**Far Cry Primal: opening the dangerous regions and beating Dah, Roshani, Ull and Batari**
The northern snowfields, poisoned passages and southern strongholds ask for different preparation. Takkar can see a destination on the map well before he has the equipment to stay there comfortably.
**Spoilers ahead for mission progression, fort commanders and both final boss fights.** This covers normal-mode access and six selected difficult encounters, not a walkthrough of every campaign mission. Owl attacks mentioned below require the appropriate skills and are not a Survivor-mode strategy.
**Build the route before taking the trip**
Wogah's progression supplies the grappling claw; Karoosh's opens Winter Clothing. Improve that clothing before a long northern trip. A route that looks manageable from the village becomes a different proposition when the cold is working against you throughout a fight.
Sayla's **Into Udam Land** leads to the yellow-leaf antidote progression. Prepare the antidote before passing through the poison toward the Udam homeland. For the Izila approach, have **Mammoth Rider** available and finish Tensay's **The Mask of Krati** before the final temple assault.
Bring upgraded weapons, plenty of healing ingredients and room to make more ammunition. If you use a beast, include food for it in that preparation. Spending everything on your own recovery can leave your strongest distraction lying on the ground just when the next group arrives.
**Into Udam Land: recover your gear, then escape**
Sayla sends you north for yellow leaves. Follow the stream toward the marker, moving around the falls rather than trying to climb every ridge in a straight line. Hunter Vision helps locate the plants. Gathering them leads to Takkar's capture.
Inside the prison, climb the small ledges and take the grappling claw. Use the ceiling attachment to swing onto or across the rock arch. Follow the bloody tracks toward daylight, avoiding the poison-filled drop. Take down the sentry beside your equipment and reclaim it. Your beast and owl are unavailable inside these caverns.
In the chamber with the overlooking Chieftain, the ledges near the torch provide a way around the lower enemies. Watch his attention before descending, then work along the left wall toward the exit. You can bypass surviving guards here.
Later, kill the **Cave Guardian** required by the objective. Use the high rock shelf to assess the remaining enemies before moving for the escape. Deal with ordinary pursuers quickly; avoid letting the slower Chieftains pin you against a wall.
The useful distinction is between an objective target and somebody standing near your route. Once the Guardian is down, check where the exit leads before committing to another lengthy fight.
**Big Darwa Fort: control the approach to Dah**
Dah's fort marker appears after **Attack of the Udam**. The fort sits south of the Udam homeland entrance. Its central canyon and rock bridge are the landmarks to study before starting trouble.
Scout the defenders and their reinforcement options with the owl. Remove horn carriers or disable the horns before the assault when possible. The bridge can funnel enemies into a narrower approach, but it also limits your own route toward Dah. Keep somewhere to retreat on your side before drawing everyone across it.
An alarm can bring Dah and his men out of the cave together. Avoid charging into that group while poison clouds linger around the approach. Move out of the fumes, separate the nearer attackers and use your improved spear or ranged attacks from a position with space to withdraw.
If the poison keeps deciding the fight, finish Into Udam Land and obtain the antidote before another attempt. Heavy Takedown is useful against eligible armored defenders; do not base the entire assault on ordinary arrows dropping every helmeted enemy instantly.
Clear the defenders and defeat the commander to secure the fort. Check the next village objectives afterward, because taking the fort and finishing the specialist's progression are different jobs.
**Fire Screamer Fort: work around the water and watch the ridge**
Roshani's marker appears after **The Taken Wenja**. Fire Screamer stands in southeastern Oros, north of the Izila marshland entrance. Water surrounds much of the fort, with mountains behind it and Roshani watching from a raised ridge.
Use the waterside approach to inspect the wall and the huts along its edge before entering. Scout for horns and destroy them before giving the defenders time to call help. The commander has company, including dangerous Chieftains, so identify a ranged firing position rather than climbing directly into the group.
Izila fire can rapidly spoil a comfortable piece of cover. Have the Fireproof food boost ready if available, and leave a second route out of your position. Back away from spreading flames before healing; trying to recover while standing in them spends resources without solving the problem.
A quieter opening gives you fewer directions to watch once the fort becomes alert. Clear an outside defender, move to another angle and reassess the ridge. When the remaining enemies converge, fight from the side you have already cleared rather than pushing deeper into fresh enemies.
**The Mask of Krati: follow the cave around to the mask**
Enter through the watery opening and swim into the sacred cave. Dismiss the beast if you want a quiet approach. The mask is above you across the chamber, so look for the climbing route instead of jumping at the nearest wall beneath its marker.
Work through the narrow passages toward the upper ledge. Near the mask's area, taking the small cave to the left brings you around behind the Izila. Clear the guards watching your landing and approach before interacting with the mask.
The escape still requires a route back through guarded caves. Move through one section at a time and keep the passage behind you open. A cramped corridor gives you little room to recover if you rush past an enemy and meet another coming the other way.
This route uses the cave passages rather than a glitch jump out of the mission space. You can keep it methodical: find the next climb, check the guard covering it, move, then repeat.
**Ull: make the ice do the heavy work**
Prepare the antidote for the poisoned Udam entrance, then follow the homeland objectives toward Ull's cave. Refill from the supplies before entering the final confrontation. Having resources in the bag matters more here than arriving with one impressive weapon and nothing left to replace it.
Ull stands beneath a hanging ice formation at the beginning. Shoot it to damage and stun him. Move behind him for the takedown opening, then regain some distance.
The puddles beneath other icicles show where to lure him for another drop. Keep the ice and the intended impact area in view while repositioning. A sting bomb can briefly occupy him there, but allow the insects' effect to clear before expecting the ice stun and takedown prompt to behave normally. Watch the actual prompt rather than rushing in because an animation looked close enough.
Supporting Udam will interrupt your setup. Give the beast those enemies and remove anyone blocking your next movement. Avoid leaving your companion to absorb Ull's heavy attacks while you wait for the perfect shot.
The trap to avoid is staring upward so long that you lose track of the fight at ground level. Find the icicle, establish where you want Ull standing, then return your attention to him. Move again if the lane fills with other attackers.
**Batari: move between boss damage and reinforcement waves**
Use the mammoth to break the Izila homeland gate, then complete the captive rescues. The freed Wenja join the temple assault. Help create the fallen-obelisk bridge, cross into the temple and resupply before the fight.
Batari shoots from a raised platform. Start behind the low central stonework and use it to break her line of sight between ranged attacks. Destroy the flammable cover she hides behind so you have clearer shots.
When she calls in the Izila, move to cover near the slope on the left side of her platform and deal with the wave. Keep low, watch for enemies arriving from the far side and prioritize Chieftains threatening your beast. If Batari still has an angle on you, adjust the position immediately rather than assuming the slope makes you invincible.
Heal and recover ammunition between waves, then return to a firing position against Batari. Late in the fight she descends toward you along that side of the arena. Stop treating your former shelter as a permanent safe spot: track her movement, use the beast to split attention and finish the fight without letting your health disappear.
The rhythm is straightforward once you respect the interruptions. Damage Batari from cover, survive the incoming group, recover, then resume. Spending your last arrows on a distant shot while a heavy fighter reaches you is a poor trade, even when her health bar looks nearly finished.
