**Far Cry 5 Prepper Stashes: Dutch’s Island and the Western Countryside**
Prepper stashes are worth stopping for. They give you a small problem to solve, then pay out with supplies that help on the next trip. Some need a key. Some send you climbing. A few look as though their owners made a determined effort to kill anybody who came to collect.
This route sheet covers Sunken Funds and eleven stashes around Holland Valley. It uses named map locations so you can combine nearby stops with other jobs. Read the note at each site before following the solution. The note activates the stash objective and helps the game track what you are doing.
Bring Grapple, a parachute, a gun with a useful scope and a little spare ammunition. Human Fish helps with the flooded bunkers. Check each chamber for the actual magazines and cash before leaving; reaching the room and collecting everything in it are separate actions.
**Begin on Dutch’s Island**
**Sunken Funds: Silver Lake Boathouse**
Read the note beside the flooded bunker. Go down to the boathouse and swim underneath it, surfacing inside. Switch on the power, then return to the bunker hut and turn the pump valve. Once the water drains, descend and break the boards blocking the supplies. Pick up the Compound Bow if you want an early quiet weapon.
This is the tutorial stash. Treat it as practice for the pattern that keeps returning: inspect the obstacle, follow the clue to the mechanism, then come back through the newly opened route.
**Northern and central Holland Valley**
**D.I.Y. and D.O.A.: Doverspike Compound**
Find the key in the main house, on a dresser near a bedroom doorway. Use it on the outbuilding and descend into the bunker. The stash has an electrical lock. Follow the bunker passage to the switch at the rear, activate it and return through the resulting fire sequence. The door becomes accessible after the electrical trouble. Wait for openings in the flames rather than trying to stand in them while sorting out the route.
**Dumpster Diving: Dodd’s Dumps**
The yard gives you a climbing route into the waste building. Look for the containers and explosive barrel that open the way, or work around to the accessible gap. Find the power switch inside. Once it is on, stay out of the water: the same electricity that opens the stash makes the flooded floor dangerous. Cross using shelves, fenced sections and raised surfaces until you reach the door.
**Vespiary: Grain Elevator**
Get onto the overhang at the back of the building and break through the boarded window. Climb through the interior toward the top, using the marked climbing points. Give the wasp nests room. The stash is high in the structure, so keep looking upward when the ground-floor rooms stop offering a way forward.
**High Tension: Lincoln Lookout Tower**
Start at the lookout tower and take its zipline to the tree platforms. Continue along the sequence of lines, jumps and the log connecting platforms. The final line delivers you to the stash. If you drop to the ground early, you have abandoned the approach that gets you through the roof; go back to the elevated route.
**Swingers: Bridge of Tears**
Read the note at the bridge. Take the zipline beneath the span, then use Grapple to swing between the hanging anchors and scaffold platforms. Look for the next attachment before releasing the current rope. Work along the bridge supports and drop into the final stash area.
The river is not the main difficulty here. Losing track of the next grapple point is. Stop on a platform whenever the view becomes confusing and find the next stage before jumping.
**Around the farms and the western roads**
**Long Range Lockpick: Deep North Irrigation Reservoir**
The locked hut can be opened from the far side of the water. Climb the house roof on the opposite bank and jump to the platform by the tree. Use a scoped rifle to shoot the lock through the window. Return across the reservoir and enter through the door.
A scoped weapon makes the small target easier to read. Fire one careful shot, check the result, then adjust if necessary.
**Foxhole: Armstrong Residence**
Read the note on the trunk outside the burnt house after clearing the cultists. Climb through the marked window, turn left through the doorway, then left again over the obstructed doorway. Take the collapsed ramp upward. Drop from its far side and follow the right wall to the table and shelving you can climb. Jump across the surviving upper sections toward the northeast corner, then turn south to reach the bunker hatch. Open it and descend for the stash. Take those jumps deliberately; the fire makes a missed landing unpleasant.
**Playing with Fire: the old Hope County Jail bus**
Read the note inside the bus, then search the drainage pipe under the nearby road. The stash is behind a locked gate. Follow the pipe out to its other end, then follow the blood trail to the dead body and take the key. Return to the pipe and open the gate. Stay alert inside the confined passage; wildlife is part of this stop too.
**Southern stops**
**Deep Dive: Laurel Residence**
The pump controls are inside the locked hut, and its keycard is in the flooded bunker. Open the nearby hatch, swim to the submerged table and collect the card. Return to the surface, unlock the hut and start the pump. Then go back down and break the wooden barrier to reach the supplies. Search the room before climbing out.
**Man Cave: Sunrise Threshing**
Climb the nearby tower and take its zipline into the fenced yard. Shoot the padlock on the fenced gate. Bring a pickup into position, hitch it to the trailer and pull the trailer away from the hatch it is covering. Go down through that hatch and climb the connecting ladder into the garage. The stash includes the custom 2012 Kimberlite TCZ.
Do the towing step before trying to force your way through the main garage entrance. The concealed lower route is the solution.
**Fire in the Hole: Wellington Residence**
The cabin sits near the southern end of Orville Creek. Break the floorboards inside to reveal the mine entrance. Collect the available dynamite and use it on blocked passages, standing well back from each blast. Work through the tunnels to the cavern with water. Destroy the obstruction at the stream so the water level rises, swim across and climb out on the far side. Follow the remaining passage to the stash; Grapple provides a convenient exit.
This one deserves a deliberate pace. Keep a close-range weapon ready for Angels, check each junction after clearing it, and avoid throwing explosives into the space you need to stand in next.
**Before leaving the area**
Check your map and journal for the completed stash mark, then check the room itself. Collect the perk magazines, open containers and take any reward you came for. If a marker remains unfinished, reread the objective rather than assuming the game needs a reload.
O’Hara’s Haunted House sits near the regional boundary and is covered with the northern/eastern stash group. That way the full set has one entry per stash without relying on conflicting regional labels used by different maps.
