**Far Cry 6 Progression: Gear, Camp Facilities and Useful First Upgrades** Far Cry 6 puts most of Dani's build choices into equipment. If you are looking for the familiar screen where experience buys a new branch of combat skills, start in the Arsenal instead. The clothes you wear, the weapons you modify and the facilities you build are where many of the practical improvements happen. That makes the first useful habit very simple: read the effect before equipping the item. Appearance and usefulness are separate questions. A piece that helps with a recurring problem can earn its place even when you have found something that looks more impressive. **Give the five gear slots a job** Head, chest, legs, feet and wrists can each contribute an effect. The Arsenal also provides acquisition hints for gear you have not found. Use those hints to turn a missing item into a specific objective instead of opening every crate in the country at random. A few useful examples show how differently the pieces work: - **Scrounger Helmet:** helps locate containers through walls. - **Prisoner's Shirt:** increases collected camp-building resources. - **Dark Tech Mask:** slows detection by security cameras and automatic turrets. - **Dark Tech Hoodie:** slows enemy detection without changing soldier suspicion. - **Prisoner's Scarf:** permits frontal takedowns on alerted enemies. - **Parkour Cap:** increases stamina. - **Street Surgeon Vest:** allows manual healing more frequently. - **Marksman's Goggles:** refund the round after a headshot kill. Those effects suggest several practical combinations. For exploration, prioritize finding supplies and moving comfortably between stops. Before a quiet base assault, trade the scavenging pieces for effects that support staying hidden. For a mission that regularly turns loud, give healing and appropriate protection more attention. Do not assume the entire outfit has to share a name. Choose the individual effects that support the job. A collection of matching clothes is less helpful than a build whose pieces all do something you will actually use. On an updated game you can save **four loadouts**, unlocked after **Libertad Rises**, and switch them through the Arsenal. That feature arrived in Title Update 5. Save a travel set, a stealth set and a loud-combat set before filling the fourth slot with something more specialized. [Ubisoft's update notes](https://t.co/gOxLaFG7sn). **Build the Hideout Network early** The **Hideout Network** is a strong first investment because its basic construction unlocks the wingsuit and access to purchasable hideout locations. The initial cost is **30 Metal and 30 Gasolina**. The advantage keeps paying back. More useful travel points let you approach an objective from a better direction and return to a region without repeating the whole journey. A wingsuit also makes height valuable. When you are choosing the next stop, look at the land around it as well as the distance on the map. The network's later improvements add support at the hideouts. Upgrade it when those return trips are becoming a regular part of your exploration. Keep some resources for other facilities rather than buying upgrades solely because you can afford the next button. **What all six facilities contribute** Each main guerrilla camp has **two facility spaces**. Across the three main camps, you can build all six different facilities. You are deciding what to obtain first and where to put it, rather than permanently choosing only two for the entire campaign. - **Hideout Network:** travel access and the wingsuit, followed by improved hideout support. - **Bandidos Barracks:** gear shopping and improvements connected to Los Bandidos recruitment and operations. - **Guerrilla Garrison:** weapons and reconnaissance support around military bases, with stronger friendly fighters as it improves. - **La Cantina:** meals that provide temporary benefits. - **Hunter's Lodge:** hunting information and upgrades, including access to useful hunting equipment. - **Fishing Hut:** fishing information, equipment and improvements to that activity. The construction desk is where you build and improve them. Check the displayed materials before committing; facilities compete for supplies that you may also want for another near-term improvement. **Choose the second facility for the problem you have** If you want more control over Dani's abilities, **Bandidos Barracks** makes a useful partner for the first Hideout Network. Its improved stock opens more gear options, and upgrading it to level three gives access to the highest tier of its normal shop selection. If your weapons are the weak point, move **Guerrilla Garrison** up the order. The additional choice can matter more than another small improvement to an outfit you are already comfortable using. Its reconnaissance tools also support the habit of learning a base before attacking it. If you are spending time hunting, **Hunter's Lodge** makes those trips more productive. Its upgrades eventually improve the returns from animals and ease restrictions on how their meat is obtained. That gives the activity a purpose beyond chasing whatever happens to cross the road. **Fishing Hut** belongs earlier for a player who actively wants to fish. Its value falls if you build it and never use the activity. The same principle applies to **La Cantina**: the benefits are worth remembering before a difficult trip, but an unused meal system cannot improve your next fight. There is no need to impose one rigid six-building order on everyone. Start with travel convenience, then improve the system you are actually using. Open another main camp when you want more construction slots rather than looking for a way to fit a third facility into the first one. **A straightforward progression routine** Before heading out, choose one useful improvement. It might be a gear effect, a weapon modification or a facility level. Check the requirement, then pick an objective or route that helps obtain it. After the trip, buy the improvement and put it into the loadout where it belongs. If it changes movement, detection or healing, spend a little time learning the difference before relying on it during a demanding mission. That routine keeps progression connected to the game you are playing. You come back with something useful, make a deliberate change and take a better-prepared Dani into the next stretch of Yara.
