.
These references are useful for the original equipment hunt. They should not be mistaken for a guarantee that every later promotional outfit, paid pack or rotating offer is currently available. Check the item's own acquisition information before spending money on an edition because somebody's 2021 guide mentions it.
The main acquisition routes are:
- Ordinary equipment: Libertad crates and the Bandidos Barracks shop.
- Criptograma rewards: the fifteen chart-pair chests.
- Angler equipment: the Fishing Hut upgrades.
- Primal equipment: trades involving Mythical Animal parts.
- Triada equipment: the relic quest and its associated locations.
- Special rewards: individual missions, story choices and fixed pickups.
That distinction matters when a final empty slot refuses to fill. Another random crate will not substitute for a reward attached to a particular mission. Check the route first; then plan the trip.
**All five Trapper pieces**
Trapper is a good example of a set worth hunting deliberately. Its pieces support bow use, animal encounters and quieter movement. You can mix them with equipment from other sets; matching the outfit does not add a separate set bonus.
Use the [five-piece route](https://t.co/1GHiE9NJtU) alongside these local checks:
- **Trapper Cap:** dive at the wreck south of Lucero Lighthouse, Costa del Mar. It extends breath-holding while aiming a bow.
- **Trapper Vest:** search the submerged wreck off Aguas Lindas' west coast. Animals leave you alone unless provoked.
- **Trapper Slacks:** search underwater south of Ciénaga Nublada National Park, Balaceras. They substantially improve protection against animals.
- **Trapper Boots:** dive directly in front of the partly submerged house in Halcón Reservoir, Barrial. A bow kill makes subsequent movement quieter.
- **Trapper Bracer:** search in front of the wreck by the rocks north of Bahía Tormentosa, Barrial. It slightly increases damage against tagged enemies.
Take a boat for the offshore searches rather than swimming out from an arbitrary stretch of beach. Once you find the correct structure, locate the equipment container before repeatedly diving into its deepest openings. A distinctive lighthouse or half-submerged house is a much better starting point than a broad coastline marker.
The vest's condition deserves attention: you can still provoke an animal. Do not put it on, shoot the nearest predator and expect the animal to remain friendly. For the bracer, remember to tag before attacking; wearing it does not supply the tag for you.
**Two rewards to check before moving on**
**Story and side-mission spoilers below.**
**2020 Victoria Fly “Seeby”**
During **Tanks for the Likes** in Barrial, Colton “CBSavage” Blake wants footage of himself facing military hardware. After the tank stunt goes wrong, inspect what is left at the filming location. The shoes are a physical pickup there. Collect them before heading back to upload the footage; finishing the recording objective and collecting the footwear are separate actions. The [mission walkthrough](https://t.co/bpnra4PJTX) shows the pickup stage.
The practical habit here is simple: when a quest ends with an unusual object left on the ground, check it before following the next distant marker. A reward existing in a mission does not always mean it automatically appears in your Arsenal.
**Canadian, Eh?**
At the end of **The Deported**, killing McKay awards the Canadian, Eh? wrist item, which pays pesos for poison kills. Sparing him gives money instead. That is an actual choice between rewards; ordinary crate hunting does not undo the decision. See the [McKay choice breakdown](https://t.co/nILenmYjNE) if you want the outcome before committing.
Choose with that information in mind. There is no need to pretend the clothing reward settles the story's moral argument for everybody.
**Keep the effect, change the appearance**
You do not have to dress Dani in five clashing pieces just to keep five useful effects. Open the Arsenal, select a gear slot, inspect the equipped item and choose the eye-shaped appearance option. Pick an appearance you have unlocked. The item supplying the ability stays equipped; the visible clothing changes. This [transmog guide](https://t.co/TZzyJU1aKh) shows the menu sequence.
Build around the effects first. Sort out the look afterward. That also makes it easier to spot an accidental equipment change: inspect the actual equipped item rather than relying on Dani's outfit in a screenshot.
**K-9000: all three training upgrades**
K-9000 belongs to the **Blood Dragon Set**; Champagne belongs to the **Vice Pack**. They are additional-content companions, not two missing wild recruits from the base-game animal quests. Ubisoft places eligible additional content after **The Guerrilla**; check the Amigos menu and your installed entitlement if a companion is missing. The [official content-location page](https://t.co/D5WpQ8Ycr0) distinguishes these rewards from ordinary pickups.
K-9000 resists bullet damage and is immune to fire and poison. Its training goes as follows:
- **Enhance:** let it receive 100 damage. This unlocks tagging of turrets, cameras, tripwires and alarms.
- **Enhance!!!:** have it tag 24 security systems. This improves its damage against tagged enemies.
- **Termination Protocol:** have it kill 50 tagged enemies. Fatal damage then triggers an explosive last act.
The [companion reference](https://t.co/afL7OshEcM) lists the requirements. Check the displayed counters between bases. For the second stage, visit a site with intact security systems before destroying every alarm yourself. For the third, tag the target, order the attack and let K-9000 finish it rather than taking the kill away at the last second.
There is no reason to risk Dani for a training counter. Work through encounters you can control, with a retreat route and room to revive the companion if needed.
**Champagne: all three training upgrades**
Champagne's progression revolves around kills, takedowns and collected money:
- **Greed Is Good:** 12 enemy kills unlock an increased takedown success chance as your carried pesos rise.
- **Predatory Instinct:** 24 takedown kills unlock looting after silent takedowns.
- **Sonic Snarl:** after Champagne loots 1,000 pesos, taking damage can trigger a roar that knocks down nearby enemies.
The kill requirement is listed in the companion reference above; the [Champagne ability breakdown](https://t.co/tGr3mgroI5) distinguishes the later takedown and looting counters.
Train those stages in order. Start with isolated enemies rather than sending the cat into an entire checkpoint. Once the looting ability is unlocked, let Champagne complete silent takedowns and check the money counter afterward. The final counter concerns money the companion collects, not simply the total pesos Dani happens to own.
A quiet approach is useful for more than preserving the outpost bonus: it gives the companion space to finish the specific action you are trying to train. Watch the counter, adjust the setup and move to the next target. That is more dependable than repeating a loud fight and assuming every kill advances every ability.
