**Far Cry 4 crafting: the skins you need and every Kyrat Fashion Week hunt** Spoiler level: animals, equipment upgrades and outpost names. No major story revelations. A full loot bag is a lousy reason to abandon a useful hunting trip. Far Cry 4 starts you with limited carrying space, so a few targeted upgrades can make the next several hours much more comfortable. The weapon holster deserves early attention because extra slots change your options in every encounter. The loot bag is close behind it. Then improve the ammunition or healing capacity you actually keep running out of. Upgrading a bag for equipment you rarely use can wait. **The complete recipe ladder** Each line lists the materials for successive upgrades, in order. The named rare animal at the end supplies one special skin. The holster has three upgrades; the other categories have four. [Recipe reference](https://t.co/nTBncSVnSI). - **Weapon holster:** 3 Tibetan Wolf → 3 Malayan Tapir → 3 Honey Badger. - **Wallet:** 2 Bharal → 3 Assam Macaque → 4 Asian Rhino → Mad Devil. - **Loot bag:** 2 Sambar → 3 Pig → 4 Demon Fish → Ghost Bear. - **Syringe kit:** 2 Wild Boar → 3 Tibetan Wolf → 4 Malayan Tapir → Sky Tiger. - **Bait bag:** 2 Dhole → 3 Yak → 5 Bear → Gulo. - **Ammo bag:** 2 Wild Boar → 3 Bharal → 4 Clouded Leopard → Shadow Leopard. - **Throwables bag:** 2 Yak → 3 Dhole → 5 Bengal Tiger → Black Water Dragon. - **Explosives bag:** 2 Asian Rhino → 3 Snow Leopard → 5 Sambar → Thick Skin. - **Heavy ammo bag:** 2 Bengal Tiger → 3 Bear → 4 Snow Leopard → Karkadann. - **Quiver:** 1 Pig → 3 Clouded Leopard → 4 Honey Badger → Tenzin. A regular Clouded Leopard and the named Shadow Leopard are different targets. The same distinction applies to ordinary bears, wolves and tigers versus their Fashion Week counterparts. Collecting more ordinary hides will not substitute for the rare hunt. **A hunting trip with a purpose** Pick two upgrades before you leave. If the immediate goal is the second holster and a better syringe kit, you know why you are looking for tapirs and wolves instead of filling the bag with everything that moves. Use the revealed animal areas on the map to choose a destination. Those icons describe habitats, not a promise that a particular animal will be standing directly beneath the marker. Search the surrounding ground, listen, and move on to another useful area if the first is quiet. For ordinary hunting, clean kills with bows, bolts or the knife can improve your skin yield. Fire and explosives are poor choices when the aim is an undamaged ordinary hide. Keep a defensive weapon available anyway; surviving the unexpected predator takes priority over a perfect harvest. Demon Fish require a different approach. Scout the water from the bank before entering it, deal with the fish from a position where you can see what you are shooting, and only then go in for the skin. Avoid turning a collection errand into a fight you can barely see. Craft an upgrade as soon as you have the materials. It frees space and gives you the benefit immediately. Before selling hides, check the next recipe you intend to make. **Unlocking Kyrat Fashion Week** Liberate Kyra Tea Weigh Station, then visit the House of Chiffon quest that appears to the west. Mumu Chiffon's work opens the rare-animal hunts. Individual hunts come from particular liberated bases, and some require access to northern Kyrat. Follow the hunt's weapon restriction. These missions deliberately make exceptions to ordinary hunting habits: Black Water Dragon calls for explosives, while Thick Skin calls for fire. Bring the required weapon type and read the objective again before landing the final hits. **All nine rare hunts** These are the bases where you obtain the hunts, followed by the required method and the equipment the skin finishes: - **Black Water Dragon:** Kyra Tea Weigh Station; explosives; throwables bag. - **Tenzin:** Kyra Tea Terraces; ordinary arrows or bolts; quiver. - **Karkadann:** Shanath Breeders; shotgun; heavy ammo bag. - **Gulo:** Pranijagat School; light machine gun; bait bag. - **Sky Tiger:** Barnali's Textiles; assault rifle; syringe kit. - **Shadow Leopard:** KEO Logging Camp; assault rifle; ammo bag. - **Mad Devil:** KEO Gold Storage; ordinary arrows or bolts; wallet. - **Ghost Bear:** KEO Pradhana Mine; shotgun; loot bag. - **Thick Skin:** Rajgad Gulag; fire; explosives bag. Use the base list as a planning tool. If you need a specific final upgrade, liberating its associated base has a clear payoff. You do not have to wander from animal icon to animal icon hoping the named creature will appear. **A few hunts worth preparing for** Karkadann gives you a large charging target and a short-range weapon requirement. Keep solid obstacles between you and its approach, then reposition before trying to reload in the open. Ghost Bear takes you into a cave. Clear space behind you before advancing deeper, keep healing ready, and avoid backing into a wall while concentrating on the target. For Sky Tiger and Shadow Leopard, identify the named animal before committing. Other cats can share the hunt area, and the wrong target can distract you at the worst time. Thick Skin is the obvious warning that these are special encounters. Fire is part of the objective, so plan your own movement around it as well as the elephant's. A fence is a poor substitute for a substantial obstacle when something that large is coming through. Once the final skin is collected, open crafting and finish the upgrade. The useful reward is the capacity you take into the rest of Kyrat.
