**Far Cry 4's other DLC: escaping Durgesh, rescuing Hurk and finding The Syringe**
Far Cry 4 puts several very different things under its Season Pass. Escape from Durgesh Prison turns northern Kyrat into a timed challenge. Hurk Deluxe adds a handful of missions and equipment. The Syringe is another individual mission. Knowing that difference matters more than the size of the bundle's name.
The publisher's Season Pass listing includes those three, Valley of the Yetis and the Overrun competitive mode. The pass requires the base game; it does not replace it. Before buying, compare that list with the add-ons your edition already includes. [Official bundle contents](https://t.co/bBFrXj348h).
**Escape from Durgesh Prison: understand what actually resets**
This is a separate DLC challenge, not merely another name for the campaign mission **Don't Look Down**. It starts you in northern Kyrat with thirty minutes to reach extraction. Pagan's additional jobs can extend that time and improve the equipment or support available to you.
Death sends you back to the beginning of the run. However, the weapons and skills acquired during previous attempts carry forward. The marketing term “permadeath” can sound like every single improvement disappears; the publisher's own description explicitly preserves those weapons and skills. [Publisher mode description](https://t.co/BoEhjhtMOt).
Your mission progress and timer reset. Extraction-support rewards need to be earned again. Treat those as preparations for the current attempt rather than permanent additions to your character.
**Build a route around rewards**
Start by reading the objective rewards on the map. A nearby job that supplies a missing weapon or useful extraction defense can be worth more than an apparently shorter straight line to the finish.
A sensible run has three stages:
- **Get functional:** secure a usable weapon, healing materials and the skills needed for your preferred approach.
- **Prepare the escape:** complete manageable jobs that add time or improve the final defense. Group nearby tasks to reduce unnecessary travel.
- **Commit to extraction:** stop taking optional detours while you still have enough time to get there safely.
There are no ordinary shops or money to rely on in this mode. Outpost rewards differ, including weapons, skill points and crafting supplies. Weapon caches also matter. Nearby collectible activities can add time, but a difficult cliffside pickup may cost more than it returns if the climb goes badly.
Set a personal turnaround point while looking at the route. It should leave room for travel trouble, not merely match the map's apparent distance. The timer makes a minor wrong turn more expensive, and a rushed wingsuit landing can erase a perfectly viable attempt.
**The extraction point still has to be defended**
Reaching the marker begins the last stand against Yuma's forces. The support you earned during the run now becomes useful.
Before triggering the defense, know where you can heal, reload and retreat from a flanking attacker. Place any carried defensive equipment with your own escape paths in mind. Explosives directly beside the cover you intend to use can create a second problem when the first wave arrives.
If a run fails, distinguish the cause. A weak weapon, a bad route and an exposed defensive position call for different fixes. Keeping earned skills and weapons gives you room to improve the next attempt without pretending the failed one never happened.
**Hurk Deluxe: five missions, five weapons**
The pack groups together:
- **Hurk's Redemption:** three missions involving Hurk's rescue.
- **Blood Ruby:** recover a rare gemstone from a mine controlled by Pagan's forces.
- **Yak Farm:** defend the farm against a raid.
Its equipment list includes **The Impaler harpoon gun, Arena Machete, Driller PKM, Sandman 1911 and Elephant double-barrel rifle**. Those five items are a different category of bonus from another standalone campaign. [Publisher pack listing](https://t.co/uVgcu29tHA).
For the missions, build around the objective rather than bringing the loudest possible kit everywhere. A rescue or recovery job benefits from a quiet ranged option and controlled shots. A defensive assignment benefits from a quick answer to enemies closing on what you must protect. Keep an explosive option available where appropriate, but look beyond the target before firing it.
**The Syringe and Overrun**
**The Syringe** concerns a powerful recipe that Ajay must keep out of Pagan's hands. It is the Season Pass's exclusive mission, separate from the Hurk Deluxe group. Its name also has nothing to do with unlocking the ordinary crafting menu's healing syringes. [Mission description](https://t.co/icJGF0EbX0).
**Overrun** is competitive multiplayer content, not a solo story expansion. An old store description establishes what was sold, not whether a match is easy to find now. If your goal is more Ajay story or solo exploration, keep that distinction clear when reading the bundle contents.
For a compact campaign, look to Valley of the Yetis. For repeated timed attempts, Durgesh offers the stronger change of rules. For a few extra assignments within the familiar game, Hurk Deluxe and The Syringe fill that role.
